About HAO Chinese Tuition

About HAO Chinese Tuition

HAO Chinese Tuition is a private Chinese language tuition provider serving families across Singapore on an islandwide basis. The listing is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, and it holds a perfect 5-out-of-5 rating across 321 Google reviews — a robust sample that lends meaningful weight to that score. Pricing is indicated at the mid-range tier ($$), though specific per-session or monthly package fees are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the provider.

Families looking to enrol should begin by enquiring about syllabus fit — whether the tuition aligns with the MOE primary, secondary, or pre-university Chinese curriculum, or supports Higher Chinese and dialect variants where relevant. It is worth clarifying whether lessons are conducted in a small group or one-to-one format, as this affects both pacing and price. HAO Chinese Tuition operates from a centre at 501 Balestier Road, Wai Wing Centre, though islandwide coverage suggests some flexibility may exist regarding lesson arrangements. Prospective students can ask about a trial class to assess level appropriateness and teaching approach before committing to a term. Parents should also confirm term-length commitment requirements and whether materials or workbooks carry an additional cost.

To take the next step, reach out to HAO Chinese Tuition via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form on their listing to ask about current availability, the applicable syllabus level, and trial class options.

My 2 girls are in Hao Chinese Tuition Centre since mid last year. Their chinese results are improving. The teachers are friendly, nice and passionate in teaching. They always update me on my daughter’s progression in class and how to help them improve better. Thumbs up to the teachers not just teaching but yet have alot of care and concern to every student. 👍🏼

I’m very happy to have my P4 and P6 children enrolled at HAO Chinese Tuition Centre. Both Zhao Lao Shi and Ci Lao Shi are very dedicated and always show genuine care for their students. They are patient, encouraging, and committed to helping each child improve and gain confidence in Chinese. My children enjoy their lessons and have made good progress under their guidance. I truly appreciate the teachers’ hard work and the supportive learning environment at HAO. Highly recommended!

I’m incredibly pleased with the progress my son has made since enrolling in this Chinese tuition centre. The teachers are patient, encouraging, and truly dedicated to helping each child build confidence in the language. Their lessons are well-structured, engaging, and tailored to different learning styles, which has made a huge difference for my son. The centre provides a warm and supportive environment, and the regular updates on his progress help us stay involved and aware of how he’s doing. I would highly recommend this centre to any parent looking for quality Chinese language support for their child!

I’ve been in this tuition centre for over a year now and I think I’ve improve. i went from D7 (Right before going to the tuition centre) on my first WA to B4 in my End-of-year exam (After about a year in the centre). I really like the teaching style here as the style is extremely interactive and engaging as someone who only started learning chinese at 7 I would usually find Chinese boring and would always hate my Chinese lessons but in this centre, some times I wouldn’t even realise how much time have passed. The teaching style is also very consistent regardless of the teachers here. The teachers are also extremely friendly and encouraging, but they will still correct you when you didn’t do homework or when they think you are not trying hard enough. Overall this tuition centre works for me and I recommend it especially for people that find Chinese boring.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does HAO Chinese Tuition charge per session?

HAO Chinese Tuition displays a mid-range pricing tier ($$), but specific per-session rates, monthly package fees, and term commitments are not publicly listed. For private Chinese tuition in Singapore, group class sessions typically range from S$30 to S$80 per session, while one-to-one tuition can run higher depending on the tutor's qualifications and the student's level. It is worth asking whether a trial class is available and whether there is a separate fee for that. Some providers include printed materials or workbooks in the fee, while others charge for these separately. Sibling discounts or block-booking packages may also be available — confirm these details directly before signing up for a term. See the full private tutors cost guide for Singapore →

Can I try a class before committing?

Many Chinese tuition providers in Singapore offer a trial class — either at a reduced fee or at the standard session rate — before parents commit to a full term. This is particularly useful for younger students, where engagement and rapport with the tutor can significantly affect progress. During a trial class, it is worth observing whether the pace suits the child's current level, whether the teaching style encourages active use of the language, and whether the materials align with the school syllabus being targeted. Parents should also use the session to ask the tutor about how they track progress and communicate feedback. Contact HAO Chinese Tuition via WhatsApp or phone to ask whether a trial class is available and what, if anything, it costs.

What are the tutor's credentials at HAO Chinese Tuition?

Specific tutor credentials, including NIE or MOE teaching backgrounds, university qualifications, or years of teaching experience, are not listed publicly for HAO Chinese Tuition. For Chinese language tuition, relevant qualifications to look for include a degree in Chinese Language, Linguistics, or Education, and familiarity with the MOE syllabus at the relevant level — primary PSLE Higher Chinese, O-Level, or A-Level Chinese. Parents are encouraged to ask directly about the assigned tutor's background, their experience with the specific examination syllabus, and how they approach students who are struggling with oral or written components. HAO Chinese Tuition can be reached via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to discuss these details before committing to a class.
