Went there in Oct 2022 for skin consult. Face rashed up very easily, from heat, sweat, tears, dust etc. Was on corticosteroid and taking antihistamines nearly daily. Face also flushed very easily, and had patches of red bumps at times. Went there, told it was nothing. I asked about rosacea. The doctor (a senior consultant) told me that it wasn't rosacea, that for rosacea, the nose would have thickened skin and be bulbous. I shared that that was only one form of rosacea from what I researched, and that mine could be papulopustular or vascular rosacea. He seemed taken aback that I knew these things, though a quick google search would tell you as such. He then said that what I'm doing is already what they will prescribe for rosacea anyway - differin and azelaic acid. He said to continue with those. I shared that these weren't working, and asked about the frequent rashes and redness. He then called my skin issues "ladies' sensitivities" and that there was nothing to be done about this. Fast forward to now - after 2 years of struggling with rashes to the point of avoiding exercise, and getting perioral dermatitis from overuse of steroid creams, I finally saw a private derm. He immediately diagnosed rosacea, put me on meds and cream, and in a month, all my problems are gone. And I've been exercising/hiking every single day without any issue. It makes me mad to think that my troubles and headaches could've been over two years ago, if the doctor had been anywhere near as competent/caring as the private derm.
