About Ahive Academy
Ahive Academy is a tuition centre serving students across Singapore, based at Bishan Street 13. The centre is KakiList verified and ACRA registered, and holds a 5-star rating across 139 Google reviews — a robust sample that lends reasonable weight to the score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the centre.
When reaching out to Ahive Academy, it helps to have your child's current school level and the specific subject or syllabus in mind — for instance, whether you are following the MOE syllabus, IGCSE, IB, or another curriculum. Enquire about whether the format is group tuition or one-to-one, the class size if group-based, and whether sessions are held in person at the Bishan centre or available online. Ask about term commitment expectations and whether a trial class is available before you commit to a package or full term. Materials fees, if any, are worth clarifying at the outset.
To get started, reach out to Ahive Academy via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form — details are available on their listing. Mention your child's level, subject, and preferred schedule so the team can advise on the most suitable class group or arrangement.
Take the trial class and confirm the tutor's actual credentials before committing to a term.
Before joining AA, my chemistry was around the B4 to C5 range. However after attending some of the lessons and completing the worksheets that were given, I eventually got an A2 for o level chemistry. The option of attending the lessons in person or online offers greater flexibility. You can also send any chemistry related questions you may have at any time.
Before I join AA, my grade for H2 chem was an E for my Mid-year exams. However, with many practice worksheets that Mr lye gave, i was able to have sufficient practice on the various questions. Moreover, I was also able to clarify my doubts during the consultations that I had with Mr Lye, which led me to have a better understanding on the concepts. Most importantly, the summaries that he collated for every chapter were also very helpful for quick revisions just before the exam. In the end, I was able to get a B grade during A levels, which I felt happy with. With all that being said, I would defnitiely recommend AA to others!
Mr Lye provided us with excellent resources, such as comprehensive notes, exam papers, and bite-size topical practices. He is also very approachable and is always willing to help clarify my doubts.
I had an S grade before Ahive. My final A Level grade was an A. Mr Lye helped me internalise & process the mechanisms behind organic chemistry reactions, and why they worked. My biggest takeaway was that organic chemistry was really not that difficult, as all I needed do was apply my fundamentals. I would recommend AA to others 💯🔥.
Before joining Ahive Academy(AA), my chemistry wasn't that strong. However, the lessons were very detailed, and Mr. Lye was a very patient teacher who always explained all the concepts clearly. Being at Ahive Academy not only helped me improve my chemistry but also made me genuinely enjoy the subject. I achieved an A in Chemistry for my A-Levels and I highly recommend AA to anyone who wants to improve in their chemistry.

Ahive Academy's specific per-session, monthly package, or term fee is not publicly listed, so you will need to contact them directly for a current fee schedule. As a general guide, tuition centre rates in Singapore typically range from S$30–60 per session for group classes and S$60–150 or more for one-to-one tuition, depending on the subject, level, and tutor experience. When enquiring, ask whether there is a separate registration fee, whether materials are charged additionally, and whether sibling or package discounts apply. Some centres charge a nominal fee for a trial class, while others offer the first session complimentary. See the full Tuition Centers cost guide for Singapore →
Many tuition centres in Singapore offer a trial class, either complimentary or at a reduced fee, before you commit to a full term or package. It is worth asking Ahive Academy directly whether this option is available and what the trial class fee, if any, would be. During the trial, observe whether the content is appropriately pitched to your child's level, whether the teaching style holds your child's attention, and how the tutor manages the pace of the class. A trial is also a good opportunity to assess class size and whether your child is comfortable in the environment. If a formal trial is not offered, ask whether you can sit in on a session or receive a short diagnostic assessment to confirm the level placement before signing up.
Tutor credentials are not listed publicly for Ahive Academy. When you contact the centre, it is reasonable to ask about the educational background of the tutors handling your child's subject — for example, whether they hold a relevant degree, have NIE or MOE teaching experience, or have specific training in the syllabus your child follows. For MOE-syllabus subjects, prior teaching experience in Singapore schools or familiarity with SEAB examination formats is particularly relevant. If your child is on an international curriculum such as IB or IGCSE, confirm that the tutor has direct experience with those assessment frameworks. If Ahive Academy is unable to provide this information upfront, treat that as a signal to probe further before committing to a term.
If Ahive Academy isn't the right fit, these are other tuition centers providers on KakiList worth shortlisting. All are independently listed — no affiliate fees, no "featured" sponsorships.
