About St. Andrew's Autism School

About St. Andrew's Autism School

St. Andrew's Autism School is a special needs school serving families across Singapore, listed on KakiList as a verified provider. It holds a 4.5-star rating across 22 Google reviews — a moderate sample that offers a directional sense of parent experience. The school operates on a monthly recurring fee basis, priced at the mid-range tier ($$); contact the school directly for current fee schedules as published rates may vary by programme and citizenship status.

Families typically begin by confirming whether the school's programme is suited to their child's specific profile — most commonly an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis, though the school may serve children with related developmental conditions. A diagnostic report from a developmental paediatrician, psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service is the standard entry requirement for placement in any SPED setting. Parents are encouraged to arrange an observation visit or intake assessment so the school can evaluate fit with the child's communication, sensory, and learning needs. St. Andrew's Autism School integrates therapy support — typically speech and language therapy and occupational therapy — within its school day, alongside a low teacher-to-student ratio designed for structured learning. When engaging the school, it is worth discussing transition pathways, whether toward supported mainstream reintegration, vocational training, or continued SPED provision.

To take the next step, contact St. Andrew's Autism School directly by phone or via their enquiry form to request an intake assessment appointment and to confirm current enrolment availability. Listing data is incomplete — contact St. Andrew's Autism School directly to confirm details.

A school for kids with autism. It has good facilities and excellent staff. There is also a chapel attached which holds services for the Anglican community and people with family who may have an autism spectrum disorder. I find this to be a place where you made welcome and truly engaged with people.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does St. Andrew's Autism School charge per month?

Fees at special needs schools in Singapore vary considerably depending on the type of school and a family's citizenship status. MOE-gazetted SPED schools charge Singapore Citizens approximately S$150 per month after government subsidy, while Permanent Residents and international families pay higher tiered rates. EIPIC (Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children) centres are income-tested and typically range from S$150 to S$800 per month. Private special needs schools generally run from S$1,500 to S$4,000 or more per month. St. Andrew's Autism School is listed at the mid-range pricing tier ($$), but exact figures are not published on this listing. Parents should contact the school directly to obtain the current fee schedule for their child's programme and citizenship category. Likely additional costs include transport shuttle fees, supplementary therapy sessions, school uniform and materials, and any diagnostic assessment fees at partner clinics. Fees at accredited special education providers are generally GST-exempt. See the full special needs school cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies and funding can I claim at St. Andrew's Autism School?

For Singapore Citizens enrolled in MOE-gazetted SPED schools, school fees are already heavily subsidised, resulting in the flat rate of approximately S$150 per month. Permanent Residents and foreigners pay higher rates without the same subsidy access. For children in EIPIC or early intervention programmes, ECDA administers an Additional Subsidy that is income-tested and can substantially reduce out-of-pocket fees — families should speak with the school's appointed social worker to apply. NCSS-administered means-tested financial assistance may also be available through the provider. SG Enable offers targeted support including the Assistive Technology Fund and transition-to-employment programmes for eligible young adults with disabilities. Where therapy sessions are delivered at MOH-approved clinics linked to the school, MediSave may be used to offset a portion of those costs. Note that the Basic Childcare Subsidy and Working Mother Subsidy apply to mainstream childcare settings and do not extend to SPED or special needs school placements. Funding quantum and eligibility criteria are reviewed periodically — parents should confirm current figures directly with MOE's Special Education Branch and SG Enable.

How do I secure a place at St. Andrew's Autism School?

The first requirement for any SPED or special needs school placement is a formal diagnostic report from a developmental paediatrician, psychologist, or MOE Psychological Service. Without this documentation, the school cannot assess or place a child — obtaining the report should be the immediate priority for families who have not yet done so. Waiting lists at established autism schools in Singapore can extend from several months to over a year. For MOE-gazetted SPED schools, placement is coordinated through the MOE Special Education Branch rather than by applying to individual schools directly. For private special needs schools such as those operating under charity or independent frameworks, families apply directly to the school. Expect an intake assessment or observation session before any offer of placement, as schools need to confirm that their programme structure, therapy integration, and staffing model are a genuine fit for the child's needs and profile. Parents are strongly advised to begin the referral and application process as early as possible, and to maintain a second-choice option while awaiting confirmation from their preferred school.
