I highly recommend Dr. Chuah. His medical skill is evident, but what truly impressed me was his patience and dedication to ensuring my understanding. He explains complex conditions clearly, even drawing diagrams to simplify things and clear up any doubts I had. Furthermore, Dr. Chuah is incredibly vigilant and holds a high standard for clinical care. During my post-operative care, he ensured every necessary step was taken, including personally making sure my essential eye drip was started right away. This commitment to detail truly impressed me. The support from his team is outstanding. Since this was my first surgery, they were incredibly reassuring, constantly checked in on me, and provided helpful appointment reminders. I first came to Dr Chuah's clinic in 2024 when my daughter had an eye abscess that went awry on a Friday late afternoon. After calling numerous eye specialists who were closed, full or was only able to give the earliest appointment the next day, we chanced upon Specialist Eye & Eyelids Clinic, who kindly slotted me into their overtime slot and the rest is history. This year, I had a retina detachment and all it took was a phone call to fix an appointment and all else were sorted out fuss free. One of the key attraction for going back to Dr Chuah was i) the vast experience in both the public and private sectors ii) both himself and staff were very well versed with the various pros and cons of differenthospital packages, insurance that is eligible for claims iii) the very diverse patients who see him, from teenagers to elderly folks, locals and foreigners etc., with Dr Chuah effectively billingual and also conversing in dialect for some elderly patients, iv) use of a video projector to see the inside of the eye and explaning the condition both in technical and layman's lingo v) equally as important are the staff, who works with impeccable efficiency and provided me with very valuable 'non-googleable' information that made my post surgery so much less daunting. I had a smooth post surgery and Dr Chuah also detected other issues with my eye which he corrected before it escalated into other emergencies, not to mention that he called me when he was on overseas leave when I told his staff that I experienced some discomfort during my recuperation period. I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr Chuah and the team and hope he does not retire too early so that he can continue to provide the highest level of eye care in S'pore! Sam

Thank You, Dr. Chuah I want to express my deepest thanks to Dr. Chuah, who diagnosed my eye conditions and discovered that I have glaucoma and cataract. He did a wonderful job and takes everything step by step, always making sure I feel comfortable before proceeding with the next part of the surgery. Dr. Chuah’s skills are truly remarkable. He never pressures his patients into making quick decisions about surgery. Instead, he provides ample time to consider all options and ensures his patients feel fully comfortable and confident with him first. His recommendations are always professional, and he takes the time to clearly explain the pros and cons in detail. He is a very clean, careful, and well-organised surgeon, especially when it comes to scheduling and performing surgeries. I have been his patient since 2011, when I first did my optosis procedure with him. More than a decade later, I still return to him for my cataract and glaucoma treatments. Well done, Dr. Chuah! I highly recommend him to anyone who needs treatment for eye conditions such as optosis, myopia, glaucoma, or cataract. He is truly the best surgeon I have ever experienced. I had just completed a bilateral upper eyelid distichiasis with Dr Chuah at Specialist Eye and Eyelids clinic. Dr Chuah is very responsible and detailed doctor. He will always act and think in the best interest of his patients. During my first consultation, he will carefully explained my condition in the simplest term and list down the pros and cons for me to understand and gave me the best assurance that I will be in his good hands. After the surgery, he will check-in on me and gives me the 'thumbs up' that the surgery is going well and as planned. Then, on my doctor visit after my surgery Dr Chuah will highlight to me the areas that I need to take note of giving me a sense of assurance. Visited Dr Chuah for Ptosis. He was very detail in his analysis and attended to it very quickly. He is very honest in his diagnosis. Saw a lot of youtube videos to both the surgery and recovery. Feel that I recovered a lot faster compared to what I saw on youtube Swell went down very quickly and my recovery is good. Surgery is not very noticeable. Glad that i did not have to wait too long in the waiting room seeing that there is always other patients. Chat with him (through the staff) and get response pretty quickly.
