About Sharon Chen Photography

About Sharon Chen Photography

Sharon Chen Photography is an islandwide photography and videography service based at 30 Sturdee Road, Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified, confirming that operating details and contact channels have been checked by a real person. Across 66 Google reviews, the practice holds a 4.9/5 rating — a moderate sample that nonetheless points consistently in one direction. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range tier ($$), with packages available for enquiry.

For families and couples considering a booking, the typical starting point is reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm date availability and discuss the scope of the shoot — event type, headcount, venue, preferred style (documentary, editorial, or a mix), and the number of hours of coverage required. Package pricing usually bundles a set number of edited images or a video cut, with additional deliverables — extended coverage hours, same-day slideshow, raw footage, or a second shooter — available as add-ons. Lead time matters significantly: for weddings, popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November book out six to twelve months ahead, while for baby full-month or birthday celebrations, six to twelve weeks is generally sufficient. Confirm the deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing) and the balance schedule, as well as the turnaround time for edited images or the final video cut.

The clearest next step is to reach out via WhatsApp or the contact form with your event date, venue, and type of coverage needed, and ask for the current package menu and availability.

Engaged Chris as my actual day wedding photographer and Daniel as actual day wedding videographer and my husband I are very pleased with their services. Our package also came with a complimentary pre wedding shoot of which we chose to have a casual one. Chris got to know us more during this time, so we were comfortable with each other during the actual day. Chris and Daniel were punctual, responsive, responsible and professional from the preparation up till the wedding day and even after. Will recommend to anyone looking for wedding photog/videographer!

If Chris is available, you have to book him!!!! I booked Chris to shoot my marriage proposal in Singapore. Chris helped me choose the ideal location that fit what I was looking for. He was very responsive throughout the planning process. On the day of, it was forecasted to rain which would have made the shoot really difficult. Chris monitored the situation throughout the day and we discussed back up plans. Luckily, the weather held up and we were able to move forward as planned. Chris was very detailed in his instructions and captured the moment flawlessly. After the proposal, we took more photos and Chris gave great direction on posing and composition. He chose such an incredibly location and took away a lot of the stress and nerves. I can’t recommend him enough!

Our actual day wedding photographer was Chris Chang, and the photos he took speak far beyond memories. They truly capture the moments as they happened. Every picture tells a story, a moment that I now carry in my heart. From the start of the engagement all the way to our actual day, everything went smoothly, and communication with him was always pleasant and easy. Words could not express how grateful we are for the way he captured every moment from the start of the day to the very end, including all the little moments we didn’t get to witness ourselves while changing outfits. And that i know , everyone had a very fun and enjoyable day, and we definitely glad the moment is not lost.

Couldnt imagine engaging any other photographer on our wedding day, Chris was very professional and experienced. He had 2 pre wedding consultations with us to find out more about what we want. The photos turned out amazing!!

Chris was my photographer and took my destination wedding photos in Edinburgh. Even though it was his first time at a new venue, he was still able to capture beautiful shots. All my friends and family complimented how gorgeous the photos were. He is also very experienced and very familiar with Singaporean wedding customs such as the Chinese tea ceremony. Chris is friendly in nature and easy to communicate with! Highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Sharon Chen Photography charge?

Sharon Chen Photography uses a package-based pricing model, positioned in the mid-range tier. Singapore market norms for photography and videography services: wedding full-day photography typically runs S$2,500–6,000+, full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+, and combined photo-and-video packages can reach S$8,000–15,000+ for premium coverage. Portrait sessions, baby full-month shoots, and birthday event coverage are usually priced lower, often S$500–2,500 depending on duration and deliverables. When requesting a quote, confirm what is included in each package tier: number of hours of coverage, number of edited images or video length, turnaround time, travel charge for non-central venues, and whether a second shooter or assistant is part of the package. Also clarify the deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing) and the balance schedule. GST may apply depending on the provider's registration status. How far ahead should I book Sharon Chen Photography?

Lead time varies significantly by event type. For weddings, particularly popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November, bookings with well-reviewed photographers tend to fill six to twelve months in advance. Couples who have a firm venue date should enquire as early as possible, as the photographer's calendar — not the venue's — is often the tighter constraint. For birthday parties, baby full-month or 100-day celebrations, and family portrait sessions, six to twelve weeks is generally sufficient, though peak school-holiday periods (June, November, and December) can tighten availability. Confirm whether the date is held by a deposit at the time of enquiry, and ask about the rescheduling policy should your event date change — most photographers allow one rescheduling within a set window without forfeiting the deposit. If any portion of the shoot is outdoors or at an open-air venue, ask about the wet-weather contingency plan before signing.

What does the deposit cover and what is the cancellation policy at Sharon Chen Photography?

The Singapore photography industry standard is a non-refundable deposit of 30–50% on signing, which secures the date exclusively for your event and typically covers the pre-event consultation and any planning hours. The remaining balance is usually due one to two weeks before the event date. Confirm these terms in writing before paying. For cancellations, deposits are typically non-refundable but may be transferable to a future date at the photographer's discretion — ask specifically whether this applies and within what timeframe. If your event is at an HDB void deck, condo function room, or a hotel venue, the venue may require the photographer to produce a public liability insurance certificate before allowing entry on the day; confirm this with both the venue and Sharon Chen Photography ahead of time so there are no access issues. Put all deliverables, coverage hours, edited-image count, video duration, turnaround timelines, and rescheduling terms in writing — a signed contract protects both parties.
