About 1.Care Employment Agency

About 1.Care Employment Agency

1.Care Employment Agency is an eldercare provider specialising in elderly caregiver placement, operating islandwide from its office at 38 Jln Pemimpin. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and holds a 4.9/5 rating across 101 Google reviews — a robust sample that points to consistent client satisfaction. Pricing is indicated at a mid-range level; contact the agency directly for a detailed breakdown of placement and ongoing costs.

Families typically begin by reaching out via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to describe the elder's care needs — including mobility, medical conditions, dementia status, and the hours of support required each day. The agency will help determine whether a visit-based caregiver or a live-in arrangement better suits the household, and can walk families through the care assessment process. Key decision-makers in the household should be involved early, as placements work best when expectations around scope, language, and personal care tasks are aligned from the outset. A trial period can help confirm that the caregiver's skills and temperament are a good match before a longer commitment is made.

To get started, reach out to 1.Care Employment Agency via WhatsApp or phone to outline the elder's care requirements and arrange an initial consultation.

This is our first time engaging a caregiver for our 80yo mother who had a fall. Jane from 1Care was very patient in explaining to us what is expected. From my understanding, 1Care has a strong network in Myanmar and is about connect us to an experienced Burmese caregiver. The caregiver is able to help with my mom’s meals, bathing, diaper-change, physio etc and who is also willing to help take care of the household chores. We appreciate 1Care’s services in able to provide and train these experienced caregivers. The salary for our caregiver is slightly higher but we don’t mind paying as they are well-trained and experienced.

I first engaged this agency's services six years ago to source a helper with nursing-aid knowledge through a friend's recommendation. In July 2024, I reached out to them again to find a new helper, as my previous helper decided to pursue a better-paying job in Singapore. Thanks to the agency's assistance and my former helper's cooperation, the transition was smooth and efficient. Recently, I had a video conference with the agency to follow up on my current helper's well-being and my satisfaction. They even organized training sessions with AIC for my helper at no additional cost to me as an employer. This is truly a top-notch agency that I will continue to engage and highly recommend to everyone!

Janice and her team is AMAZING! Agency with a Good Heart. They listen, understands employers and give good advices. Very experienced and highly professional. Janice matched a caregiver for my elderly father and had her sent to us within 3 weeks. Father gets along well with helper and is full of praise. Personally, helper free for years due bad prior experiences but hired one from Janice too and she is a gem helper. I am confident to introduce friends & colleagues to Janice and they only have good words too.

I recently had the pleasure of engaging the services of 1. Care Employment agency and I must say that I am extremely pleased with their professionalism, support, and promptness in responding to my queries, and the valuable advice they provided. From the very beginning, the agency demonstrated a high level of competence and efficiency. Their staff were well-informed about the types of services they offer, and I was quickly provided with all the necessary information I needed to make an informed decision. They were patient in answering all my questions and concerns, ensuring that I felt confident in moving forward with their service. Once I decided to proceed, the maid agency wasted no time in finding suitable candidates for me. They thoroughly understood my requirements in terms of skills, experience, and language and used this knowledge to shortlist several candidates who matched my needs. I was pleasantly surprised at the speed with which they found potential maids for me, which highlighted their dedication and commitment to delivering a swift and reliable service. Overall, I highly recommend this maid agency for their efficient service, combined with their knowledge and dedication, ensuring a seamless and satisfactory experience.

I enquired about getting an elder care helper for my father in March and in less than a month, 1 Care Agency was able to bring in one from Myanmar. The whole process from biodata review to video interview to paperwork and handover went smoothly. They were very professional and easy to work with. We are very happy with the helper. A big thanks to the team at 1 Care Agency!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does 1.Care Employment Agency charge?

Pricing will depend on the type of arrangement — visit-based or live-in — and the level of care required. For visit-based caregivers, hourly rates in Singapore typically run from S$20 to S$35 per hour, with public holiday surcharges commonly applied. Live-in arrangements involve a separate agency placement fee, the caregiver's monthly salary, and if a foreign domestic worker is involved, the applicable MOM levy and mandatory insurance. Confirm the full cost breakdown — including agency fees, caregiver salary, insurance, and any disbursements — in writing before proceeding. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does 1.Care Employment Agency offer?

1.Care Employment Agency specialises in elderly caregiver placement, which can encompass both visit-based and live-in options depending on the elder's needs and the family's circumstances. Visit-based caregivers typically assist with personal care, mobility support, and companionship during set hours, while live-in arrangements provide more continuous coverage — particularly relevant for elders with dementia or complex medical needs. A trial period is advisable before committing to a longer arrangement, allowing both the elder and the caregiver to establish rapport. The agency should be able to advise on replacement procedures if the initial match proves unsuitable, so it is worth clarifying that policy upfront.

Is the caregiver trained and insured?

Training standards for caregivers vary and are worth verifying directly. Ask whether caregivers hold formal certifications — such as those offered through the Agency for Integrated Care (AIC) or the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework — and whether dementia-specific or medical-care training is available where the elder's condition requires it. Insurance coverage is an important consideration: confirm whether the agency carries professional liability insurance covering caregiver-related incidents, and what happens if a caregiver is injured on the job or an incident occurs involving the client. Families should also note that 1.Care Employment Agency does not currently list AIC or MOH registration among its regulatory credentials, so it is advisable to ask directly about its compliance status and caregiver vetting process.
