First impressions are so important, and being greeted by a warm and happy front of house staff set the tone for a wonderful day. I would recommend getting there early to relax in the jacuzzi or around the private spa pool's. They also have some nice quiet areas if you want to relax and read. The masseuse was fantastic. I opted for a deep tissue, and had a choice of 3 oils. They mentioned about other packages for next time, but I was only a gentle sell.... Not the hardcore sales pitch I have had at others. They were incredibly friendly and diligent, asking if there were any issues or specific problems. Certainly one of the better massages I've had in Singapore. Price was very reasonable for a 5* hotel service, and although the facilities are perhaps a touch old, the service more than made up for it. They also had available a large number of environmentally friend products and toileteries. In my experience, firms that take the time and effort to look at the quality of every product, tend to deliver the best experience. Looking forward to my next visit.

Celebrated my husband’s birthday by booking the Be Spoilt package (after GST $530) for two. It includes lunch wraps and all day access to their facilities. To be honest, the facilities were nothing to scream about. The outdoor pools were not heated so they were really cold, and the floor was very grimy. The women’s steam room was also not functioning. However, the massages were really great. The masseurs were professional and friendly, and customised pressure according to our preferences.

The spa is big, staffs are friendly. The ginger water a bit too light for my liking. The bed I was assigned has an unpleasant smell. Prefer spa that have some relaxation under the massage bed hole when you face down with pleasant smell.

The Spa has pretty complete facilities but it does feel a bit run down and does not have the top notch cleanliness one would expect from a luxurious spa. The cleanliness of the outdoor facilities was a bit disappointing - there were dead leaves and branches in the pool - more debris than it should have for a spa of this standard. The temperature of the jacuzzi could also go higher. That said, staff are friendly and service is good. There is also a shuttle bus from Harbourfront bus station so it’s actually quite accessible. All in all, still a good experience and nice place to chill, but I’m in two minds about going back.

Facilities are extremely run down, the whole place is really old. Moldy air con and ceiling, floor board. Body lotion bottle dusty and also looked old. Pool looked so dirty, we did not want to go in at all. During the massage, a lot renovation works was going on so the noise was very disruptive. Was really disappointed with the entire experience. Would not recommend at all ☹️ Extremely not worth my money at all. Only upside was the massage itself was good.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Spa charge per session?

Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Spa is priced in the mid-to-upper range, as expected for a resort spa on Sentosa. Specific per-session rates are not publicly listed on this profile, so contact the spa directly for a current menu and pricing. When enquiring, confirm whether a first-consultation or assessment fee applies, whether packages offer a lower per-session rate versus booking individually, and what the no-show or late-cancellation charge is — resort spas commonly require a credit card hold at booking. See the full holistic wellness cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required for a standard spa or holistic wellness treatment. However, at the first visit you will typically complete a short intake form covering health history, current medications, and any areas of sensitivity or injury — this helps the therapist tailor the session safely. If you have a complex medical condition (recent surgery, cardiovascular issues, pregnancy, or a skin condition), it is worth calling ahead so the team can confirm which treatments are suitable. A GP referral is not mandatory but can be useful if you intend to claim the cost through a health insurance plan that covers complementary therapies.

Is the practitioner licensed?

Singapore does not require a government-issued licence for spa therapists performing massage or holistic treatments — unlike physiotherapists (regulated by AHPC) or TCM practitioners (regulated by TCMPB). Resort spa therapists are typically trained to in-house or brand standards, which at a property such as Sofitel are generally more rigorous than those at standalone outlets. If you have specific therapeutic needs — for example, remedial massage for a musculoskeletal condition — it is worth asking whether the therapist holds a recognised qualification such as ITEC or CIDESCO, or whether the spa can refer you to an AHPC-registered physiotherapist if clinical-grade treatment is more appropriate for your situation.
