4 things that made my first pap test a great experience: 1) It's at no cost 2) You will have a female doctor to do the procedure 3) The speculum used was plastic, not uncomfortable 4) Quick and painless, no uncomfortable sensations whatsoever apart from the insertion of the speculum for some Bonus points: 1) Dr Wong was lovely, I think this really helped with being relaxed during the procedure, which is important for reducing any discomfort 2) She offered to teach me how to do a proper breast examination, which I recommend even for people who are familiar with it as you might learn something new Please do not hesitate to get your first check and donate to SCS! 🙏

For ladies who are avoiding your pap smear/hpv test, please come to this clinic with assurance! I am someone with very low pain tolerance (the kind that refuses to let small scratches get wet) and was absolutely terrified of my first pap smear. The doctor and clinic assistant (both women) were very sweet and patient. They take the time to explain the details, take proper patient history, and the procedure was painless and very swift. The clinic bed area is very quiet and I felt it was a safe space without distractions or noise for the test to be done, especially as I was anxious. Everything was efficient, there was no wait due to the way they seamlessly schedule appointment slots. They also smoothly emailed me my results in less than a month. Dr Rauzanah is clearly competent and stellar in her work, I’ve seen many other general physicians who are indifferent towards patients and care less for someone they only see once! Overall, I wish all healthcare services worked like this clinic, a sincere and solid 5 stars!

I had an excellent experience with the Singapore Cancer Society. After submitting a screening appointment request online, I received a call the same day—super efficient. Ai Beng helped me schedule the appointment and greeted me with a warm smile upon my arrival. The process was smooth and quick; after completing some administrative paperwork, I met Dr. Rauzanah, who was very experienced, friendly and just amazing at what she does. The procedure was comfortable, painless, and completed swiftly. I was also pleased to learn that the procedure was free as part of the Scan for Life initiative. A huge thank you to Dr. Rauzanah, Ai Beng, and the entire team at the Singapore Cancer Society for their selfless dedication. Waited for few days then responded from the clinic. This mammogram is recommended by government for Singapore women 50 years old n above. My screening done on the 1st December 2023, the queue is well managed n the clinic is not crowed. As informed by the staff result will be send by mail in 10 weeks time. On the 19th February made a enquiry call to clinic, was told that I have to wait till end February to receive my result. I want to ensure I get my result soon so reconfirmed my mailing address with the staff. On 20th March I made another call to the clinic, this time I requested to know is it my result have issue? But the staff told me she is not able to view it in the system. But she asked for my email address n confirmed that she will inform their headquarter to send my result through email, I will get it within 7 days. On the 6th days still waiting, feeling angry n worried, finally in the evening I received the letter through normal mail. Glad to know that my result is normal. The letter received dated 10 January 2024, but was posted out after my last enquiry call on 20th March. Why took them so long times to post it out? Is it because is a free services provided by SCS? Previously I had the screening at Polyclinic which cost $50, Dame it! My worried cost more than $50. I definitely not go back to SCS again !
