Clinic profits from their own mistake Visited for an injury. Doctor referred me to a specialist and asked me to return to collect the referral letter. Came back and there was no referral letter. Doctor told the receptionist I never asked for one. Had to come a third time, and surprise, during the consultation the doctor magically remembered. Yet they still registered me again and billed it as a “basic consultation.” So the doctor forgot, lied about it, then charged me for his own mistake. I’m on corporate insurance, but what about patients who aren’t? They’d be paying out of pocket for a visit that should never have happened.

I came to this clinic with flu, migraine, dizzi, and earache symptoms, after checking with Dr. C**a, 1 minute later I told the clinic staff that I forgot to tell the doctor that I'm breastfeeding mom, the clinic staff said, just go back into the doctor's room, I went into the room and politely told the doctor that maybe he could give me a safe medicine. I didn't expect doctor's reaction to make me stunned, he got angry at me and said "you have too many symptoms!! I'm just a doctor, I can't do magic for you, you know!! seriously I can't help you!! I can't help you!!" while shouting at me. This is the first time I've met a doctor whose attitude is this bad. and when I got home, he called me nicely, but I was no longer respectful, Besides being sick, I was a patient and a breastfeeding mother, where did I go wrong? he yelled at me because I'm breastfeeding mother and had many symptoms?So weird.

I would like to lodge a formal complaint regarding an unpleasant and unprofessional experience at Advanced Clinic & Surgery on 12 November 2025. During my visit, the receptionist (a female staff wearing spectacles) refused to process my medical card, despite my explanation that my insurance coverage is under my mother company’s insurance plan. She repeatedly insisted that my company name must appear in their system, even though I clarified that my company itself does not issue the insurance. I contacted the insurance company immediately, and they were willing to speak directly with the clinic to verify my coverage. However, the receptionist refused to answer their call and instructed me to step outside to make the call instead. When the insurance company later called the clinic directly to confirm the validity, she still rejected it, claiming she could not proceed because my company name was not listed in their system. Due to her refusal, I was denied medical service and had to seek treatment at another clinic. The second clinic accepted the same insurance card without any issue after verifying my details with the insurer. This incident caused unnecessary delay and stress while I was unwell, and reflects poor service ethics and a lack of basic understanding of insurance verification procedures. I hope MOH can review this matter to ensure that clinics uphold proper service and patient care standards, and do not deny treatment because of administrative misunderstandings.
