About Singapore Cancer Society

About Singapore Cancer Society

Singapore Cancer Society is an islandwide eldercare and end-of-life support organisation based at 30 Hospital Boulevard, #16-02 NCCS Building. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered. Its Google rating stands at 4.9 out of 5 from 14 reviews — a small sample, so treat this figure as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level; no specific package rates are publicly listed, so families should contact the organisation directly for a detailed cost breakdown.

Families seeking support through Singapore Cancer Society would typically begin with a phone enquiry or by submitting the online contact form to outline their situation and care requirements. The scope of engagement spans eldercare and funeral-related services for cancer patients and their families, which may include practical assistance, financial aid referrals, and end-of-life care coordination. Given the medical and psychosocial dimensions of cancer care, it is advisable to identify the patient's current treatment stage, mobility and medical needs, and whether the family requires short-term or ongoing support before the first conversation. A care coordinator will generally guide families through the available services and any means-tested assistance that may apply.

To take the next step, contact Singapore Cancer Society directly by phone or through the online form to describe your family's situation and confirm which services are currently available and how quickly support can be arranged.

Feedback based on personal experience. Grateful for transportation to convey cancer patients for appointments but please improve on communication between staff and driver. Twice not able to take the transport. Hope the management see this feedback and improve on this. Other than that no issue. Updated post Apology received from team. Well done.

Really appreciate the group of Dr Michael lee and Caroline for taking care of my mother with so much patience and always making sure we do not have any more to worry about. They were also patient in answering any doubts, ensuring that we are well aware of the current condition and etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Singapore Cancer Society charge?

Singapore Cancer Society has not published a detailed public price list, and costs will vary depending on the nature and duration of support required. Families should enquire directly by phone or form to receive a breakdown of any fees, including whether services are means-tested or subsidised for eligible patients and caregivers. For context, eldercare and end-of-life support services in Singapore typically involve a mix of subsidised and fee-based components. It is worth asking specifically about what is included in any package, whether public holiday or after-hours surcharges apply, and whether AIC or other government subsidies can be applied to reduce out-of-pocket costs. Live-in or visit-based — which does Singapore Cancer Society offer?

Singapore Cancer Society's services are oriented towards cancer patients and their families, and the organisation offers support across different stages of the care journey rather than a single live-in or visit-based model. Families should enquire directly about the specific scope available — including whether care coordination, home-based support, or facility-based services apply to their situation. A trial or assessment period is advisable before committing to any ongoing arrangement, and families should confirm in writing the hours, scope of care, and what happens if a caregiver or service coordinator needs to be reassigned. Replacement and continuity policies vary and are worth clarifying upfront.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

Singapore Cancer Society is an established non-profit organisation with structured programmes, and staff and volunteers involved in care delivery are expected to meet relevant training standards. However, no regulatory licences such as AIC or MOH registration are currently listed in this profile, which limits independent verification of clinical credentials. Families with complex medical or nursing needs should confirm directly whether the service includes trained healthcare professionals and what oversight structure is in place. For insurance coverage relating to caregiver injury or client incidents during service delivery, ask Singapore Cancer Society to clarify its organisational liability coverage before commencing care. Listing data is incomplete — contact Singapore Cancer Society directly to confirm details.
