PG/N1/K1 teachers have all been wonderful, and the K2 Chinese teacher was also very good. Unfortunately, the K2 English teacher (A) was frequently absent and the teaching quality was really not up to standard — I even noticed many of my child’s comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar books left incomplete. Thankfully, that teacher has already left. Overall, the school still has many dedicated and caring teachers that we truly appreciate. 1 star for the English Teacher.

What sets Wharton apart is the sense of community and warmth that permeates every aspect of the school. The staff genuinely care about each child and family, making parents feel supported and valued. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Wharton Preschool for our child's early education journey. The preschool has laid a strong foundation for their future success and instilled a love of learning that will last a lifetime.

Really happy that we enrolled our child into Wharton. The teacher are really caring and loving. My son adores every single one of them, even those not teaching his class. Ms Linda, the principal is also very hands on and consistently updates the parents on the child's performance in school. Wharton also has a good management team that not only ensures good facilities and curriculum in school but shows constant care and concern of the students. The teachers also provide timely updates with photos despite their busy schedule. My son really enjoys going to school, this is a drastic improvement from consistent crying in the very beginning. Really appreciate the teachers and principal's support for this!

I currently have two sons in Wharton Preschool, Serangoon North. They love going to school every morning, knowing that the team of teachers will be there to welcome them warmly. Wharton's holistic curriculum supports the children's growing curiosities and confidence in questioning and discovering the world. My sons also continue to develop important social skills under the teachers' guidance. As I write this, my oldest son, in K2, enjoys learning about current affairs, engaging in experiments and exploring Montessori materials. Our youngest son, who just started PG, continues to settle comfortably under the teachers' love and care. I am very happy that I entrusted my boys to Wharton, and I recommend it for any parent who wants to enrol their child in a supportive, enriching and caring school.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Wharton Preschool charge per month?

Wharton Preschool has not published its full monthly fee schedule on this listing, so you will need to contact the centre directly for a current fee breakdown. As a general guide, preschool and kindergarten fees in Singapore typically range from around S$160 per month for government-anchored operators to over S$2,000 per month at private centres, depending on programme type and hours. Beyond the monthly fee, ask about the one-time registration fee, the security deposit (commonly equivalent to one or two months' fees), and any charges for uniforms, insurance, or enrichment add-ons. Childcare and kindergarten fees are GST-exempt in Singapore, so no GST should be applied to your monthly invoice. See the full childcare cost guide for Singapore →

What subsidies can I claim at Wharton Preschool?

Singapore citizen children attending an ECDA-licensed childcare centre may be eligible for the Basic Subsidy — up to S$600 per month for infant care and up to S$300 per month for childcare. Working mothers who clock at least 56 hours of work per month may additionally qualify for the Working Mother's Child Care Subsidy. Lower-income families may receive an Additional Subsidy of up to S$710 per month when combined with the Working Mother's subsidy, subject to per-capita household income testing. For kindergarten-only programmes, the KidSTART or KiFAS schemes may apply depending on the operator type and your household circumstances. Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible for partial subsidies at a reduced quantum. Subsidy rates and eligibility criteria are updated periodically, so always verify the current figures directly with ECDA at ecda.gov.sg before making enrolment decisions. Confirm with Wharton Preschool whether it is ECDA-licensed and therefore able to administer these subsidies on your behalf.

Is there a waitlist at Wharton Preschool?

Popular preschools in Singapore, particularly those with strong reputations or convenient locations, often have waitlists — especially for infant care places, where ECDA-set caregiver ratios limit capacity. It is generally advisable to enquire at least three to six months ahead of your intended start date, and up to twelve months ahead for infant care. January is the peak intake month aligned with the school calendar year, so places for that cohort tend to be secured earliest. To hold a slot, centres typically require payment of a registration fee and a refundable deposit. Contact Wharton Preschool directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability for your child's age group and preferred start month.
