I visited this clinic for the very first time, and I had a really pleasant experience. The counter staff member, Roshaini, was incredibly helpful and welcoming from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. She was patient, attentive, and took the time to guide me through the entire process, which made everything feel very smooth and well-organized. Her warm attitude and professionalism truly stood out, and she made what could have been a stressful visit feel very calm and comfortable. Everything was handled efficiently, and I didn’t feel lost or confused at any point because she was always there to assist. Overall, it was a very peaceful, easy, and hassle-free visit, and a big part of that positive experience was thanks to Roshaini’s excellent service. I truly appreciate her kindness and dedication.

I’ve been trying to look around for ear syringing and I’m so thankful that this clinic does it. Weekends get busy, weekdays are still ok! Dr Brendan Yap was patient and did a good job at flushing out my stubborn ear wax. Definitely recommend this place.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience was truly disappointing and frustrating. Would I recommend this clinic? No. Will I ever come back? Also NO. Once is enough, I still visited 3 times, this is really a joke. During my first visit for health screening, the reception recommended upgrading to the premium package, which included cancer markers and ECG.I wasn’t informed that the ECG required additional time to complete, so they advised me to do it during my report review appointment since the results are immediate. On my second visit, I was told the ECG machine was faulty and they could not proceed. At the same time, I hv to do another review, so I double double double checked with the reception to confirm that I would be able to do the ECG on my third visit. They assured me yes. When I came for the third visit, Again taking leave to come down. I was told the ECG still could not be done. This is honestly unacceptable. So you expect customers to just keep taking leave and coming back ? 4 days for a medical check? Seriously ? On top of this, during my second visit, the hotline gave me the wrong expectations by telling me there were 2 doctors available, implying I wouldn’t need to reschedule even though I arrived late. I still ended up waiting until 2pm to be seen, and one of the staff was extremely poor in customer service, yet I still giving chance and didn’t even complain at that time. I’ve never given a business such a negative review, but this experience was truly disappointing. Poor communication, poor coordination, and inconvenience for customers. The clinic could have simply call to inform me in advance so I wouldn’t have wasted another trip and my leave days. I just gave up and requested a refund for the ECG test. Haih, it still cost me 3 days of leave just to complete a medical check, and not even a full check-up. After this whole experience, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. I’m done.

Front desk - operations streamlined. Well organised but lack of diversity. Admissions- recommend better planning to limit appointment and provide walk-in. This is a GP clinic not specialist so it shouldn’t be mainly for those who made appointment. No way to inform those who are sick and walk in. Recommend balance the ratio.and think about how better to indicate full house without wasting the trip. Doc Brendan is my doc and I am happy but I am contemplating to change if the above inconveniences persist.

WORST CLINIC experience ever. Came at 9am where clinic is Open officially, and was told that doctor will only come at 9.30am. Why bother stating your opening hours is 9am when doctor is not there? Then was told that as a walk in (even though am first person there), I would have to wait for extended amount of time as there are patients with appointments which Doc will see to first. This is just daft, people who fall sick cannot predict that they are falling sick - how are they able to make appointments?!?! If they only want to serve appointments then they should not advertise themselves as a GP! They have 4 staff but service is BEYOND SLOW AND TERRIBLE. The wait to get medication and make payment is just ridiculously slow, staff are just inefficient and ineffective. Service level needs supreme work. Wouldn't recommend anyone to come to this clinic if they are ill without an appointment! I should have checked Google reviews before coming, and fully agree with those 1 star reviews!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Advantage Medical Bukit Timah Guthrie House charge?

GP consultations at private clinics in Singapore typically run S$25–60 for a standard visit, though fees vary with the complexity of the consultation, the number of conditions reviewed, and investigations ordered on the day. Common add-ons include blood panels (S$60–200), urine or swab tests, vaccinations (S$30–80 depending on type), and prescribed medications — each billed separately from the consultation fee. GST applies on private medical services. For planned investigations or referrals, ask the front desk for an estimate before the consultation. If you have an Integrated Shield Plan, confirm whether this clinic is on your insurer's panel for cashless billing. For chronic conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme, MediSave withdrawal of up to S$700 per year per patient may apply — verify participation with the clinic directly. Is Advantage Medical Bukit Timah Guthrie House MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore must hold an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act — verifiable on the MOH licensee directory online. Every practising doctor must be on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg, where you can search by name to confirm registration status and any disciplinary history. No regulatory licences are currently on file with KakiList for this clinic. This does not necessarily mean the clinic is unlicensed, but it does mean patients should verify the MOH clinic licence and the named doctor's SMC registration directly before attending. Both can be checked online within minutes at no cost. For any planned procedure or specialist referral arranged through this clinic, confirm the referring doctor's SMC entry and, where relevant, specialist accreditation in the relevant branch before proceeding.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Advantage Medical Bukit Timah Guthrie House?

Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) layered on MediShield Life generally cover inpatient stays and day surgery at private hospitals, but outpatient GP visits are typically self-pay unless you have a rider that extends cover to outpatient consultations — check your policy schedule before assuming coverage. Some IP insurers maintain a panel of GP clinics for pre-hospitalisation and post-discharge outpatient claims; confirm whether this clinic is on your insurer's panel. MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment of CDMP-listed chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, asthma, COPD, stroke, and others) at registered CDMP providers, up to S$700 per patient per year. Standard acute consultations and vaccinations not covered under a specific scheme are generally payable in cash or by NETS or card at the point of service. For any planned procedure, request a written financial counselling estimate splitting insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before paying any deposit. Confirm CDMP participation and cashless-claim arrangements directly with the clinic at the front desk.
