Patients typically begin with a first consultation during which the physiotherapist conducts a clinical assessment to understand the presenting condition — whether that is musculoskeletal pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injury, or a chronic condition affecting mobility. From there, a treatment plan is agreed, which may involve hands-on manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as dry needling or ultrasound therapy. The practice can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or an online enquiry form, making it straightforward to discuss your condition before booking. Clarify upfront whether you require a one-off assessment or a recurring course of treatment, and ask about the cancellation policy if plans change.

To take the next step, contact Active Rehab Physiotherapy directly via WhatsApp or phone to describe your condition and intended goals, and request a first-consultation appointment at the Robinson Road clinic.

I first visited Dr Isabelle in April due to shoulder pain, as I was experiencing discomfort during overhead shoulder workouts. She was very attentive and patient, and was able to accurately identify the issue and treat it effectively. She also recommended helpful stretches to improve my mobility. I returned for a second session and noticed a clear improvement in my condition. I later went back again for ankle discomfort, and Isabelle was once again able to treat the issue successfully. I’m really glad to have met Dr Isabelle. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and genuinely cares about her patients. I’m very pleased with her service and can tell she truly enjoys what she does. Keep up the great work! 👍🏼👍🏼

I had an excellent experience with TJ - just two sessions (including dry needling) my wrist and shoulder pain were largely gone. He also coordinated with my PT to ensure I had the right rehab exercises and even checked in afterwards to monitor my progress. Truly professional, collaborative, and caring service. Highly recommend!

TJ is an excellent physio who quickly identified the root causes of my back pain and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He prescribed targeted rehab exercises and was incredibly patient, attentive, and encouraging throughout both sessions. After just two visits, my range of motion has improved tremendously and the extreme pain I was dealing with is essentially gone. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients’ progress and recovery, not just a quick fix. Highly recommend TJ if you’re dealing with pain or mobility issues.

I will recommend Isabelle from ActiveX. She is very patient in understanding my pain points and adjust the excercise to suit my me. I appreciate her efforts in the follow-up after every session with her where she will provide details of the rehab excercise and accompany them with their videos respectively. This is extremely helpful for my reference given that I am the forgetful type. Thanks for being part of my recovery journey.

If you are a powerlifter and are looking for a physio therapist in Singapore, look no further. TJ’s expertise in injury management combined with his experience in competitive powerlifting results in some really effective injury management solutions. I recently participated in a powerlifting competition and had a bad flare up in my adductor. I was barely able to walk for the next 3 days and any kind of squat was out of the question. I saw TJ at ActiveX, and religiously followed the rehab movements he prescribed. Less than 9 days later I was back in the gym squatting close to 200kg with almost no pain. Highly recommended! Thank you TJ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Active Rehab Physiotherapy charge per session?

Active Rehab Physiotherapy is priced in the mid-range band ($$), but specific per-session fees were not published at the time of listing. Singapore physiotherapy consultations typically run S$80–150 for an initial assessment and S$60–120 for follow-up sessions at private clinics, with add-ons such as dry needling, ultrasound therapy, or exercise programmes billed separately. Confirm the full fee schedule — including any package pricing and the cancellation or no-show policy — before your first appointment. Note that if you hold an integrated shield plan or are claiming under MediSave (for approved chronic conditions via CHAS or the Flexi-MediSave scheme for seniors), ask whether Active Rehab Physiotherapy is a panel or accredited provider, as this affects out-of-pocket cost. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

Physiotherapy clinics in Singapore generally accept direct bookings without a GP referral, though a referral letter from your doctor or specialist is useful if you have imaging reports, surgical history, or a complex diagnosis that the physiotherapist should review ahead of the session. For insurance reimbursement or MediSave claims, a doctor's referral or diagnosis code is often required — check your policy terms before booking. At your first visit, expect to complete an intake form covering medical history, current medications, and the nature of your complaint. The physiotherapist will then conduct a physical assessment before beginning hands-on treatment. If your condition involves post-operative recovery or a significant neurological component, mention this when booking so the clinic can allocate sufficient time and the appropriate therapist.

Is the physiotherapist at Active Rehab Physiotherapy licensed?

In Singapore, physiotherapists must be registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) under the Allied Health Professions Act to practise legally. You can verify any physiotherapist's registration status on the AHPC public register at ahpc.edu.sg using their full name — this confirms they hold the required qualifications and are in good standing. No regulatory licence information was provided in this listing, so it is advisable to ask for the practising physiotherapist's AHPC registration number directly before your appointment. The 5/5 rating across 436 Google reviews is a positive signal, but it does not substitute for licence verification. Confirm the named practitioner and their AHPC status before committing to a course of treatment. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
