About "Soka Preschool"

Soka Preschool is a preschool and kindergarten located at Tampines Street 92, verified on KakiList and registered with ACRA. It holds a perfect 5/5 rating across 20 Google reviews, though this sample size is modest and should be treated as directional rather than conclusive. Families considering Soka Preschool should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill quickly. When you contact the school, ask about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the structure of the daily routine, and the approach to the settling-in period for new children. It is also worth confirming whether Singapore citizen children enrolled here qualify for ECDA childcare subsidies, and asking about the registration process, deposit requirements, and any uniform or insurance fees. A centre visit is strongly recommended before committing, so you can meet the lead teacher and assess the environment directly.

The most straightforward next step is to reach out to Soka Preschool via WhatsApp, phone, or their enquiry form to check current vacancy for your child's intended start month and to arrange a visit to the centre.

My daughter has been in soka for about one year and it was the best decision we have ever made. The teachers were full of love and care for the children. It was not easy for my girl to adjust to totally new environment when we newly moved to Singapore, and thanks to Soka, this process has been much smoother for her. She loves school and loves the teacher and friends. Now we have to move to a new place thus find a new preschool for her. Leaving Soka is one of the hardest thing for us. Great thank you for all the teachers! The memories in Soka will company her whole life time.❤️

Amazing school. The teachers really care of the kids and their well being. My kid loved this school after being traumatised by heavy academic load and stress from other “high - end” fancy schools. Lucky I found this school. Unlike many other schools which have become profit centres, this school’s philosophy and practices are centered around kids and giving them space to develop. Strongly recommended!

My daughter has been in Soka Preschool since she was N2. She attended another preschool prior to Soka Preschool. Switching to Soka Preschool was the best decision ever, and in my daughter's own words, "the teachers are kinder and the children are more well-behaved". The teachers are very sincere and watched over the well-being of every child, including being sensitive to my daughter's emotional well-being. When my daughter shared with me the values taught by the school, I was impressed, and inspired too. Academically, my daughter had fun learning phonics and chinese, as well as P1 preparation such as being independent, learning how to use money to buy food during school outings and handling their own trays. Would absolutely recommend this school, and enrolling my younger son in Soka Preschool as well in future.

Education is the best gift that we as parents can give our child - not material gifts Here at Soka Preschool, I genuinely feel that the teachers and principals are all committed to nurturing the students to become the best treasures for the future as confident global citizens 🌎 From news article sharing where students are empowered to stand in front of the class to discuss current affairs, social and environmental issues, to conducting experiments to learn science, and even pulling off an “independence camp” where kids go for excursions in public buses, order their own food with cash, prepare their own breakfast, the curriculum is intentional, thoughtful and meaningful. Giving the child an appreciation of what lies beyond our shores (language and cultural diversities) is a first step to becoming ready for the world and Soka Preschool is intentional about providing this awareness I am always impressed by my child’s sharing of what she learnt in school - for example, she is able to tell me about solar system / planets in mandarin, share about how the respiratory system works, how to say “hello” in various languages and knows what the seven continents are. It’s not about regurgitating information that impresses me, but the fact that she was excited and able to share, I think this shows that she genuinely enjoyed and understood what she learnt. Thank you Soka Preschool ❤️❤️❤️

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Soka Preschool" charge per month?

Soka Preschool is listed at the mid-range ($$) price tier, but a precise monthly fee has not been published in this listing. When you enquire, ask for the full breakdown: the monthly programme fee, a one-off registration fee, and a deposit (typically equivalent to two months' fees at many centres). Also confirm whether uniforms and personal accident insurance are included or billed separately. Childcare and kindergarten fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the figure quoted should be the amount you pay. Costs can vary depending on the child's age group and the number of hours enrolled. What subsidies can I claim at "Soka Preschool"?

Singapore citizen children enrolled in a licensed childcare centre may qualify for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours per month may additionally claim the Working Mother's Child Relief-linked subsidy. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy (income-tested) can bring combined support up to around S$710 per month when stacked with the Working Mother Subsidy. Kindergarten-level enrolment may be eligible under KiFAS. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies at lower rates. Subsidy quantum is reviewed periodically, so always check directly with ECDA at ecda.gov.sg for the most current figures before making financial plans.

Is there a waitlist at "Soka Preschool"?

Availability has not been confirmed in this listing, so it is important to contact Soka Preschool directly for current vacancy. As a general guide, popular preschools and kindergartens in Singapore — especially those in established estates like Tampines — can receive enquiries 3 to 12 months ahead of the intended start date. Infant care places in particular tend to fill earliest. January is the peak intake month for most centres, so families targeting a new-year start should begin enquiring in the preceding quarter. To secure a place once offered, you will typically be asked to pay a registration fee and deposit. Contacting the school early by WhatsApp, phone, or their online form gives you the best chance of being placed on a priority list.
