Sherlyn is such a great mentor!!! She helped me understand more about my voice much better and tips on how to warm up, customised to my lifestyle as well as project my voice and pronounce better; and I like how they’re very simple and easy to follow. Her tips really help a lot, and I also understand better how recording studios and sound producers work. After learning more from her, the songs I’ve performed for others have been very well received. Sherlyn is more than a vocal coach - every lesson we get to exchange ideas on everything under the sun including music and catch up on what’s going on in our lives, and she also gives very good life advice👍🏻 I’m very impressed she also has a small recording studio so I can apply what I learnt from her right away! I’m very grateful to have met her, and I’m looking forward to learning more from her and her team for future projects, be it vocal or guitar or composing lessons 😊 thank you so much Sherlyn! 🫡😁

I felt welcomed and supported by the incredibly talented and dedicated staff at Singing Loft. Each instructor brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching, which creates an inspiring and nurturing learning environment. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed to cater to students of all levels, whether you’re a beginner looking to explore your vocal potential or an advanced singer aiming to refine your technique. The personalized attention and tailored feedback I received helped me to grow immensely as a hobbyist singer. I appreciated the focus on both technical skills and artistic expression, which has made me a more confident and versatile performer. The school provides a professional setting that enhances the learning experience and also performance opportunities which have been invaluable in helping students to build stage presence and gain practical experience. What truly sets Singing Loft apart is the sense of community. The camaraderie among students and the genuine interest the instructors take in our progress create a positive and motivating atmosphere. It’s clear that everyone here is committed to helping students achieve their musical goals. Singing Loft is a phenomenal place to develop our vocal skills. I have been taking classes from The Singing Loft since Jul 2023 and my overall experience is great! My vocal coach Yvonne has been immensely patient and detailed despite teaching me who had zero vocal background! Be it chasing your dream to be a professional singer, or to learn how to sing as a hobby, The Singing Loft is definitely the place to help you hone your craft!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "The Singing Loft" charge per session?

The Singing Loft has not publicly listed its per-session rates, so you will need to enquire directly to get current pricing. In the Singapore music school market, individual one-to-one lessons typically range from S$50 to S$120 per session depending on the instrument, the teacher's experience, and lesson duration. Group classes generally run lower. Some schools charge a registration or enrolment fee, and materials such as books or sheet music may be billed separately. Monthly or term-based packages often offer a modest saving over pay-per-session rates. Ask whether sibling discounts or package bundles are available. Can I try a class before committing?

Many music schools in Singapore offer a trial lesson — either at a reduced rate or as part of the enrolment process — so it is worth asking The Singing Loft directly whether this option is available and what the trial fee is. A trial class lets you assess whether the teaching style suits the learner, whether the level is appropriately pitched, and whether the student engages comfortably with the teacher. For younger children in particular, a trial is a useful way to gauge interest and temperament before committing to a full term. Bring any relevant background — prior graded examination results, instruments owned at home, or specific goals such as performance preparation — so the teacher can tailor the session accordingly.

What are the tutors' credentials at "The Singing Loft"?

Credential information for The Singing Loft's instructors is not publicly available in the current listing. When enquiring, it is reasonable to ask about each teacher's formal qualifications — for example, a music degree, diploma from a conservatoire, or graded examination teaching certification from bodies such as ABRSM, Trinity College London, or the Associated Board. Years of teaching experience and familiarity with specific syllabi are also worth confirming. If your child is working towards formal graded examinations or music O-Level and A-Level subjects, ask specifically whether the instructor has experience preparing students for those assessments. Contact The Singing Loft directly to request this information before committing to a term.
