About Yoga Movement

About Yoga Movement

Yoga Movement is a wellness studio offering holistic classes, operating from its centre at 6 Handy Rd, #02-01, Singapore 229234, with an islandwide presence. The listing is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed. On Google, the studio holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating across 309 reviews, a robust sample that provides a reliable signal of consistent client experience. Pricing is in the mid-range band, though specific session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly.

New clients typically begin with a first consultation or introductory class to assess goals — whether that is flexibility, stress management, strength, or recovery — and to confirm that the style and level are appropriate. Yoga Movement offers holistic programming, so it is worth enquiring about the specific class formats available, whether drop-in sessions or term packages are offered, and what the cancellation and no-show policy looks like. If you have any pre-existing injuries or medical conditions, raise these before your first session so the instructor can advise on modifications or whether a one-to-one assessment is preferable to a group class.

To get started, contact Yoga Movement by phone or through the enquiry form on their listing to ask about current class schedules, introductory offers, and how to book your first session.

I am an avid yoga practitioner and it’s safe to say that yoga movement studios is by far the leading studio in Singapore. It’s high quality is maintained at every studio - both in service and more importantly yoga classes. Today, I was welcomed to a Halloween themed deco.. amazing, the quirky atmosphere greeted me and I felt so fortunate to attain class today with a special yoga treat.

Great studio, great community, literally my second home these days as I come so often here. ☺️ The classes have many variants for different levels, the studio is spacious and gorgeous, the teachers are knowledgeable and helpful with their unique teaching styles, the staffs are friendly and helpful. Every time, I go out of this place feeling so energized and relaxed. Would like to specially highlight Wei, Tristan, Bruce and Kathleen - I love their teaching styles a lot. Also special highlight to Nick, literally I just walked up to check in, and he greeted me before I opened my mouth: “Hey Ira, 2 classes today? It would be at Academy the first class and Bestie the second class - enjoy your classes!” I was obviously pleasantly shocked and left speechless! I mean, what a fabulous and seamless check-in experience! I could only highly recommend this place for anybody esp. yoga lovers.

I would like to give a big compliment to the front desk team at Yoga Movement Orchard for their extreme hospitality, warmth, and personal touch. Special thanks to Niko, who always remembers my name even though I’m still quite new here. He welcomes me every time with a cheerful smile and genuine warmth, and his professionalism makes me feel truly valued. Walking into the studio always feels like coming home, not just going to a class. Thank you, Niko and the team, for creating such a welcoming and positive environment. It really makes a difference!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Yoga Movement charge per session?

Yoga Movement is priced in the mid-range band, though specific per-session and package rates are not publicly listed. Wellness studios in Singapore typically charge S$25–50 per drop-in class and S$180–400 for an eight to ten class monthly package, with introductory offers often available for first-time clients. Confirm with Yoga Movement directly whether a first-class or introductory rate applies, whether packages expire, and what the cancellation or no-show penalty is — many studios charge the full session fee for late cancellations within 12 to 24 hours. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No formal referral is required for a yoga or holistic wellness class. Most studios ask new clients to complete an intake form covering any injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, or recent surgery before their first session — this allows the instructor to recommend the appropriate class level and note modifications. If you have a specific medical condition such as a spinal injury, cardiovascular issue, or have recently had surgery, it is advisable to obtain clearance from your GP before attending. For clients managing chronic conditions, a one-to-one session with an instructor before joining group classes can help establish safe limits and build confidence.

Is the practitioner licensed?

Yoga and holistic wellness instructors in Singapore are not regulated by a statutory licensing board in the same way as physiotherapists (AHPC) or TCM practitioners (TCMPB). Credentialling is instead voluntary — relevant qualifications include Yoga Alliance registration (RYT-200 or RYT-500 hour designations), specialist certifications in areas such as prenatal yoga, yin, or restorative practices, and ongoing continuing education. No regulatory licences are listed for Yoga Movement on KakiList at this time. Before booking, it is reasonable to ask which training bodies the instructors are certified with and how many hours of training they hold, particularly if you are attending for therapeutic or rehabilitative purposes. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
