Families looking to enrol should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — confirming whether the programme aligns with the child's current schooling stage and learning objectives. It is worth asking whether classes are offered in a group or one-to-one format, and whether a trial class is available before committing to a full term. You should also clarify the term commitment expected, the class schedule, and whether sessions take place in-person at the Orchard Road location or are offered online. Materials fees and any sibling or package discounts are worth confirming at enquiry stage.
To take the next step, reach out to TLR Explorer Kid via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to ask about available slots for your child's level and to arrange a trial class before committing to a term.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
We recently held our corporate event at Pirateland, and it was such a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish! The team was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The children had a blast with the wide variety of play areas and activities — there was more than enough to keep them happily entertained. It was a nice add on to have a VR games section, which was a big hit with the older boys — they couldn’t get enough of it! Thank you to the wonderful staff for helping us host such a memorable day! 🥳
Pirate Land is quite a good place for children younger than 5 years old. It's not big so it's easier to manage the lil ones. Toys are slightly dated and damaged... but it's tolerable. Overall a nice experience.
This place is pretty run down. It’s not a very pleasant sight. Even though this plc was empty on a sat night, we didnt stay long.
May have been a nice place a few year ago, but now it’s run down, most activities are broken, and it’s overpriced. Staff are very minimal effort and place still has Christmas decorations up in May. Feels like it’s being held togetherness with duck tape and is just a bunch of random toys. Most of the play area is divided into 2 heights (upstairs and ground level), both of which are very uncomfortable for caregivers to be in and requires you to ‘crawl’ around with your kids. I didn’t feel my kid was very safe playing here with lights being touchable in the upstairs area and little corners for kids to be stuck in (where staff had stacked broken toys).
Ahoy, mateys! Pirate Land in Orchard is a charming old playground that gets a solid 3.5 stars from me. It's as creaky as an old pirate ship, but at least it's clean—no mysterious sticky stuff or rogue Legos here! The real treasure? The staff! They’re so polite and kind, especially the older lady at the counter who must be the pirate queen herself. She greeted us with a smile that could melt an iceberg. Extra 1.5 stars just for them! Visited on a Sunday afternoon, and it was packed tighter than a treasure chest. No cap on visitors, so if you value personal space, be warned. In summary, Pirate Land is a fun, chaotic adventure with a fantastic crew. Just brace yourself for the crowds. Arrr!

TLR Explorer Kid is priced at the moderate range ($$), but specific per-session rates, monthly packages, and term fees are not publicly listed and will need to be confirmed directly with the provider. Enrichment class pricing in Singapore typically varies by format — group classes tend to be more affordable than one-to-one sessions, and some providers charge separately for materials or assessment. It is worth asking about trial class fees (some providers charge a reduced rate, others waive the fee), whether sibling discounts apply, and what the cancellation or deferment policy is if your child misses a session. Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class so families can assess fit before signing up for a full term. It is advisable to ask TLR Explorer Kid whether a trial is available, whether it carries a fee, and what the session will cover. During a trial, observe how the instructor engages with children at your child's level, whether the pacing and content feel appropriate, and whether the teaching style suits your child's learning preferences. A single session will not be fully representative, but it does give a meaningful first impression of the environment and approach. If a trial is not offered, ask whether you can observe a live class or speak with other enrolled parents before committing to a term.
Credential details for TLR Explorer Kid's instructors are not publicly available on this listing. When enquiring, it is worth asking directly about each instructor's educational background, whether they hold relevant degrees or certifications in their subject area, and how many years of teaching experience they have. For enrichment programmes that follow or complement the Singapore MOE syllabus, it is also useful to confirm that instructors are familiar with the current curriculum. If your child is on an IB, IGCSE, or other international curriculum, check that the instructor has direct experience with that syllabus. If the provider is unable to share this information clearly, that is a meaningful signal when comparing options.
