Exceptional & professional service by Edwin & his crew. Everything was planned meticulously, while they served with utmost respect. On the wee hours when my grandma passed, Edwin made his way down within a short while and everything from there was very smooth sailing - from wake set up till departure day. For every enquiry and clarifications, Edwin & his team were very patient and provided us with clarity and made sure that we were comfortable before making any arrangements. Prices are justifiable, would recommend them for any of such occasions.
On behalf of my family, I want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Victor Wu and his team at Direct Funeral Services for their support throughout the entire funeral wake for my late father. They addressed every of our concerns and Victor even specially arranged his female crew to take care of my mom in the crematorium viewing hall in case anything happens and really appreciate warm move. I really don't know how to thank you guys.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Roy Loo for his dedication and service throughout my late grandmother’s wake. Although he was called in at the last minute to assist us, his calm, reassuring and helpful presence helped ease many of our anxieties during this difficult time. Roy was always very responsive and only a message or phone call away. At times we asked questions that might have seemed repetitive or things he had already explained earlier, but he always responded patiently and took the time to address all our concerns. He was also very respectful of our decisions, always offering options and accommodating our preferences. During his briefings and conversations with us, he would occasionally add a touch of humour, which helped lighten the atmosphere. Even in moments when we had just been crying, he somehow managed to make us smile or laugh. We are truly grateful that Roy was the funeral director in charge of my grandmother’s wake, and we deeply appreciate the care and support he provided to our family. Also adding a special mention to Arissa who assisted my family with the preparation. We reached out to her very early but due to the circumstances, the wake only took place much later. Arissa was very helpful and patient in addressing all our concerns regarding the procedures and packages. We really appreciate her great service too!

He handled everything with professionalism, care and empathy, making sure the arrangements went smoothly and that our family felt supported. We truly appreciate the dedication and kindness shown to us during this period. Thank you for helping us give my dad a respectful and meaningful send-off.

Tong Aik Undertaker uses a '$$' price indicator, suggesting mid-range positioning, but specific package prices are not publicly listed. Funeral service costs in Singapore vary widely depending on tradition (Buddhist, Taoist, Christian, free-thinker), wake duration (typically 3–5 days), casket grade, and whether additional services such as embalming, hearse, floral arrangements, paper offerings, and columbarium or burial liaising are bundled. When enquiring, ask for a written itemisation covering: (1) the base package scope, (2) casket and related materials, (3) transport and hearse, and (4) any government or third-party disbursements such as burial plot or columbarium fees. Confirm whether GST is applicable on the services quoted.
Tong Aik Undertaker is categorised under Funeral Services rather than home caregiving. The provider does not appear to offer live-in caregiver placements or hourly visit-based personal care. Its scope covers end-of-life and funeral arrangements, including wake management, body-care logistics, and post-funeral coordination. Families seeking live-in or home-visit eldercare for a loved one still living should contact a separate eldercare agency or home nursing provider. Tong Aik Undertaker would be the relevant contact once end-of-life care has transitioned to funeral planning.
No specific regulatory licences are listed for Tong Aik Undertaker on this directory. In Singapore, funeral service providers are not currently subject to a mandatory statutory licensing regime in the same manner as, for example, eldercare nursing providers. However, reputable operators typically hold public liability insurance and may have staff trained in body-care handling and religious rites for the traditions they serve. Given the absence of listed licences, families are advised to ask directly about the team's experience with their specific religious or cultural tradition, whether the provider carries public liability insurance, and what recourse is available if arrangements require amendment at short notice. Tong Aik Undertaker's 4.9-star rating across 1,705 reviews provides a substantive positive signal, and the listing is both KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered.
