About Sho Music
Sho Music is a music school operating islandwide from its centre at Havelock Road in Singapore. The provider is KakiList verified, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channel. It carries a rating of 3.8 out of 5 across 14 Google reviews, though this is a small sample and should be treated as directional only. Pricing sits at the mid-range marker ($$), though no specific per-session or monthly fee data is available.
For families enquiring about music lessons, the usual starting point is to ask about level and syllabus fit — whether lessons are aligned to ABRSM, Trinity, or another grading board — and to confirm whether tuition is offered one-to-one or in small groups. It is worth clarifying which instruments are taught, the age range catered for, and whether lessons are available in-person at Havelock Road or online. Ask about term commitment and whether a trial class or introductory session is available before signing up for a longer package. Parents should also confirm whether there are any material or examination fees on top of regular lesson fees.
To take the next step, contact Sho Music via phone or the enquiry form listed on this page to ask about current availability, the instruments and levels offered, and pricing before committing to a term.

It seemed to be a good place for kids to learn music there. I heard a child playing during his class and his teacher seemed to be attentive. The negative thing is after certain hours, no admin or receptionist will be available to answer anything, only left the music teacher
I recommended SHO music school to a friend after chancing upon it on Red. She brought her little one for trial classes and since then have started her little one on lessons. My friend told me her little one is learning so much and making great progresses. Her interest in music has increased a lot, they noticed that she is a lot more motivated to practice at home too. The teacher is very patient and has good teaching methods for children. The school is also flexible with scheduling lessons, to fit her little one’s availability. It takes 24 hours lead time to reschedule which is very reasonable. I like that they don’t need to fix the time every week. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful too. I went to try their singing classes as well and decided to take on their singing class packages. The staff is so very friendly and approachable. The ambience is also great. They have a very good taste in their interior design which is a huge plus if you are here for the relaxing vibes. Will definitely recommend this school to anyone.
One star is an overstatement for this school… Had a very bad experience with the school. We had booked piano trial lessons for our kids but had some unexpected last- minute issue since my kids are still small. I was politely approached to ask if we can start the lessons 30 mins later. Though I understood it’s mostly our reason, the school is extremely unfriendly and has no action or intention to help parent relieve the issue. I was blamed on chat and all their focus is “trial fees are not refundable” “ “ the school will be closed if all rescheduled as last-minute as you” “it’s your problem”. So with no help from the school at all, I had to forfeit our trial fees and cancel the lessons. Additionally, since I heard the school from an independent Chinese app 小红书, I went back to write my experience on their page, but the school deleted my comment and blocked me. I had never known that they could delete comments as they wish, so the page only reflects a “self- engineered” reputation. They also rejected my call as I was hoping to discuss a potential solution. I believe every one is deserve to comment freely about their experience and a good school should never fear about negative comments. The school has a terrible reputation in my view and will only prioritize their own benefits if clash with others. The school is unfriendly to young kids that potential parents should be aware.
This is a very good music school. It is well renovated and offers a wide range of classes. The teachers are very professional and good at communicating with students. My vocal teacher is very encouraging. I enjoy the lessons every week. 5 star recommendation!
Nice environment and quiet. Good place to enjoy music.

Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial lesson or introductory session, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the registration process. A trial class is a useful way to assess whether the teaching style suits your child, whether the pace and level are appropriate, and whether the student feels comfortable with the teacher. During a trial, look out for how the teacher structures the session, how they respond to the student's current ability, and whether they explain goals clearly. It is also a good opportunity to ask about the syllabus pathway and what progression looks like over a term or year. Contact Sho Music directly to ask whether a trial class is available and what it involves before signing up for a term commitment.
No information about tutor qualifications has been provided in the current listing. For music teachers, relevant credentials typically include performance or music education degrees, diplomas from recognised conservatories, ABRSM or Trinity teaching qualifications, and prior teaching experience across different age groups and levels. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether the teacher has experience preparing students for ABRSM or Trinity graded examinations if that is relevant to your goals, and how many years they have been teaching the specific instrument. Contact Sho Music directly to ask about the qualifications and experience of the teacher who would be assigned to your lessons.
