About AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point

About AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point

AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point is a general practice clinic located in Jurong Point shopping mall, serving patients across the Jurong West area and the broader west-side catchment. The clinic is KakiList-verified and holds a 4.1/5 rating across 464 Google reviews, which is a robust sample and provides a reasonable indicator of patient experience. No regulatory licences are recorded in this listing, so patients are advised to confirm MOH Healthcare Services Licence and SMC registration details directly with the clinic before booking.

For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to check queue times. As a GP clinic, AcuMed Medical handles acute illness, minor injuries, repeat prescriptions, and chronic disease management under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which covers conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, and selected mental health conditions. CDMP-listed conditions allow MediSave 500 or 700 withdrawal for outpatient treatment. For conditions requiring specialist input, the clinic can issue a referral letter to a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic, which significantly reduces consultation fees for Singapore Citizens through the subsidised pathway. Fees at a private GP are typically S$25–60 per consultation before any subsidies or CHAS card application.

I would like to share my appreciation for the wonderful care I received. The staff were very kind, friendly, and accommodating, which made my visit a very pleasant experience. Special thanks to Sister Irene who took my blood sample. She is very kind, friendly, and extremely accommodating. I could really see that she loves her job through the way she treats patients. She was gentle and reassuring, which made the procedure very comfortable for me. I would also like to commend the young lady doctor who attended to me. She was very calm, attentive, and professional. She explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease during the medical checkup.

Went to Acumed (Jurong Point) last Saturday 24-Jan for medical exam. I was hesitant at first and did not really expect much as usual in terms of customer service as with anywhere in Singapore where everyone is just about rushing to do their job but don’t really care at all but I was so surprised when I noticed a lady (later on I found out her name was Maria Irene) who was assisting everyone on their medical needs. She was sooo nice and kind to every patient, having conversations about their medical concerns and really caring for the patients’ needs. Excellent customer service you can rarely find especially in Singapore, definitely the best clinic staff I ever met. Also, I was pleased to be attended by Dr. Evelyn — so kind, patient and answered all my questions in a simple way that a common, non-medical person like me can understand. Her calmness was reassuring. She’s a ray of sunshine in a gloomy place where anxiety, depression, and illness abound. I even told her that I will only go to her for medical checks from now on. So glad I went to Acumed-Jurong point because of them. I will never go anywhere else again.

Honestly, if my company hadn’t signed up with Acumed for medical report reviews, I wouldn’t have come back. The website states the clinic closes at 1 pm, but when I arrived at 11:08 am, I was told it was already closed — two hours earlier. I still waited until 12 noon before seeing the doctor, and there were only four patients left inside. People travel all the way here and even come early, yet the clinic still says it’s closed. The company really needs to update its business hours. Thank goodness my company’s panel clinic isn’t them — otherwise, I’d really vomit blood

If my company never sign up with Acumed as a panel clinic, I confirm won’t come to this clinic. The website states the clinic closes at 5pm, but when I reached at 4:00pm for my pass renewal test (only blood test), they told me it was already closed. I asked the counter staff what time the last appointment was, and she said “8:30–5pm.” I told her it was only 4:00pm, then she said must see the queue situation. But inside, I could see fewer than 10 patients only. Please update the business hours properly and clearly show what time the last appointment is. Damn frustrated.

Unprofessional or impatient mannered at front counter staff when registrations of queue number. The staff neglectful follow-up and just asked for waiting for call up without registered any patient information. Patient has to repeatedly reminding the staff and managed to registered queue no ticket.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point charge?

At a private GP clinic, a standard consultation typically runs S$25–60, with fees varying by complexity, duration, and whether investigations or medications are dispensed on the same visit. Common add-ons include a blood panel (S$60–200 depending on scope), a urine dipstick or swab (S$20–60), and prescription medications billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. Patients holding a CHAS card (Community Health Assist Scheme) may be entitled to subsidised rates at participating GP clinics — confirm whether AcuMed Medical participates in CHAS before your visit. For chronic disease follow-up under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), MediSave 500 or 700 per year can be used to offset outpatient costs at approved GP clinics. Any planned investigation or procedure should come with a clear cost breakdown in advance. See the full GP & 24-Hour Clinics cost guide for Singapore →

Is AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

No regulatory licences are recorded in this listing. Before your visit, you should independently confirm two things: first, that the clinic premises hold a current MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg; second, that the consulting doctor is on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. For a GP clinic, basic SMC registration is the core credential. Clinics participating in CHAS and the Chronic Disease Management Programme are additionally enrolled with the Ministry of Health — participation is listed on the MOH CHAS clinic directory. Neither the clinic licence nor the doctor's SMC entry is visible in this listing, so direct verification before booking is important. Verify the doctor's name on the Singapore Medical Council register and the clinic's MOH Healthcare Services Licence before booking, and for any planned procedure request a written financial counselling estimate that itemises insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at AcuMed Medical Jurong West Jurong Point?

For outpatient GP visits, MediSave can be used under the MediSave 500/700 withdrawal limits — S$500 per year for general outpatient conditions and S$700 per year for conditions listed under the Chronic Disease Management Programme (CDMP), which includes hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and selected mental health conditions. Confirm whether the clinic is an approved MediSave GP clinic before assuming this applies. Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally do not cover GP outpatient consultations — IP cover typically activates for specialist consultations, day surgery, and inpatient admissions. If you hold a CHAS card, subsidised rates at the clinic reduce your out-of-pocket cost directly. For any referral onward to a specialist or hospital, ask the GP for a referral letter, as this unlocks the lower subsidised rate at a public hospital Specialist Outpatient Clinic compared with a direct walk-in. Skipping pre-authorisation for any planned procedure is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill — request a written cost breakdown before proceeding.
