About Skai Chan Photography
Skai Chan Photography is an events photography and videography provider based in Singapore, operating islandwide and verified by KakiList. The studio holds a 5/5 rating across 96 Google reviews, a robust sample that reflects consistent client satisfaction. Packages are mid-range in pricing, suitable for couples and families seeking professional coverage without the premium-tier outlay of larger production houses.
Enquiries typically begin with a message via WhatsApp, phone, or the contact form, sharing the event date, venue, and a brief on the occasion — whether a wedding solemnisation, ROM ceremony, pre-wedding shoot, birthday celebration, or family portrait session. From there, a package consultation covers the hours of coverage required, the number of edited images or video deliverables expected, the turnaround timeline, and any specific shots or sequences that matter to the client. For weddings, it is worth discussing dialect-group customs or multi-location logistics — gatecrash at one address, tea ceremony at another, and banquet in the evening each carry different coverage demands. A deposit of typically 30–50% is paid on signing to secure the date, with the balance due one to two weeks before the event.
To take the next step, send a WhatsApp message or fill in the enquiry form with your event date and a short brief — confirm availability early, as popular Saturdays in March, April, October, and November book out months in advance.
Lock in the date with a written contract and deposit, confirm the public liability insurance and any HDB / condo / hotel venue paperwork, and put the deliverables, balance schedule, and rescheduling policy in writing.
Two weeks ago, I was looking for a professional photographer and now, two weeks later, I'm incredibly glad that I chose Skai as my photographer. His website is well curated and it explains all of his services clearly. He was also very helpful through text and clarified anything I was unsure on. On the day of the shoot itself, he was a great help in suggesting poses and angles. He was also very receptive to my own ideas and suggestions and did his best to implement them. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience working with Skai and enjoyed the conversations we had over the 3 to 4 hours the shoot lasted. Highly recommend his services to anyone looking for a photographer.
Had an enjoyable experience doing the photoshoot with Skai! Really appreciate his effort to show up early to scout for good spots for the shoot, and he was also great at suggesting possible poses I could try for different themes. The whole shoot was really seamless with Skai bringing his years of experience doing shoots to capture shots from the best possible angles. Post-shoot editing also highlighted his ability to bring out the best in the raw photos, and was pleasantly surprised by the faster than expected delivery time!
It was fun working with Skai! He was very friendly, quick, had a sharp eye for detail and knew how to make the most of each location during our photography session. He was also patient enough to give constructive comments on my outfits before the session and decided on those which suited me the most. The actual shoot felt very natural, relaxed and I'm thankful for this whole experience. Highly recommend Skai if you're looking to take some natural, great-looking shots or simply to experience something different from your mundane life activities. Afterall, life is short, why not capture moments of it in the best light by one of the most popular photographers in Singapore? 走过路过别错过oh 😁
If you need someone to shoot your product, I’d definitely recommend Skai. He’s great to work with. Professional, passionate, and really puts in the effort. You can count on him to showcase your product or style in the best way.
Skai is my helpful photographer for my beach and indoor event. He is helpful and experienced during the events. He is generous and can be particular about the outcome of the photo shoots. Appreciate the fun times, and thanks for being a part of my important moments. =)

Skai Chan Photography uses a package pricing model, which is standard for photography and videography in Singapore. Market norms for events coverage: wedding full-day photography runs S$2,500–6,000+, full-day videography S$3,000–8,000+, and shorter portrait or solemnisation sessions typically fall in the S$500–2,000 range depending on hours and deliverables. The studio's mid-range price display ($$) places it broadly in the S$1,500–4,000 band for most event packages, though exact figures depend on scope. When reviewing any quote, confirm: deposit amount (typically 30–50% on signing), balance due date, total hours of coverage, number of edited photos or video cuts included, turnaround time for delivery, and whether a travel charge applies for non-central venues. GST should be itemised separately if applicable. See the full Photography & Videography cost guide for Singapore →
For weddings, 6–12 months ahead is the standard recommendation — peak Saturdays in March, April, October, and November fill earliest, and a photographer who suits your style may have only one or two slots open per weekend. Booking later than six months out is possible but carries real availability risk for popular dates. For birthday parties, baby full-month or 100-day sessions, and family portraits, 6–12 weeks of lead time is usually sufficient, though school holiday weekends book faster. Confirm whether the date is firmly held by the deposit — verbal holds are rarely honoured if another client pays first. If your event includes an outdoor component, ask about the wet-weather contingency plan at the time of booking.
Singapore photography industry standard is a 30–50% deposit on signing, paid to secure the date and compensate the photographer for turning down other bookings. The deposit typically covers the date hold and any pre-event consultation or planning time. The balance is usually due one to two weeks before the event. Deposits are generally non-refundable on cancellation but may be transferable to a rescheduled date — confirm this in writing before signing. Ask specifically about the rescheduling policy if a public-health restriction, venue closure, or unforeseen circumstance forces a change, and whether public liability insurance is held, which some HDB void deck or condo function room venues require from vendors. Put deliverables, turnaround timelines, and all payment terms in a written contract before the deposit is transferred.
