My son and I had a wonderful experience at Tombalek. We attended two workshops on separate occasions — a toy-making workshop with Dan and a wood turning workshop with Sam — and both were fantastic. The instructors were knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly encouraging. It was such a joy learning and experiencing woodworking under their guidance. Dan was especially calm and patient with my son, giving him both clear guidance and the space to explore and learn at his own pace. It was truly heartwarming to watch. I attended the woodturning workshop myself, and although it took me a little while to get the hang of it, Sam was always encouraging and cheering me on. She shared different techniques and offered helpful tips throughout. The three hours flew by, and I had such a great time. We’ll definitely be coming back for more workshops!

We had an eyeopening experience with Nigel. I signed my 10 year old up to toughen him up, and respect the importance of safety instructions and beauty of labour. Nigel was such a great guide and craftsman. He offered enough space to persevere and build confidence, then dropped in save us when we absolutely needed help. The boy is so proud of his "Marks of Man" and knife, he wants to tell his friends about it. A highly recommended experience !

Absolutely loved our time with Sam learning how to do colored glassblowing! It was an amazing and unique family activity with our young adult daughters!
