Parents and students enquiring about lessons should ask about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme caters to absolute beginners, examination-track students (ABRSM, Trinity, or local syllabi), or recreational learners. It is worth clarifying whether tuition is available in a group format or as one-to-one lessons, and whether classes are conducted in-person at the Tampines centre or offered online. Prospective students should also confirm term commitment requirements and whether a trial class is available before signing up for a full package or term.
To take the next step, reach out to The Music Scientist via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form listed on the KakiList directory to ask about current availability, lesson formats, and fees before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Today our Infant to Pre-Nursery children went to The Music Scientist for their Learning Journey. The programme was conducted by Teacher Hym and Teacher Sze, and it was a wonderful experience for our students. Both teachers were very engaging, energetic, and interacted very well with the children. The activities were well-planned and suitable for different age groups. Even our younger infants were able to enjoy the session as they moved around, explored the music, and participated happily in the activities. It was a fun and meaningful learning journey where the children could experience music through movement and play. Thank you to the team for making the session enjoyable and memorable for our little ones.

The activities were age-appropriate, fun, and meaningful, allowing the children to explore sounds and movements confidently. The children were excited and actively participated throughout the lesson. It was wonderful to see them enjoying while learning at the same time. Teacher Yisze was patient, encouraging, and created a positive learning environment. Thank you for such a joyful and enriching musical experience. We look forward to more sessions in the future.

We had a wonderful experience with the Music & Movement programme. It was very suitable for younger children, and they thoroughly enjoyed moving around, swaying to the music, and playing with the instruments. Teacher Liyana was warm, energetic, and highly engaging. She connected naturally with the children, encouraged participation, and created a joyful, supportive environment where everyone felt comfortable to explore and express themselves.

The Music Scientist displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), but specific per-session rates, monthly packages, or term fees are not publicly listed. Music lesson pricing in Singapore typically varies based on the instrument, the student's grade level, whether the lesson is one-to-one or group-based, and the tutor's qualifications. A trial class fee may differ from the standard session rate, and materials such as workbooks or sheet music may be charged separately. Sibling discounts or multi-lesson package rates are worth asking about when you enquire. Contact The Music Scientist directly via WhatsApp or phone to request a current fee schedule before committing. See the full Music Schools cost guide for Singapore →
A trial class is a reasonable expectation at most music schools in Singapore and is worth requesting before signing up for a full term or package. During a trial, look out for whether the lesson pace suits the student's current level, whether the teaching style is encouraging and structured, and whether the tutor explains concepts clearly rather than simply drilling exercises. For younger children, engagement and comfort with the teacher matter as much as technical content. For examination-track students, confirm that the tutor is familiar with the relevant syllabus — ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall, or others — and has guided students through graded assessments before. Contact The Music Scientist to ask whether a trial session is available and what it costs.
Specific tutor qualifications for The Music Scientist are not listed in the available directory data. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about the tutors' formal training — for example, a diploma or degree in music performance or education, an ABRSM or Trinity teaching qualification, or prior experience teaching within the MOE music curriculum. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with the specific instrument and grade level you need are also relevant. If you are preparing a child for graded examinations, ask directly about the tutor's track record with examination students. Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
