About Spark Chinese
Spark Chinese is a Chinese language enrichment provider listed on KakiList as serving families islandwide. Families considering Spark Chinese would typically begin by enquiring about the appropriate level and syllabus fit for their child — whether that is MOE Primary or Secondary Chinese, Higher Chinese, or a conversational enrichment track. It is worth asking whether classes are conducted in small groups or one-to-one, and whether lessons are held at the Marina View centre at Asia Square Tower 2 or are available online. Most enrichment providers offer a trial class so parents and children can assess whether the pace, teaching style, and content are a good fit before committing to a term. Clarifying term length, any materials fees, and the make-up class policy upfront will help avoid surprises.
To take the next step, contact Spark Chinese via phone or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's level and to book a trial class.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Spark Math is a blast! My kid loves the interactive online classes with animated games – learning math has never been this fun! The teachers are patient and make everything crystal clear. Plus, earning reward points for being attentive is a genius motivator. We also like the progress reports after class. Total bonus! Perfect for kids aged 5 to 10. Highly recommend!
We were lucky to have won a month of Spark Maths program during "School's out" promotion. It came at a good time as I was planning to let my child "C" try out some Maths enrichment since C will be starting P3 in 2024. Thus, I was very happy to know that Spark Maths uses an interactive online platform with live teaching by teachers (locally and overseas). C takes initiative to go through the preview lessons before classes start and will remind me of the need to complete her homework which was being assigned and can be completed online as well. C can playback the lessons again if there are certain areas that need to be revisited. There are even extra maths exercises for C to attempt during her free time. During the lessons, there are maths related games which C always enjoyed. The older and younger siblings were always eager to "join in" and even tried to play the games with C due to the animations which makes it very engaging for all kids especially the younger ones. Teacher Loren is very patient in explaining new maths concepts to C and asked C questions to guide C understands the concepts. She is also able to hold C attention even though there were lots of activities in house during lessons time. The child will be awarded stars for each correctly answered question. Spark Maths comes with a Student App and a Parent App. For the Parent App, there is a class overview where I can see what C learnt during that week and if C completed her assigned homework. After trying 3 weeks of Spark Maths, I liked that classes are kept really small and C was able to hold her attention for 1.5 hours and C is always eager for her lessons to start. C also likes the interactive platform as C loves using electronic devices (which child doesn't!) to do work. Spark Maths has enabled me to see how online teaching can be so fun and engaging yet effective. The lessons were taught in a scaffolding manner so the child will not be too overwhelmed. This also allows the child to grasp core knowledge/concepts at a comfortable pace.
Vispark is an immersive and interactive learning online Math class which gives you experience through fun and engaging animated game-based courseware in the comfort of your home. We had just tried the trial class last week and my boy love it. It's fun through out the class. Teacher is very paitence and explain very well. They will also get reward points when they are attentive or answer the questions correctly. It's very motivating for young kids. The day before we try out the trial class, my boy had done a test paper to see his standard. We also get the report for the test. Their Math classes are suitable for children from age 5 to 10 years old. Highly recommend their class. 😊👍
My girl been showing interest on Math but I have zero knowledge on teaching her. Decided to go for Spark Math trial class. She really the whole trial experience. I like the convenience of learning from home.
Our little one has been with Vispark (Advanced Math) since Dec 2022 and we have seen tremendous improvements in her in various perspective, not just academically, through Vispark’s interactive and engaging content. Wei Jen learned to interact comfortably with her instructor, Teacher Divya, who is able to conduct the lesson effectively and is very patient with the children in her class. Wei Jen thoroughly enjoyed being in Teacher Divya’s class and that is what mattered most to us! In addition, she has grown to be very confident in presenting her solution through the Little Teacher presentation, which is a part of the program’s after-class assingments.

Chinese enrichment classes in Singapore typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session for group classes, with one-to-one tuition sitting higher. Many providers bundle sessions into monthly packages or term fees, which can work out more economical than paying per session. It is worth asking about any additional materials fees, whether a deposit is required, and whether sibling or multi-subject discounts apply. A trial class fee may differ from the standard rate. Many Chinese enrichment providers offer a trial class — sometimes at a reduced fee, sometimes at the standard session rate — before asking families to sign up for a full term. This is the best way to assess whether the level is appropriate, whether the child is engaged, and whether the teaching style suits your child's learning needs. During or after the trial, observe whether the lesson pace matches your child's current proficiency, how the tutor handles errors, and whether the class size allows for sufficient individual attention. Contact Spark Chinese directly to confirm their trial class policy and current availability.
Credential information for Spark Chinese tutors is not published on this listing. For Chinese language enrichment, relevant credentials to ask about include a degree in Chinese Language or Education, NIE teaching certification, and years of experience teaching the MOE Chinese syllabus at the relevant level (Primary, Secondary, or Junior College). If your child is sitting PSLE, O-Level, or A-Level Chinese, it is particularly useful to confirm that the tutor is familiar with the current MOE examination format and marking criteria. Contact Spark Chinese directly to ask about the qualifications and experience of the teacher assigned to your child's class.
