About "Young Explorer"

Young Explorer is an enrichment class provider listed on KakiList under the Education category, operating islandwide from its centre at 304 Ubi Ave 1, #01-85, Singapore 400304. If you are considering enrolling your child, the sensible first step is to enquire about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme aligns with your child's current school curriculum or developmental stage. Ask whether group classes or one-to-one sessions are available, as the format can significantly affect how well the teaching style suits your child. Clarify whether a term commitment is required upfront, what the trial class arrangement looks like, and whether classes are conducted in person at the Ubi centre or online.

To get started, reach out to Young Explorer via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to ask about current availability, confirm the class format that suits your child, and arrange a trial session before committing to a term.

I am fortunate to have found Thinkubator in Ubi vicinity which is just opposite my kids' school. Though the fees maybe slightly higher than the other student care centers around the area, it is definitely value for money with regards to the quality of services we receive in return! The environment is clean and newly renovated with nutritious cooked food for kids. The teachers are amazing, passionate and caring, and they have the ability to engage the kids in an effective manner! My boys love it so much and enjoy every single day in the centre! One of the areas worth mentioning is the fact that they do not just focus on the academic progress of the kids, they do various other activities (STEAM related) with these kids. This makes learning interesting for kids and really help the kids develop other capabilities and skillsets, beyond just typical classroom learning. In fact, this is the 3rd student care center which my kids have attended and I dare say that this is the BEST in this area by far! Highly recommended for all parents!

I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the student care re-opened after shutting down. My kid has been enjoying the varied curriculum so far. Downside is the place itself is very small, hope the biz owner expands.

My boy have been attending after-school and holiday programs at Explorer Junior Thinkubator since Jan 2020 and enjoying his time thus far. There is a variety of programs like STEAM attack, documentaries, coding classes that he enjoys on top of play sessions like outdoor play. Daily, teachers goes through extra assessments with them on top of guiding school homework and caring for their wellbeing (bath and meals). If you are looking for an out-of-the-norm student care where kids are exposed to out of curriculum activities, I highly recommend this place!

When my boy started school in Primary 1, we enrolled him in one of the student cares near his school. However, we didn't have a pleasant experience with that student care and my boy refused to go. In the end, we withdrew him after 5 days. For the next 4 months, he did not go to any student care after school. When we knew that Thinkubator was opening, we decided to take a look. Initially, my boy refused to go because of the previous bad experience in another student care. However, when he was there, he immediately liked it. The teacher engaged him in some activities, one of which was his favourite - LEGOS. He agreed to go to the student care and hence, we signed him up, being the very first customer. He has been there for more than a year now. We have no regrets sending him there. Most importantly, he likes it and is looking forward to going there everyday. He can't wait for school holidays to come so that he can be there full day. Separately, I must say the boss of Thinkubator is very active in the centre as well as with the children. You get to see her most of the time, whether during pick up or drop off. No school is perfect. She will always makes it a point to update and follow up with parents whenever something positive or negative happens in the school. This is definitely a thumbs up for me. I strongly recommend this student care to any parents. No regrets definitely.

The place where ambitions, dreams, and ideas come alive. The team is innovative and has put in a lot of thought in their programmes. More importantly, they have a big heart and keen interest in education. Had the opportunity to attend one of their launches and it was an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Definitely have my recommendation!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does "Young Explorer" charge per session?

Young Explorer displays a mid-range price indicator, but specific per-session or monthly fees are not published on this listing. Enrichment class pricing in Singapore typically varies depending on whether you are joining a group class or booking one-to-one sessions, as well as the subject, level, and term length. Group sessions commonly run on a monthly or per-term package basis, while one-to-one tuition is often priced per session. Ask about trial class fees, whether materials or workbooks are charged separately, and whether sibling discounts or package deals apply. Some providers offer a reduced-rate or complimentary trial before you commit to a full term. See the full Enrichment Classes cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many enrichment providers in Singapore offer a trial class so you can gauge fit before signing up for a full term. During a trial, look out for how the instructor manages pacing and engagement — does the content match your child's current level, and does the teaching style hold their attention? It is also worth observing the class size, since smaller groups typically allow for more personalised feedback. If your child is joining mid-term, clarify how the provider handles catch-up on earlier material. Contact Young Explorer directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form to ask about trial class availability, the associated cost, and what is covered in the session.

What are the tutor's credentials?

Credential details for Young Explorer's instructors are not listed publicly. When enquiring, it is worth asking whether tutors hold a degree in the relevant subject, have NIE or MOE teaching experience, or have prior classroom or specialist coaching backgrounds. For enrichment classes aligned to the Singapore school syllabus, confirm whether the instructor is familiar with the current MOE curriculum frameworks. For specialist programmes such as arts, music, or coding, ask about any relevant professional certifications or industry experience. Young Explorer can be reached by WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form — ask directly about instructor qualifications before committing to a term.
