When engaging a veterinary clinic, it helps to have key information ready before your first visit: your pet's size, breed, and temperament, as well as an up-to-date vaccination record. If your pet has an existing condition or is on medication, bring any previous clinical notes or test results. You can reach Vet Practice by phone or via the enquiry form on the listing — both channels are confirmed active. It is worth asking about appointment availability, whether the clinic handles both routine consultations and urgent cases, and what the standard drop-off or waiting procedure looks like.

The most direct next step is to call or submit the enquiry form to book a consultation slot, confirm what documentation to bring, and ask about pricing for your pet's specific needs before the visit.

More empathy could be exercised when speaking to furparents whose pets are very ill. Receptionist needs front of house training. Curt and transactional. Pushing extra tests and vet visit when I clearly stated that my cat is very high strung and putting her in a carrier is extremely stressful for her. She has stage 4 CKD and I do not want to aggravate her condition. Is that hard to understand? Is that not reasonable? But receptionist insists that I bring my cat in for a visit before I can purchase any renal food for my cat! I have been coming here for years, but I won’t be anymore. addendum: Surely the communication of all of this information can be conveyed in a less accusatory manner over the phone, and working with the furparents to find other solutions for pets who are easily stressed out. The reply from the clinic has NOT addressed the poor bedside manners of the receptionist. Looking at other 1 star reviews, this is a common feedback, and perhaps it is about time for the clinic to reflect on it's own practices and cold communication approaches.

Brought my dog here for vaccinations and came early by half an hour for the appt. Ended up waiting over an hour because vet was busy explaining (I could hear) to another owner how much it would cost for the pet’s treatment. I know sometimes a wait is inevitable but waiting this long in an air conditioned urine smelling waiting room is not exactly pleasant. Staff are mostly never at the reception and with only 1 vet in attendance, they are lucky this is a slow day. I am definitely not coming back here.

The most expensive clinic I have come across. Never informed at all that there would be additional consultation cost be added for their "Proheart vaccine" when called up to check on the price, and after that charged with a sky high price and the staff still gave a very rude attitude to tell me to go somewhere else if I find their price too expensive 🙄. Update : What happened here was, I was quoted $120 when I called a day b4 to chk on the vaccination price, but what turns out after the vaccination, the price we had paid was closed to $200 instead. They dont give bill on the spot but verbally told my hubby the amt, which he literally heard it wrongly as what I hv been quoted n then made the payment. Upon receiving the visa slip we got a shock and asked the staff politely why there's a huge difference, she replied unfriendly saying there's a consultation fee added, and argued that it's because I called only to ask for "Vaccination price" so her colleague has quoted me on what I have asked for, but my argument here is, if I have asked to make for an appointment, she should know we would be there for the jab and if there would be a so-called consultation fee applied, then why it's not quoted earlier? Then upon telling Dr Ang that we weren't aware of the fee that was not included in the quotation earlier, she returned saying "1st visit" required the consultation fee to be included, but this reply doesn't seem acceptable to us again, as just few months back when we brought our dog for her "Annual Vanguard Plus Vaccine" (it was also her 1st visit there for such Vaccination) there wasn't any of this fee applied by Dr Ng (see attached pic), Hence, how could you expect me to know by default this time I hv to own self add another of this additional $75 (with GST) consultation fee to the price quoted??? Moreover the quoted $120 (b4 gst) for the medicine alone is already so much higher than our previous vet (almost 50% more), hence it's totally unbelievable that price quoted at $120 is not inclusive of everything (except Gst). Then what happened next was, when we reached home that very rude staff called to tell us why we got charged for the consultation fee is because of "consultation" service rendered to us during the Vaccine visit (so different thing was told this time), but again we couldn't agree. Our dog is perfectly fit and healthy, and we were there merely for her proheart annual Vaccine, and during the whole process we also did not seek any advice from Dr Ang on any issues or concern of our dog. Only thing I can say is that, Dr Ang was actually the one who has initiated the chat by telling us we must take care of our dog teeth, and I have responded to her by telling her that my dog used to have bladder stones issue, but it's cleared now, and I hv started feeding her with homecooked foods, n bcos of that I brushed her teeth everyday, and if that is something considered as "consultation", and also considered as "concern been addressed" then I think this is not fair, and I do not want to waste anymore energy arguing about it, as it's worthless! *btw, communication needs both ways traffic, throughout the whole incident we have wanted to communicate with Dr Ang regarding our unhappiness on the entire thing that happened on the day while at the clinic (and also after when that rude lady called), we just simply got blocked by that rude front desk lady. Hence in their respond to my hubby's review by giving us number to call (as they said if we continue to have doubt) I've no choice but to wonder does it work, or we just have to face another episode of unhappiness from ur front desk again? Anyway, all I want now is to state what exactly happened here, and why we were so unhappy, so to remind ourselves not to return again, for all these unnecessary unhappiness, inconsistent charges, and the rude attitude from the staff that we hv to deal with

My wife and I brought our dog for Proheart jab. My wife had called up for pricing the day before. Over the phone, the admin lady asked for history of our visits there. My wife said it's the 1st time we were going to bring her there for Proheart jab. The lady did the weight calculation and quoted about $120. Period. After the jab, I paid via pay wave. When i looked at the receipt, i was shocked to find that we were charged $199. So i questioned the admin for the big discrepancy. She said that she wasn't the one quoting us the price over the phone, but informed me that there's a consultation charge. She said the one who quoted us only gave us the Proheart price because that's just what we asked for. We said no, whoever quoted us gave us the appointment and knew that we were coming in for the jab, and therefore should tell us the full price. I asked her why there was a consultation fee and she at first said that's because its the first time we did the Proheart jab there, and that if we go there for the jab in subsequent years, there won't be consultation charge provided we do it every year without stopping in between. I asked her why does 1st visit requires consultation charge since every jab is the same and that the doctor has to assess the suitability by checking the dog before every jab. Upon hearing that, she changed her story and said the consultation was charged because we asked the doctor to assess our dog about other matters. I said no, we went there for the jab and did not ask the doctor for any advice or treatment for any health or medical condition. The doctor had started conversation with us by asking whether we brush the dog's teeth, and then we started chatting about things like dog food, and i told the doctor that our dog was on special kibber diet because of her bladder stone incident last year. But we did not ask for any advice because the dog had received treatment and we already knew what to do. Whatever information the doctor gave was on her own accord. So how does this chit-chatting constitute a consultation visit? At that juncture, the admin started saying things like if you are not happy, i don't stop you from going to other vets. This is really rude and unprofessional. After we left the clinic, we checked past records and found that in Aug this year, we brought the dog there for annual vaccination and was charged only for the vaccination but NOT consultation. My wife wrote an email to the vet, relating our experience and attaching the Aug vaccination receipt. She received no reply, no explanation or apology for the admin's rude remark. Other than the admin's rude remark, the vet's practice and attitudes leave much to be desired: 1) not quoting full pricing is a marketing malpractice, no matter how you try to justify it. Consumer MUST he told the full costs upfront. 2) charging consultation fee for jabs is unjustified because as a vet, you cannot administer the jab without assessing and making sure that the jab is suitable for the dog. That assessment is not consultation. If you you charge a token assessment fee, that's not so bad. But we were charged a full Senior Vet fee! 3) saying things like "you can go somewhere else if you don't like it" is one of the rudest things to tell a customer. Update 18Dec2025: Vet Practice's reply contradicts themselves. Firstly, regardless of whether we compared your fees to others, the practice of charging consultation fee WITHOUT informing us in advance is wrong. Secondly, they said they charged consultation bcos of fee structure, AND bcos we asked questions. So which is which? And for the record, we did not raise any questions on our own - we were merely responding to the vet's questions and remarks in what appeared to be mere conversation. The receipt we emailed to Vet Practice was from them on Aug this year, not from another clinic. It shows no consultation fee. Lastly, there is no need for the admin to be rude. The management seems to accept this type of behavior and ignored my complaint abt it.

I’ve brought my cats and dog here to this clinic and their other branch in holland close for several years. The vets here are very knowledgeable and gentle with my pets. My cat who usually gets stressed out and aggressive in vet clinics did not even flinch during his jabs! My late cat who passed few years back was diagnosed with cancer and i was very thankful that they kept him comfortable during his last few days. My other cat was diagnosed with an ear infection recently and her ear infection was resolved after one week of medications that they dispensed! Very thankful to the vets Dr Daphne Ang, Dr Felicia Lu, Dr Sophia Ke, Dr Ng Boon Jun for seeing and giving good advices to my pets! Also, Debbie, Soosee, Charity, Jay, Jeslyn, Jocelyn, Calista, Herman & Mike for helping out with booking of appointments and taking good care of my pets!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Vet Practice charge?

Vet Practice is positioned in the mid-range tier ($$), but a detailed fee schedule has not been published, so it is best to call or submit the enquiry form for a current price list. In Singapore, a standard veterinary consultation typically ranges from S$30 to S$80, with additional charges for diagnostics such as blood panels, X-rays, or urinalysis. Vaccinations, parasite prevention, dental scaling, and surgical procedures each carry their own fees, and costs can vary meaningfully by pet size and breed. Always ask for a written estimate before any procedure, particularly for surgery or extended diagnostics. Confirm whether GST applies and whether there are additional charges for after-hours or urgent consultations. See the full Veterinary Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

What vaccinations does Vet Practice require?

For dogs, core vaccinations typically include the DHPP combination (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, and parainfluenza) and rabies, both of which are required to be current — generally within the past 12 months — for boarding or daycare services. Bordetella (kennel cough) is frequently required by boarding and grooming facilities as well. For cats, the standard core vaccination is FVRCP (feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia), along with rabies. Bring your pet's vaccination booklet or a signed certificate from the issuing veterinarian when attending any appointment or drop-off. If vaccinations are not up to date, Vet Practice may be able to administer them during the visit — confirm this when booking.

Is Vet Practice licensed and insured?

Vet Practice is KakiList verified, meaning a real person has confirmed the operating details and contact channels on this listing. It holds a Google rating of 4.1 out of 5 across 174 reviews, which is a robust sample. However, no regulatory licences are listed on this profile, and it is not confirmed as ACRA registered. In Singapore, veterinary clinics are regulated by the National Parks Board (NParks) under the Veterinary and Agri-Food Industry Branch, and practising veterinarians must be registered with the Veterinary Council of Singapore. Boarding facilities additionally require an Animal & Veterinary Service (AVS) licence. It is advisable to ask Vet Practice directly to confirm the clinic's NParks registration and the registration status of its veterinarians before proceeding. Visit the facility, check the vaccination policy, and confirm insurance before drop-off.
