Families considering The Word Learning Centre should begin by enquiring about available slots for their intended start month, as places — particularly for younger age groups — can fill quickly. When you contact the centre, it is worth asking about the infant-to-caregiver ratio, the daily routine and curriculum approach, and the settling-in period policy to understand how the centre supports children transitioning into the environment. My little one looked forward to going to school everyday and I’m so glad that her preschool days were at TWLC. The teachers were fun to be with and yet firm at the same time when it comes to educating the students. That is telling from how the students remain bubbly and yet courteous and respectful to teachers and friends. I’m a firm believer that kids should have a good mix of fun and learning. My little girl has grown to be a little independent learner who does her school work diligently on her own. When the learning is completed (usually at the end of the term), there will be activities big and small (even Halloween party or in-house childrens’ party) organised for the kids and my girl always looked forward to them. You can talk to the teachers personally to see what they can do for you and your kids.
A nurturing, thoughtful and sweet learning environment. All the teachers are very professional and caring. My child is well prepared by the teachers for his P1. Excellent learning centre for the little ones ! Thank you TWLC 🥰
A very good school. 100% recommended! Teachers are kind and work with passion. Our daughter was enrolled at two other schools before and we saw not much development. After she went to TWLC, we noticed very significant progress. We also decided to cease her reading and writing tuition at other center as we found classes in TWLC has covered it so very well. The school also emphasizes attitude development aspect as well.
TWLC Teachers have the right balance of firmess and patience towards the kids. Their teaching methods are effective and explanations are clear. My son has benefited from their preschool and excel in Primary. He takes TWLC as his second home.
My daughter has absolutely loved her time at TWLC. She enjoyed every moment, from the fun activities to the caring teachers who made learning so enjoyable. She was always excited to go to school and often talked about how much she loved being there. Now that it’s time to move on, she’s truly sad to leave. We’re so grateful for the wonderful memories and the strong foundation TWLC has given her. Thank you for everything!

The Word Learning Centre is priced at the mid-range ($$) tier for preschools and kindergartens in Singapore, though a specific monthly fee figure is not published in this listing. When you enquire, ask for a full fee breakdown that includes any one-off registration fee, the deposit amount (typically equivalent to one to two months of fees), uniform costs, and any insurance or miscellaneous levies charged at enrolment. Childcare and kindergarten fees in Singapore are GST-exempt, so the monthly figure quoted should be your all-in cost from the centre's side. Contact the centre directly by phone or via the enquiry form to obtain a current fee schedule. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →
Singapore citizen children enrolled at ECDA-licensed childcare centres may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy (up to S$600 per month for infant care, or up to S$300 per month for childcare), and the Additional Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy if the mother works at least 56 hours per month. For lower-income households, the Additional Subsidy can bring combined support up to approximately S$710 per month, subject to household income testing. For kindergartens specifically, the KidSTART and KiFAS schemes may apply depending on eligibility. Permanent Resident children receive partial subsidies at lower quantum. Note that subsidy amounts are reviewed periodically by the government — always verify the current figures directly with ECDA at www.ecda.gov.sg before making financial plans based on subsidy estimates.
Availability at preschools and kindergartens in Singapore varies, but it is advisable to enquire at least three to six months before your intended start date. Infant care places in particular can be in high demand and may be committed six to twelve months in advance at popular centres. January is the primary intake month for most preschools, so families targeting that cohort should make contact the preceding year. To secure a place once offered, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a deposit. Contact The Word Learning Centre directly by phone or via the enquiry form to check current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
