Ang Mo Kio Family Medicine Clinic is a general practice clinic located at Broadway Plaza, Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, serving patients across Singapore. The clinic is KakiList-verified, meaning operating details and contact channels have been confirmed by a real person. It holds a 4.0/5 rating across 70 Google reviews, a moderate sample that provides a reasonable indication of patient experience. For a first visit, patients typically walk in or call ahead to book a slot. A GP consultation covers acute illness, chronic disease management (hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, and other conditions covered under the Chronic Disease Management Programme), health screening, vaccinations, and referrals to specialist outpatient clinics where needed. Patients using a polyclinic or GP referral letter to a public hospital SOC benefit from subsidised rates; private GP consultations are generally S$25–60 before investigations and prescriptions. Integrated Shield Plan coverage and MediSave 500/700 outpatient limits apply depending on the clinical circumstance, and CDMP-eligible chronic conditions can be managed with MediSave co-payment at approved CDMP clinics.

Very disappointed with the two staff members at the counter. I brought my mum in for an appointment this morning. The air conditioner in the passageway in front of the counter was leaking water. The floor was wet and posed an imminent danger, especially to the scores of senior patients there. I saw an uncle informing the female staff. The staff responded by walking away, presumably to inform someone, after which she came back to her seat without addressing the issue. The male staff member had his seat right in front of the wet floor, he did nothing, at times he was looking at his mobile. I waited about 10 minutes, but no one came to attend to the issue. I placed a dustbin in the affected area so that no one would walk into the slippery floor. Another 10 minutes passed, and by then the water continued to drip, spreading to a larger area. The two staff members were completely oblivious to the situation and did nothing, even though patients were walking right up to the counter (the affected area) where the male staff member was. I went up to the male staff and suggested a cloth or something similar be placed on the floor. He then reached for the aircon controller and proceeded to switch off the aircon unit. He did nothing after that. The female staff stood up and attended to it. By this time, an attendant walked in and was told by the male staff to clean the affected area. The two staff members presented to me as : - a lack of initiative - poor attitude - lack of concern for the safety of the patients, the patients were 90% elderly, some with walking sticks and aids. I wish to put on record that I have always had very positive experiences with the rest of the staff and appreciate their patience and dedication. It was very unfortunate that the two younger staff members displayed the opposite.

Dear Parkway Shenton (Broadway Plaza) Team, I would like express my heartfelt appreciation and commendation for the exceptional service provided by the entire team at your clinic. My mother has been visiting your clinic for decades for her chronic health conditions. Every visit has consistently demonstrated the high standard of care, professionalism, and dedication your staff uphold. All the staff in the clinic — from the counter staff and pharmacists to the treatment room team — have been unfailingly friendly, caring, and patient. Their warm demeanour and willingness to help have made a meaningful difference to my family. I would like to extend my special thanks to the counter staff and pharmacists who have been diligently and patiently supporting my mother, who frequents the clinic to request additional medication due to her dementia. I had previously sought the clinic’s help to ensure she does not obtain unnecessary or excessive medication. Despite your clinic’s busy environment, the team has consistently gone above and beyond by contacting me each time to verify her requests. Their vigilance and compassion have given me tremendous peace of mind, and I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism. I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to my mother’s long-time physician, Dr. Sharon Ngoh. Over the years, Dr. Ngoh has shown unwavering care, patience, and professionalism in managing my mother’s health. Her thoughtful approach and genuine concern have been invaluable to us. Thank you for the outstanding care and the difference you make every day. Warm regards, May Chong

I recently visited Parkway Shenton Family Medicine Clinic for my yearly eye and foot screening, and I want to express my heartfelt thanks to the amazing nurses there. Despite my difficulty with walking, they were incredibly patient, kind, and attentive throughout the whole process. They took the time to give me detailed explanations about each step of the screening, making sure I was comfortable and well-informed. Their professionalism, compassion, and genuine care made a big difference in my experience. It's rare to come across healthcare staff who are not only skilled but also so thoughtful and supportive. Thank you again to the nursing team for your exceptional care — it truly means a lot.

The staff who draw blood in PWS Family Medicine Clinic are doing a fantastic job every morning and so early too. They are very competant and professional. I used to have bruising from blood tests and they have always done their best for me. I am thankful that in my last visit, there was no bruising

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Ang Mo Kio Family Medicine Clinic charge?

A GP consultation at a private family medicine clinic typically runs S$25–60, with follow-up visits at the lower end of that range for established patients. Investigations billed on top of the consultation include blood panels (S$60–200 depending on scope), urine tests, ECG, and X-rays where relevant. Vaccinations such as influenza or pneumococcal typically add S$30–80 per dose. Prescriptions are billed separately, and GST applies on private medical services. For planned health screening, packages range from S$150 for a basic Screen for Life-aligned panel to S$2,500+ for comprehensive executive screenings. Any planned procedure or investigation should be quoted with an itemised breakdown that separates insurance, MediSave, and out-of-pocket portions. Is Ang Mo Kio Family Medicine Clinic MOH-licensed and how do I verify the doctor?

Every legitimate clinic in Singapore holds an MOH Healthcare Services Licence issued under the Healthcare Services Act, verifiable on the MOH licensee directory at moh.gov.sg. Every practising doctor is listed on the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) public register at smc.gov.sg — search by name to confirm current registration status, any specialist accreditation, and disciplinary history. No licence details are currently on file for this listing, so patients are strongly encouraged to check both the MOH licensee directory and the SMC register before attending. Confirming these two registers takes under five minutes and is the most reliable way to establish that the clinic and the consulting doctor are fully authorised to practise. Neither the clinic licence nor the SMC entry alone is sufficient — both should be verified.

How do I use MediSave or insurance at Ang Mo Kio Family Medicine Clinic?

MediSave can be used for outpatient treatment at approved CDMP clinics covering conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidaemia, stroke, asthma, and COPD, with withdrawal limits of S$500 per year (general outpatient) or S$700 per year under the Chronic Disease Management Programme. Separate limits apply for outpatient cancer treatment (S$200–600), kidney dialysis, and selected scans. Confirm with the clinic whether it is a registered CDMP provider before assuming MediSave applies. Integrated Shield Plans layered on MediShield Life generally cover hospitalisation and day surgery rather than routine GP visits, though some riders extend coverage to outpatient specialist consultations. For any planned investigation or procedure, request an itemised estimate that clearly separates the insurance payout, MediSave deduction, and out-of-pocket portions before proceeding. Skipping this step is the most common reason patients are surprised by their final bill.
