Families typically begin by enquiring about level and syllabus fit — whether the focus is PSLE, DSA, secondary school admissions, or other assessments — and confirming whether the class format (group or one-to-one) suits the student's learning style. A trial class is a practical way to gauge pacing, teaching approach, and whether the material aligns with the student's current level before committing to a term. It is worth clarifying the term commitment structure, any materials or workbook fees, and whether sessions are conducted in person at the Holland Close centre or online.
To get started, reach out to AfterSkool Learning Centre via phone or the enquiry form to check available slots for your child's level, ask about a trial class, and confirm the term schedule and fees before enrolling.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
I got 10 /14 for my SW English weighted assessment 3. This was an improvement and my teacher in school praised me. My Geniebook teacher is very nice she just interacts with us. Her name is teacher Rose she explains the topics clearly and helps us with the areas we are not very good at.
We are very disappointed with the lack of response from the admin team. We submitted our son’s withdrawal form on 19 October 2025 via your form, along with a letter of appeal to convert his remaining Life Science lesson to Physical Science, but have not received any reply to date. Despite this, the school has continued to invoice us via early GIRO arrangement for both Life Science and Physical Science lessons this month (for Dec lessons). We hope the admin can be more responsive and responsible in handling such matters, especially when it concerns parents’ finances and children’s learning arrangements.
Overpriced & overated. This tuition centre wants free access to your bank account so that they can deduct money easily. They crash 6 1.5h lessons over 1 wk during the June holidays just to do worksheets. Would you pay $110 per 1.5h lesson for your child to do worksheets in the tuition centre, with 15-20min of marking & going through the papers? I certainly think paying a total of $660 for your child to sit there to do worksheets is unproductive & an absolute waste of money!
The teachers are very fun and engaging. They are very passionate in teaching the students. The teachers always give extra classes to improve our learning. This helped me get full marks for math!
afterskool is an excellent tuition centre with a very conducive environment to study. the teachers are very helpful and will specifically tailor lessons to help students. Hence, I believe that afterskool is the best tuition centre.

AfterSkool Learning Centre displays its pricing at the S$$ tier, indicating mid-range fees. Exact per-session or monthly package rates are best confirmed directly with the centre, as test preparation and admissions programmes are often structured by term or block rather than individual sessions. When enquiring, ask about the trial class fee, whether there are materials or workbook costs on top of tuition, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. Some centres charge a registration or enrolment fee at the start of a term. See the full test prep and admissions cost guide for Singapore →
Most reputable tuition and test prep centres in Singapore offer a trial class, sometimes at a reduced fee or as part of the first session. A trial is the most reliable way to assess whether the teaching pace, level of rigour, and classroom dynamic are a good fit for your child before you commit to a full term. During the trial, pay attention to how the tutor engages the student, whether the material matches the child's current school level, and whether the class size allows for sufficient individual attention. Bring along recent school papers or assessment results so the teacher can pitch the session appropriately. Contact AfterSkool Learning Centre directly via phone or the enquiry form to confirm their trial class policy and availability.
AfterSkool Learning Centre specialises in test preparation and admissions, a subject area where alignment with the current MOE syllabus and familiarity with PSLE or DSA formats is particularly important. Tutor credentials — such as an NIE or MOE teaching background, relevant degree discipline, and years of experience with the specific examination type — are meaningful indicators of quality. Publicly available information does not confirm the specific qualifications of AfterSkool's teaching staff. It is advisable to ask the centre directly about the lead tutor's background, how long they have been preparing students for this specific admissions pathway, and whether they update materials in line with MOE syllabus changes. The centre's 4.9 out of 5 rating across 612 Google reviews provides a strong signal of consistent student outcomes.
