About 1 Aljunied Medical

About 1 Aljunied Medical

1 Aljunied Medical is a general practice clinic located at 389 Upper Aljunied Road, Singapore 367874, serving patients across the island. The clinic holds a 4.4/5 rating across 116 Google reviews, a robust sample that suggests consistent patient satisfaction. No regulatory licence details have been provided in the listing, so prospective patients are advised to verify the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's SMC registration before attending.

For a first visit, patients typically present with an acute complaint or seek a routine health review. The GP will take a brief history, examine, and advise on investigations such as a blood panel or urinalysis where clinically appropriate. Prescriptions are dispensed on-site at most GP clinics. For conditions falling under the Chronic Disease Management Programme — including hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidaemia — MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year may be applicable, subject to eligibility. Patients holding an Integrated Shield Plan layered on MediShield Life should note that standard GP consultations are generally not covered under inpatient-focused IP riders, though some riders include outpatient benefits.

To arrange a visit, call the clinic or submit an enquiry via the contact form to confirm current opening hours, appointment availability, and whether walk-in patients are accepted.

My go to clinic for past 2 years. However, today's visit was a tad disappointing. If your opening hours is 6pm and your doctor only arrives at 6.45pm, at least inform your patients or update the operating hours? Seated for 45 minutes just to wait for the doctor. Unprofessional.

Newly opened clinic in late August 2022, serving residents in the vicinity. Went on a Saturday evening, as my hubby was experiencing stomach discomfort. When we first approached the clinic, the signage was indicated “closed” but interior lights were on, so we went in and checked with the clinic staff. She immediately rectified the signage issue. There was no one in the clinic and 1 clinic staff manning the counter. Clinic is clean and well maintained. The whole process from registration and seeing doctor to medication collection took about 15 mins. My hubby was diagnosed with food poisoning, and felt slightly better 15 mins after taking the given meds.

Wrong diagnosis by practitioner Dr Goh. Referred to wrong department of TTSH. Time and money wasted. Causing anxiety to me and my family. Be aware and beware to All. Thanks

Don't quite understand the clinic hours of opening at 6pm when the Dr takes own time own target to arrive which is a time waster as one has to rush down from work and wish to have a quick consultation before heading home for well deserved rest time. That said, the nurse with short hair is rather rude and brash when asked if one could purchase medication via the counter. Decorum/service can definitely be improved, with this clinic that serves nearby residents.

Poor Service, female doctor is rude, annoyed. She asked a question about my mensus history, i open my phone to check and she is very annoyed and ask, "no need very accurate, just tell me roughly". NO PATIENCE AT ALL. The doctor told me, if I need IHP to book an appointment to the specialist for me, let the front desk know. When I am collecting my referral letter from the front desk, the receptionist asked me to book specialist on my own. I said, the doctor mentioned I can book through IHP by informing you. Then the receptionist said, okay IHP will contact you in 2-3 working days. 4 working days later, I called the clinic and ask if there is any update from IHP. They told me they will check and call me back. No call back, no update. I called IHP directly and was informed that there is no appointment request from the panel clinic under my profile. What a bad service from 1 Aljunied Medical.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does 1 Aljunied Medical charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits often at the lower end of that range. Common add-ons include investigations such as a blood panel (S$60–200), urinalysis, or X-ray (S$80–150), as well as prescription medications dispensed on-site. GST applies on private medical services. For patients enrolled in the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), MediSave withdrawals of up to S$700 per year can offset outpatient costs for listed chronic conditions. Any planned investigation or procedure should be discussed upfront so you have a clear sense of the out-of-pocket portion. Contact 1 Aljunied Medical directly to confirm current consultation fees, as pricing can vary by session type and the investigations ordered. Is 1 Aljunied Medical MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor is also listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can confirm registration status, specialist accreditation if applicable, and any disciplinary history. No licence details have been provided in this listing, so patients are strongly encouraged to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named doctor's SMC registration before attending. Neither verification alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. The clinic can be contacted by phone or via the online form to request these details directly. Verify the doctor's name on the SMC register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at 1 Aljunied Medical?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life primarily cover inpatient stays and day surgery; standard outpatient GP visits are generally not claimable under most IP policies unless the plan includes a specific outpatient rider. Confirm your rider terms with your insurer before assuming coverage. MediSave withdrawals are available for outpatient treatment under two main pathways: up to S$500 per year for general outpatient use, and up to S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP) for listed conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and selected mental health conditions. Separate MediSave limits apply for outpatient cancer treatment and kidney dialysis. For any planned procedure or investigation, ask the clinic for a written cost estimate that separates the MediSave-claimable portion from the cash out-of-pocket amount. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
