About Wheelchair Maxi

About Wheelchair Maxi

Wheelchair Maxi is a senior transport provider operating islandwide across Singapore. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and carries a 4.9/5 rating across 128 Google reviews — a robust sample that suggests consistent service delivery. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$), though specific fare structures were not available at the time of listing.

Families arranging transport for an elderly or mobility-impaired relative will want to confirm a few practical details before booking: the type of wheelchair or mobility aid being used (manual, powered, or scooter), whether the passenger requires a ramp or tail-lift vehicle, the origin and destination addresses, and whether the journey is a one-off appointment or a recurring arrangement such as weekly dialysis or day-care runs. It is also worth clarifying whether a caregiver or family member will be accompanying the passenger, how much notice is required for bookings, and whether there is a cancellation or no-show policy. Bookings can be made via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form.

To get started, contact Wheelchair Maxi directly via WhatsApp with the passenger's mobility aid type, pick-up and drop-off addresses, and preferred date and time, so the team can confirm vehicle availability and provide a fare estimate.

My first attempt to book a two-way wheelchair transport with them. I looked up and they really have good reviews. Initially was pleasant, however when i asked for confirmation and payment or even deposit there was no follow up. Since there was no official confirmation, it is impossible for me to know if my booking is accepted. By typing that my booking is confirmed in Whatsapp, it does not work for me. As a consumer, it is not my responsibility to chase for payment rather the business should follow up. I did not have a good experience from them and will never will again.

First time using wheelchairmaxi services. Booked it for 2 consecutive days for medical appointments. The rides are pleasant and quiet, and safe with careful driving. It's only the ride back home on the 2nd day, we found the driving a bit bumpy. But overall it's good. Will still book again for our next appointment.

Accessible taxis are hard to find but we were lucky enough to come across Philip and his company whilst searching for transport in Singapore who were able to accommodate me and my husband in our electric wheelchairs. There was also another passenger and several pieces of luggage. Philip and his colleagues transported us everywhere we wanted to go. They were friendly and kind and made our time in Singapore easy and hassle free. We would definitely recommend. Thank you Philip!

The driver arrived on time and communications were prompt and clear. The drivers were obviously trained and helpful in loading and securing my dad and his wheelchair. I would recommend them and definitely use this company again. Keep up the good work!! 👍

Philip and the team of experience drivers provided great services which ease the regular visits to rehab centre and hospital visits a breeze. Appreciate Philip's responses to changes of pick up time due to unforeseen circumstances. Looking for reliable and great service? Go for wheelchairmaxi:)

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Wheelchair Maxi charge?

Wheelchair Maxi does not publish a fixed fare schedule on its listing, and pricing for senior transport typically depends on journey distance, vehicle type (standard maxi-cab with ramp vs. dedicated wheelchair-accessible vehicle), and whether a return trip is required. Recurring bookings — such as weekly dialysis runs or day-care transfers — may attract a different rate from one-off medical appointments. Additional charges to clarify in advance include waiting time fees, peak-hour or late-night surcharges, escort or accompaniment fees if a caregiver joins the ride, and any surcharge for powered wheelchairs or heavy mobility aids. Request a written fare confirmation before the first journey. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does Wheelchair Maxi offer?

Wheelchair Maxi is a transport service rather than a residential or home-care provider, so the live-in versus visit-based distinction does not apply here. The service focuses on point-to-point transfers for elderly or wheelchair-using passengers — typically to hospitals, specialist clinics, dialysis centres, day-rehabilitation centres, or family visits. Families should confirm whether Wheelchair Maxi offers both scheduled recurring trips (e.g., three times weekly) and ad-hoc bookings, how much advance notice each requires, and what the process is if a journey needs to be rescheduled at short notice. Clarifying these logistics upfront is particularly important for passengers with fixed medical appointment schedules.

Is the vehicle accessible and is Wheelchair Maxi insured?

For wheelchair transport, the critical questions are whether the vehicle is fitted with a hydraulic ramp or tail-lift (not just a manual ramp), whether the wheelchair can be secured with approved tie-down straps during transit, and whether the driver is trained to assist passengers safely during boarding and alighting. On the insurance side, confirm that the vehicle carries the appropriate commercial passenger vehicle insurance that covers elderly and mobility-impaired passengers, and ask whether there is specific liability coverage in the event of an incident during boarding or the journey. Wheelchair Maxi holds no regulatory licences on this listing, so these questions are worth putting directly to the provider before booking.
