About Slap Dance Studio
Slap Dance Studio is a dance school operating islandwide from its base at 144 Robinson Road, Singapore 068908, with reception at level 10. It holds KakiList verification and is registered with ACRA. The studio carries a 4.9-out-of-5 rating across 60 Google reviews — a moderate sample that suggests consistent quality, though prospective students are encouraged to form their own judgement through direct experience.
Enquiring families and adults typically begin by asking about level and syllabus fit — whether the studio teaches the style, grade, or performance standard that matches the student's current ability and goals. It is worth clarifying whether classes run in groups or on a one-to-one basis, what the term commitment looks like, and how the studio handles students who join mid-term. The Robinson Road address spans multiple floors (levels 10, 11, and 13), so confirming which level your class is held on before the first visit will save time.
The most straightforward next step is to reach out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current class availability, confirm which style and level is the right fit, and arrange a trial class before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
I love the dance choreos and workshops taught at SLAP Dance studio! Their caring & professional instructors make the entire learning experience super enjoyable. The studios are very spacious with poles being evenly spaced out. They are also very responsive to students' feedback and active on social media platforms which help to engage the students :) The year-end recital was also very well-organised with a very stunning showcase by the instructors too 😍❤️
I LOVE Slap dance studio! Started my first pole class at the beginning of 2020, and I've been hooked since. One of the main draws is that the instructors are so warm, helpful and so much fun. It feels like a big happy family. I look forward to my classes so much. The studio and management are very accommodating and always do their best to optimise our pole dancing experiences 😊
I’ve been coming to Slap since Dec 2018. The studios are beautiful and very clean, with a professional and friendly staff. I have access to the best instructors in the business out of Singapore. They are always super encouraging and the classes are always upbeat and fun. Still remember my intro class back then: the teacher was clear, concise, (also hilarious, if it helps) and I had plenty of time to try out the moves and practice! It was my best Pole trial experience ever in Singapore. Then I got to try many different class types in 14 months: technical pole tricks, pole routine, stretch, lyrical / vertical ballet, chair dance, exotic dance in heels or dance cardio workout to burn calories! Slap's a positive, welcoming space where I continue to grow both in body and mind. My happy place, my second home.
Started my pole journey this year April and have been hooked. First off the studio is gorgeous with high ceilings and warm lights. It’s also very spacious. Just gives you the feel that you are a star. And I really love the classes and instructors. I have been taught by Sabril, Charmaine, Vanessa, Cherilyn, Crystal and Shevonne. They are all very supportive and create a really nice environment for beginners. Also shout out to Jasmine who threw in free classes to see how well we have advanced. I really enjoy pole and this studio is the reason why. So excited to continue this journey.
Started off my first ever pole journey and my journey in sports here at Slap studio and never looked back ever since. I enjoyed every moment of my classes, workshops, love love love the instructors - Vanessa, Crystal, Joanne, Asa, Natasha, Charmaine & Rebecca (they are super funny, hardworking, encouraging and goes the extra mile just for you!) and definitely the ambience/space of the studio. Special thanks to the Mother of Slap, Ms Jasmine for always being there for us and hear us out. She's down to earth, very humble, witty and quick in her response. Very efficient too! I think, without them and their never ending support and genuine love, I would not be where I am today and still loving pole as much as I did in day 1. To many more milestones ahead! ❤️

Slap Dance Studio displays a mid-range price indicator, though specific per-session, monthly package, and term fee figures are not publicly listed. In Singapore, dance classes typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session for group classes, with one-to-one sessions priced higher. Many studios offer bundled term packages that work out cheaper per class than paying individually. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available and at what cost, whether materials or costume fees apply separately, and whether sibling or multi-class discounts are offered. Confirming what is included in the stated fee before committing to a term avoids surprises. See the full Dance Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many dance studios in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first term's cost. A trial is a practical way to assess whether the teaching style suits the student, whether the class level is appropriate, and whether the studio environment feels right. When attending a trial, pay attention to how the instructor gives corrections, how engaged the other students are, and whether the pace matches the student's current ability. For younger children, observe whether the teacher holds their attention and builds confidence rather than simply drilling technique. Contact Slap Dance Studio directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to confirm whether a trial class is available and what it costs.
Instructor credentials are not listed in the publicly available information for Slap Dance Studio. In the Singapore dance school context, relevant signals include professional performance experience, formal dance training or examination board qualifications (such as RAD, ISTD, or BATD for ballet and ballroom), and years of teaching experience with students at the relevant level. For styles outside the classical syllabus — such as contemporary, hip-hop, or jazz — competition experience, choreography credits, and mentorship lineage are common credibility markers, though there is no single governing body. It is worth asking the studio directly about the lead instructor's background and whether classes align with any recognised examination syllabus, particularly if the student intends to sit graded examinations.
