We joined AU for a first time trip to Sri Lanka and had a great time. The itinerary was well planned out covering major sights and good amount of hiking activities. First trip with Adventures Unlimited on a 9 day trip to Sri Lanka. Unlike other package trips, this one included climbs, hikes, rides and walks which made it all the more interesting. Carene hosted this trip and she managed the group really well. We saw the mountains, plains, parks, falls, plantation, beach, city and the rural life. From the start, he was organised, attentive, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and motivated throughout the journey. His passion for adventure and genuine care for the group really stood out — he made the entire experience safe, smooth, and full of laughter. Gary’s knowledge of the trail and local area added great value to the hike, and he managed to balance challenge with fun perfectly. Even first-time hikers felt confident under his guidance. The team spirit he inspired made this trip more than just a hike — it felt like an adventure with friends. I was very touched by meticulous details such as able to drink coffee made by the tour guide and he offered to pay for using the baths. Another guide had offered to carry my bag. Had an amazing time hiking Gunung Angsi on 18 Oct with Melissa as our guide! 😊 She’s super friendly, always smiling, and took great care of the group throughout the hike. It was my first-ever hike and I wasn’t really prepared, but Melissa was so encouraging that I felt much more confident and comfortable. The hike was tough but totally worth it. The mountain atmosphere was beautiful and the weather was perfect! Met some lovely people in the group, and we all had such a fun time together. Melissa even took photos and videos of us along the way. It was a wonderful way to capture the memories of my first hike. The yummy Peranakan dinner after the hike was the perfect reward! Would love to go on another trip with her! Highly recommend! 👍
