Funeral arrangements in Singapore typically begin with an initial call to discuss the deceased's religion or tradition, the family's preferred wake format (HDB void deck, funeral parlour, or home), duration (typically two to three nights), and specific rites or customs. Families are guided through decisions on casket or urn selection, floral tributes, catering for mourners, transport for the cortège, cremation or burial at approved facilities, and the necessary death-registration paperwork. A named contact who coordinates across all these elements from first call to final rites is worth confirming at the outset, as is a written itemised quotation covering all components.
To begin, contact Shan Fa Tang by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to discuss your family's requirements and request an itemised quotation in writing before committing.

We are very grateful to Elaine Chai, our undertaker in charge, for her professionalism and compassion during this difficult time. From the beginning, Elaine handled everything with great care, patience, and respect for our family and our loved one. She guided us through the entire process clearly and calmly, making sure every detail was well taken care of. Her kindness, understanding, and willingness to go the extra mile gave our family comfort and peace of mind during such an emotional period. Thank you, Elaine and team, for your dedication and for supporting our family with such sincerity and empathy. We truly appreciate all the effort you put in to help us give our loved one a respectful and meaningful farewell.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Indren and the entire team for conducting my father’s final rites with such care and professionalism. All logistics were handled smoothly, and the team respected our instructions on how my father should be presented at his funeral with great attention to detail. Everything was managed seamlessly, without any hiccups, which gave our family much peace of mind during a very difficult time. A special thank you goes to Joel for his prompt responses, patient coordination, and support in accommodating multiple last-minute requests. We truly appreciate that he even checked in after the funeral to ensure everything was in order. Room for improvement would be in the ritual portion and the itinerary for the days, which could be more detailed and regularly updated to keep the family informed. Overall we are satisfied with your service and support. Thank you Singapore casket 🙏
A huge thank you to Ms. Ellaine Chai and her team. To mention Anthony, Aru,Joshua, TP, Jaya, KK, As our case was extra special, no embalming involved, they did their best for the family to let us view him one last time before sealing the casket. Everything was handled smoothly and with care, and it really helped take a load off our minds during a tough time. The staff were respectful, patient, and professional throughout, Especially Ms. Ellaine, the Funeral director who made sure everything runs smoothly from start to end. I even had to call her in the middle of the night and that she was prompt in attending the issue. The wake was held at our residence and that they set it up beautifully. I know my husband would have been proud of what the team has done. It felt like he was already in paradise. Flowers filled our house until the garage. We truly appreciate the support and service Ms Ellaine, Anthony and her team have provided.
We are truly grateful for the support and professionalism shown by our funeral advisor - Ms Elaine Chai during my dad’s final journey. From the very beginning, she was respectful, patient, and incredibly well-organized. She guided us through every step and took care of all the arrangements seamlessly, allowing our family to focus on remembering and honoring my dad without having to worry about the administrative details. During such a difficult time, her calm presence and attention to detail meant a lot to us. Thank you for helping us give my dad a dignified and meaningful farewell. Also special mention to the support team helmed by Ms Lina who ensured that the final day to Mandai crematorium, as well as the ash scattering at Choa Chu Kang was seamless.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the excellent service and care provided by Singapore Casket. We wish to especially commend CYRUS KOH for his professionalism and support. He was highly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us clearly and patiently. When we were uncertain about some decisions, he provided thoughtful recommendations that ultimately worked out very well for us. Throughout the three days, he regularly checked on us, making sure everything was alright and that we were coping. My family and I are deeply grateful for the compassion and care shown to us during this difficult time. Here are some additional comments from my family members. The Regency Room exceeded our expectations. Its soothing pastel-coloured interior created a dignified and comforting environment for visitors to pay their respects. Many guests felt at ease and stayed longer to spend time with the family. The complimentary hot drinks machine and box of cakes were thoughtful gestures that were very much appreciated. The provision of a safe for condolence monetary gifts was also practical and reassuring. Additional chairs were promptly arranged upon request for the Memorial Service. The transition to Mandai Crematorium was smooth and well-coordinated. The staff, led by Aru, guided us professionally through every stage — from the photo-taking session before departure to the final service and cremation. The ash scattering session at the Garden of Peace was also conducted seamlessly, with clear guidance from Ben. We are grateful for the professionalism and care shown throughout.

Funeral service costs in Singapore vary considerably depending on the religious or cultural tradition, wake duration, venue type, casket or urn selection, catering, and whether cremation or burial is chosen. A basic Buddhist or Taoist funeral package typically starts from around S$3,000–5,000, while more comprehensive arrangements — including a multi-night wake, full floral tributes, and cremation — can range from S$8,000 to S$20,000 or more. Request a full itemised quotation from Shan Fa Tang covering all components: the package base, casket or urn, hearse and cortège transport, cremation or burial fees, venue charges, catering, and any disbursements such as Mandai Crematorium or cemetery fees. Shan Fa Tang is listed under funeral services rather than ongoing personal or home care, so the live-in versus visit-based framing does not directly apply. The scope of service here covers the full funeral arrangement process — from collection of the deceased through to the final rites, wake management, and post-cremation or post-burial coordination. Families requiring ongoing eldercare support — such as home nursing visits, day-care attendance, or live-in caregiver placement — should consult providers registered with the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Ministry of Health. Shan Fa Tang's core strength appears to be in end-of-life and funeral coordination rather than ongoing care provision. Confirm the exact scope of services directly when you call.
Funeral service practitioners in Singapore are not currently regulated under a mandatory licensing body in the same way as medical or care professionals, though reputable firms operate within industry norms and may hold voluntary affiliations. ACRA registration, which Shan Fa Tang holds, confirms a legitimate registered business entity. The company is also KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. With 931 Google reviews at 4.9 out of 5, the volume of independent feedback provides a strong signal of consistent handling across diverse religious and cultural traditions. When you make first contact, ask directly about the team's experience with your family's specific tradition (Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, free-thinker), whether a dedicated coordinator is assigned throughout, and what the process is if any arrangements need to be adjusted at short notice.
