About 1doc Joy Clinic Yishun
1doc Joy Clinic Yishun is a general practice clinic located at Block 844, Yishun Street 81, serving residents in the Yishun area and the broader north of Singapore. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 3.5/5 rating across 28 Google reviews — a moderate sample size, though the score sits below the 4.0 threshold that would indicate broadly consistent patient satisfaction. No ACRA registration or regulatory licence details are currently on record with KakiList, so prospective patients should confirm the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence and the consulting doctor's Singapore Medical Council registration directly before booking.
As a GP clinic, the typical patient journey begins with a walk-in or booked appointment for an acute complaint, repeat prescription, or routine health check. The consultation covers history-taking, examination, and an on-the-spot treatment plan; investigations such as a blood panel, urine dipstick, or referral for imaging are arranged where clinically indicated. Patients with chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme — including hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and asthma — may be able to use MediSave 500 or 700 withdrawals for outpatient treatment. For specialist referrals, a GP letter routes patients either to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic at subsidised rates or directly to a private specialist at full private rates.

Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Dr Soh is a very nice and friendly doctor. She answers to all my questions patiently. Always ready to recieve her patients with a heartwarming smile. Really the best doctor I've consulted.
This clinic has been my go-to since childhood—over 30 years now. While I have always appreciated the doctor's care, it's disappointing to see that some of their practices haven’t evolved with the times. Only cash payments (not even paynow) are accepted, and although their stated opening hours are until 12:30 PM, I was denied a queue number at 11:10 AM with the explanation that they were already at capacity and that I "should have called to check." Despite the doctor’s good reputation, the clinic’s operations feel outdated. It would be beneficial for them to review and update their processes to better meet the needs of patients today.
Been seeing her since young. Very experienced and Doctor Soh is very good. However the staffs don’t change after so many years. They have bad attitudes n reject us even we are very sick saying no more slot.l. call up clinic always engages cant go through then answer said no slot 😡
The doctor and medicine was good. However the service from the front counter is always very bad. Even you go before clinic operating hours, they will turn you away regardless how sick or pain you are. They will tell you don't need to wait. If the system is further improve, this clinic will be v good. However it has never change over the years I've been there
Worst experience ever. The counter staff had a terrible attitude. I arrived at 11:30 PM, and she rudely brushed me off, telling me to come back at 1:45 AM. When I asked if I could register my son, she impolitely said no. There were only five people in the clinic, yet she insisted it was packed. The doctor may not realize that the counter staff is turning patients away. Frustrated, I went to another clinic where the staff treated me much better. If it weren’t for my wife recommending this place, I wouldn’t have even known about it. This will definitely be my last visit to this unfriendly clinic. I also don’t understand why they only accept cash instead of cashless payments.

GP consultations at private and Healthier SG-registered GP clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 per visit, with follow-up visits usually at the lower end. Common add-ons billed separately include investigations (blood panel S$60–200, urine test S$15–40, throat or wound swab S$20–50), prescriptions (S$5–40 depending on medications dispensed), and medical certificates. GST applies on private medical services. For chronic disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, MediSave withdrawals of up to S$500–700 per year can offset outpatient costs for eligible conditions. Any planned procedure or referral should come with a written financial estimate splitting insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions. Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor must be registered with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC); search by name at smc.gov.sg to confirm registration status, specialist accreditation where applicable, and any disciplinary history. KakiList does not currently hold licence details for 1doc Joy Clinic Yishun, so patients are strongly advised to verify both the clinic's MOH licence and the named consulting doctor's SMC registration independently before booking. Neither the clinic licence alone nor SMC registration alone is sufficient — both should be confirmed. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.
Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery rather than standard GP consultations, though some riders cover outpatient specialist visits — check your specific plan terms. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of chronic conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), with withdrawal limits of S$500 per year (general) or S$700 per year where CDMP conditions are involved, covering hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, asthma, stroke, COPD, and selected mental health conditions among others. For patients referred onward to specialists or day surgery, pre-authorisation from the insurer and a Letter of Guarantee issued before the procedure will prevent post-treatment billing disputes. Confirm with 1doc Joy Clinic Yishun whether it is a Healthier SG-enrolled clinic, as enrolment unlocks subsidised chronic disease management for Singapore Citizens and PRs under that scheme. Skipping financial counselling before any planned procedure is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
