About Active Zone
Active Zone is a sports and swimming school operating islandwide across Singapore, listed on KakiList as verified. It holds a Google rating of 4.8 out of 5 based on 44 reviews — a moderate sample that offers a reasonable directional signal of quality. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific session or programme fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.
Families considering Active Zone should begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the programme is appropriate for the child's current ability, age group, and goals. It is worth clarifying whether classes are offered in group or one-to-one format, what the typical class size is, and whether a trial class is available before committing to a term. Parents should also ask about syllabus alignment (for example, whether the swimming curriculum follows a recognised progression framework), term length and commitment required, and whether sessions are held at a fixed venue or rotate across islandwide locations. Online delivery is unlikely for a physical sport, but do confirm venue access and whether transport is practical for your family.
To take the next step, use the enquiry form on the KakiList listing to ask Active Zone about current programme availability, class schedules, and pricing for your child's age group and ability level.
Take the trial class and confirm the coach's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Highly recommended!!! My daughter loves the class and cannot wait for saturday kickboxing! she learned a lot and is having fun at the same time. she never missed a class! the instructors are all friendly and professional, the place is clean, and its centrally located so after the class we can roam around malls like suntec with ease! i myself had been with Active Zone for 8 years now and never thought of changing studio 😊 it is really great for women and kids!
I really enjoy my kickboxing lessons with ActiveZone! I’m someone who doesn’t really enjoy exercising, and I have tried a few different forms of working out, but this has been the first place I’ve actually enjoyed so much. My favourite thing about the classes is that they’re structured to include a variety of kickboxing and conditioning exercises. It doesn’t feel monotonous at all and I often don’t realize how quickly an hour has passed. I love the all-girls environment and I think it’s really positive and encouraging. Valencia, Joel and Nicole are great instructors. They’re always energetic and push you to challenge yourself in each session. Overall I highly recommend this class, even if you’re a beginner and just starting out with working out regularly.
My grand nephew always looks forward to the kids' kickboxing class every week. The studio is located in a central location with a clean and welcoming environment. Instructors are highly qualified and professional. I highly recommend their kids kickboxing class.
I have started my training with Val and Joel in late April and I absolutely loved each of my training sessions. Val is a great instructor , she understands my needs and knows how to motivate me.. She will always plan what we were working on and varying the exercises each session to keep it interesting and challenging I was surprised I would be looking forward to each session but I truly felt each session left me with a “Job well done” feeling.
Signed my first gym membership with ActiveZone and have never looked back: - They don't hard sell. - The classes are fun and filled with different activities each time. - The instructors are very warm and friendly, providing you with guidance and advice along the way when you are working out and even towards your personal fitness goals (became stronger and even lost weight when i was with them!). - The instructors are very observant and can tell when you are slacking and when you truly needed a break :P - The ambience is superb, place is clean and most importantly, very comfortable!!

Active Zone displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), but specific per-session rates, monthly packages, and term fees are not publicly listed. In the Singapore market, group sports and swimming classes typically range from S$30–60 per session, while one-to-one or semi-private coaching can run S$80–150 per session. Monthly packages and term bundles often offer a lower effective per-session rate than paying on a drop-in basis. When enquiring, ask whether there is a registration or enrolment fee, whether a trial class is available and at what cost, and whether materials or equipment are included or charged separately. Sibling discounts or package deals for multiple terms are common in this category and worth asking about. See the full Sport and Swimming Schools cost guide for Singapore →
Many sports and swimming schools in Singapore offer a trial class — sometimes complimentary, sometimes at a reduced fee — before requiring a term commitment. A trial gives you the chance to observe whether the class level is appropriate for your child, whether the coaching style holds the child's attention, and whether the group size feels manageable. When assessing a trial session, watch for how the coach manages mixed ability levels, whether safety protocols are clearly in place (particularly for swimming), and how the child responds at the end. If Active Zone does offer a trial, confirm whether it counts towards the first term fee or is charged separately. Contact Active Zone directly via the enquiry form to ask about trial class availability and current scheduling.
Coaching credentials in swimming and sports can vary considerably. For swimming in particular, look for coaches who hold a Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) coaching accreditation, a AUSTSWIM or WSSC qualification, or equivalent recognised certification. Sports coaches may hold SportSG or National Sports Associations (NSA) accreditation relevant to their discipline. Active Zone's specific coaching credentials are not listed in publicly available information. It is advisable to ask directly about the qualifications, years of experience, and coach-to-student ratios before committing to a term. For younger children or beginners, the coach's experience working with that specific age group is as important as formal certification. Use the enquiry form on the KakiList listing to request this information before booking.
