Families typically begin by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to discuss their child's level, specific needs, and how the programme aligns with the relevant syllabus. It is worth clarifying whether sessions are conducted one-to-one or in small groups, whether classes are held at the Clemenceau Avenue centre or delivered online, and what the term commitment looks like. Asking about a trial class before signing up for a full term is a sensible step, as it allows you to gauge the teaching style and whether the pace and approach suit your child.
To get started, reach out to The Speech Practice directly via WhatsApp or phone to ask about current availability, session formats, and scheduling options that fit your child's needs.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Dr. Lisa is a very patient and well informed speech therapist. I was able to achieve all my goals with voice feminization training with her over a period of 6 months. She goes above and beyond with after preparing documents for practice in between sessions. She's quick to respond after class for questions. Lessons also felt well accommodated for my progress and goals. She's able to explain complicated exercises and concepts in ways I can practice and understand in person as well as give good immediate feedback. I'm looking forward to revisiting her for my refresher classes every few months.
Lisa has been an outstanding speech therapist. Throughout her CELF (Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals) assessment, Lisa showed dedication and patience. She explained each step in clear, child-friendly terms, kept the pacing comfortable, and created a calm, encouraging environment so Charlotte felt safe and confident. Lisa has worked closely with the parent in mapping out strategic accomodations and flexibility during this period ,understanding her strengths and the areas to support at home and in school. We are truly grateful for her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to her progress. Highly recommended.
I can’t thank The Speech Practice enough for helping my child with his articulation. Before we started, he was really struggling to be understood, and it was heartbreaking to see him frustrated. But Lisa turned things around by making each session fun and engaging. Now, he’s excited for every visit, and we’ve seen such an incredible improvement. We couldn’t be happier! 😊
I highly recommend Dr. Lisa and her team for any parents looking for speech therapy for their child. Our pediatrician suggested speech therapy when our son was just over two years old, and still nonverbal. Dr Lisa patiently helped my son improve his speaking skills, especially his articulation. As new parents, we were quite lost but she patiently answered all of our questions, which helped eased our worries. She was also kind enough to connect us with other parents whose child had CAS and we are so grateful. However, saturdays are quite full, so it would be great if they could offer more time slots on that day. Overall, we’re really happy with the progress he’s made! "
Yvonne is a great speech therapist who has worked with my non-verbal son on his oro-motor functions for more than two years. He was barely five years old when we started and very resistant to doing exercises, but she was always able to coax him into doing more reps and more challenging versions. We saw his ability to control his muscles improve significantly, and he can now eat some types of foods. She was also a big help in getting him to use his iPad to communicate. Thank you Yvonne we are always grateful!

The Speech Practice displays a mid-range price point ($$), though specific per-session fees are not publicly listed and will need to be confirmed directly with the provider. In the Singapore enrichment market, speech-related programmes typically range from S$60 to S$200 per session depending on whether the format is one-to-one or group, and the duration of each session. When enquiring, ask about monthly package rates versus pay-per-session options, any materials fees, and whether a trial class carries a separate charge. Sibling discounts and term-bundle pricing are common in this category and worth asking about. See the full enrichment classes cost guide for Singapore →
Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or at the full session rate, before asking families to commit to a term. It is worth confirming directly with The Speech Practice whether this option is available and what the trial entails. A trial class gives you a chance to assess whether the level is appropriate for your child, whether the teaching style holds your child's attention, and whether the group size feels comfortable. Pay attention to how the educator responds to your child's pace and confidence, as these are often better indicators of fit than credentials alone. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe a session or arrange a brief introductory conversation with the educator before signing up.
Credential details for the educators at The Speech Practice are not publicly listed on this directory. For a speech-focused enrichment programme, relevant backgrounds typically include degrees in linguistics, communication, education, or speech pathology, as well as teaching experience aligned to the Singapore MOE syllabus or other relevant frameworks. When you make contact, it is reasonable to ask about the lead educator's qualifications, years of experience, and how the programme's content aligns with the syllabus your child is following — whether that is the local MOE curriculum, IGCSE, or another track. Confirming credentials directly before committing to a term is a sensible step.
