About Tinkertanker
Tinkertanker is a Singapore-based enrichment provider operating islandwide, verified by KakiList and registered with ACRA. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 across 23 reviews — a small sample, so treat this as directional rather than conclusive. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range ($$) tier, though specific session or package fees are not published and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
Parents and students enquiring about Tinkertanker's enrichment classes should start by asking about the syllabus fit for their child's current level and learning objectives. It is worth clarifying whether classes are offered in group or one-to-one format, what the term commitment looks like, and whether sessions are conducted at the Jalan Pemimpin centre or available online. Asking about a trial class before committing to a full term is a sensible first step, as it allows you to assess teaching style, class pacing, and whether the level is appropriate for your child.
To get started, reach out to Tinkertanker via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about current class availability, your child's year level and syllabus, and trial class options before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Love this place! Super beginner friendly, and the mentors here always do their best to help participants with any sort of technical issues. Shout out to Mr Akmal, best mentor ever!
Excellent technical support, guidance and advice for novice coders and experienced coders on Robotics. Team members go extra mile to show and assemble kits for those customers who are always fumble with nuts, screws and electronics. Keep it up, Tinkercademy Team!
Item ( photo ID) arrived only after a complaint was registered. Seller does not respond to e-mails. This is a complaint noted by other buyers as well. The results is a wait of almost 1 month, since the seller ignores all e-communications. Not worth the hassle. There are better online services available.

Tinkertanker does not publish a fixed per-session rate publicly, so you will need to enquire directly for current pricing. Enrichment providers in Singapore typically charge on a per-session basis, a monthly package, or a per-term fee depending on the programme format. Trial class fees, where offered, are sometimes priced separately from regular sessions. It is worth asking whether materials fees apply, and whether sibling discounts or multi-class package rates are available. Enrichment class fees in Singapore for coding and STEM-type programmes generally sit in the S$40–80 per session range for group classes, with one-to-one tuition commanding higher rates. Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or at the standard session rate, before asking families to commit to a full term. It is worth asking Tinkertanker directly whether a trial is available for the specific programme you are interested in. During a trial class, pay attention to how the instructor engages with the students, whether the difficulty level suits your child, and whether the class format — group size, pacing, and structure — feels like a good fit. A trial is also a useful opportunity to observe classroom management and how instructors handle students who need additional support. Contact Tinkertanker via WhatsApp or phone to ask about trial availability before signing up for a term commitment.
Credential information for Tinkertanker's instructors is not publicly listed, so it is advisable to ask directly when enquiring. For enrichment classes in coding, technology, or STEM, relevant backgrounds typically include degrees in computer science, engineering, or education, as well as experience working with the age groups taught. It is also worth asking whether instructors are familiar with the MOE syllabus if the programme is intended to complement school learning, or whether the curriculum is independently developed. Industry experience and teaching tenure at the provider are useful indicators of quality where formal qualifications are not the primary signal. Raise these questions directly with Tinkertanker before committing to a term.
