Dr Ker Liang and her frontdesk staff are very professional and polite! Her bedside manners and reassuring manner in handling a low-pain-tolerant individual is superb. I just had a severely impacted earwax plug removed earlier today. Dr Ker was very reassuring and kept me informed at every stage of the removal process. The wax plug had completely blocked off the entire ear canal and the skin which it stuck to was inflammed. Dr Ker skillfully removed the plug bit by bit using a microvacuum and pick while intermittently applying the LA/Dissolving fluid as she went along. While it was very painful because the skin that the plug was attached to was raw, the pain was no fault of hers and i am sure the removal process would have been even more painful if i had seen another doctor. Given the amount of wax involved and the fact i used up a lot of the LA/Dissolving fluid, it was worth EVERY CENT of the couple hundred bucks i paid to get my hearing back, the pain gone and the 48hrs of non-stop tinnitis stopped! The Tropex i had bought from guardian yesterday did not work at all on such a large wax volume, and even worse was the irritating GP i saw at a nearby 24hr Clementi clinic over the weekend who only said "its just wax" before prescribing a useless bottle of Olivea Ear Drops (basically useless olive oil) which obviously is even less effective than Tropex (and i got billed sgd85 for that consult). So the difference between Dr Ker Liang's clinic and skill and that 24hr clinic's medical officer's skill is like day and night! I strongly recommend anyone to go and see Dr Ker if they have any ear blockage! Limpeh say 2 thumbs up! P.s. the attached picture shows only 50% of the broken-up wax plug (fingernail added for scale illustration) - the rest had already been microvacuum-sucked out earlier. Gross, but that's just to show how good Dr Ker is at getting something this big out of an ear at one shot. :)
