About Angel Confinement Meals

About Angel Confinement Meals

Angel Confinement Meals is a confinement food catering service operating islandwide from its base at 151 Chin Swee Road. The listing has been verified by KakiList and is ACRA-registered; however, its Google rating of 2.4 out of 5 across 34 reviews is notably below the market average and warrants careful attention before booking. No regulatory licences — such as an SFA Food Shop or Catering Licence — are recorded on this listing, which is a material gap for a food-delivery service and should be clarified directly with the provider.

Most confinement food caterers offer a 28-day package as their core product, typically delivering two or three trays per day — lunch and dinner as standard, with breakfast available at some providers. Before committing to a full package, it is worth asking whether a trial meal or short 7-day package is available, as postpartum appetite and personal taste preferences vary considerably. Prospective customers should also confirm which dietary tradition the kitchen follows (Cantonese, Hokkien, Teochew, Western postnatal, halal, or vegetarian), whether herbal soups, red dates tea, and longan tea are included in the package price or billed separately, and what the delivery slots and packaging materials are.

To take the next step, contact Angel Confinement Meals via WhatsApp, phone, or the enquiry form to request a trial meal and ask for written confirmation of the SFA licence status, hygiene grade, and full package pricing before paying any deposit.

Ordered 14days essential confinement package and was pretty disappointed with the meal portions and taste. The food arrived is always cold despite was packed in warmer bag and I need to reheat each time. Delivery time are not consistent for lunch could be as early as 10.30am and dinner sometimes can be quite late. Portions wise are rather disappointing as somedays are really small as I only get like few pcs of pork slices and one spoon size of fish for the meal. food are very salty to my taste and the red date tea served are way too sweet. One good thing about them is their customer service is prompt and reply is always swift, provided feedback to them as they gave me wrong meal package on first few days and can see that they really made efforts to ensure my order is correct.

Avoid purchasing from this company!!! I ordered a 2 weeks Essential Confinement Meals (lunch and dinner) for my friend's confinement as a gift to her. Paid $898 and $180 deposit, + GST, totalling $1078. The food my friend received was terrible, and completely unsuitable for confinement. I also requested for no seafood (not recommended for healing wound) and no ginger (baby has jaundice) but this was not adhered to at all. Ginger was everywhere and there were small prawns in the noodles. There was rubbery roast duck, salted vege soup with mock meat, "Black chicken soup" ended up being clear water with a thick chicken feet inside. They did not serve black vinegar pigs trotter either as promised, nor the fermented red chicken. The menu on the website looks super nice and promising, but it cannot be further from that. That is not the worst thing! I was charged $180 for the reusable container, which they promised they will refund at the end of the 14 days upon return of the container. However, when I requested for the refund, they told me to fill up a "Refund Request Form", and said refunds processing time is 160-180 days. When asked why the refund will take so long, they merely replied that it is within the T&Cs. With no choice, I filled in the refund request form and found out that I was unable to send it to them because they had blocked me on Whatsapp! Please avoid this company at all costs. It is a huge scam!

I would advice those who want to order confinement meal from this company better to think carefully and consider twice before you placed your orders. This is the most horrible meals I ever had, I’m not a fussy person but this meals really turn me no appetite every day when I saw it on the dining table. - The meals they served are always the same and similar. - The daily soup they serve all taste the same no 药材味, it taste like salt and water only. - Dessert are always red bean soup or rice dumping in ginger soup (I asked my husband to eat for me the dessert for the 1st weeks he still ok 2nd weeks he eat until scare, now almost every day got to throw it away!) - Meals serve are cold (if you are like me house no microwave then you better choose to eat it cold or make yourself troublesome to steam it hot) - Lunch always come 1245pm -1pm and dinner always come 630pm - 7pm. If not it will deliver as early as 11:30am for lunch & 5:30pm for dinner. (But no matter what time they deliver the food are always cold) We decided to ordered this confinement meal was supposed to save time for cooking but instead of time saving, my mother have to come over every 2-3 days to cook for me now, otherwise my husband will ordered grab food for me and asked me to put aside the food wait for him to come back and eat (but he always say say only, he come home see the food on dining table he also won’t want to eat) I’ve ordered a 28 day meals package, on Day7 I’ve asked the customer service if I can change the package to 14 days because I really buay tahan with their menu but they reply me if I were to changed to 14 days, there will be no refund (during that time I only paid for the deposit so I’ve asked the CS if they can help to change the package to 14 days and I top up the balance but the request was rejected. To all mummies please think carefully before you placed your order with this cater company. *please take note on their Google reviews (hundreds over reviews but all customers that rated 5* only review for this company? 🤨)

Ordered 28day post surgery meal with 1 extra bento costing more than $1100. Expected better quality food. Even the cai fan stall sells better food. I was totally misled by all the 5 star reviews. Turned out this caterer is a 1star. Food delivered in plastic containers in a cooler bag. This is really bad for health and the environment. Started off with missing 2nd bento set on 2nd day and last 2 days missing 2nd drink. Most days its pork and pork rib soup with some random herbs and a lot of fatty bits floating on top. They don't always follow the menu published online. Mostly the dessert would be different. Huge portion of rice. Good if you like so much carbs. And capsicum almost daily. I threw away the pomegranate juice as it is actually guava syrup. For black rice, they mixed a bit of black rice with white rice. Its not full bowl of black rice like I expected. And on 1 occasion the oil used to cook the udon was rancid. Their dishes that come with meat usually had just a tiny bit of them. Please avoid this place.

Not the ideal confinement food Ive ever ordered before. The food standard is not consistent, it's like coffeshop economic rice stall and costs bout $5. And the amount of ingredients vs rice is disappointing. I'm not a construction worker tat needs a hugh chuck of rice with small portion of ingredients. The sender refused to knock on my door to inform delivery arrival. I have to keep on check if food is stupidly hanging at the gate without knocking or msg inform. In the end after 4th meal, my hubby demand refund and I ordered from Tian Wei again. Which u can see from the pics I've posted. Wat a big difference and Angel got the cheeks to charge high price for these lousy standard. The food is always cold. Everything in plastic. Not even thermal container used. Straws also can't even poke the plastic cup. Tian Wei use paper material for food packaging. Gave me thermal for drinks and soups. And soup is of good quality and quantity not like Angel giving me a small tub. How much effort they spend on their positive reviews?

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Angel Confinement Meals charge for a confinement food package?

Specific package pricing for Angel Confinement Meals is not publicly listed; contact them directly via WhatsApp or phone for a current quote. As a reference, the Singapore confinement food market typically prices a standard 28-day package at S$1,200–2,800, depending on the number of trays per day (usually two — lunch and dinner — or three with breakfast added) and whether herbal soups, red dates tea, longan tea, and confinement tonics are included or charged separately. Shorter 7-day or 14-day trial packages, where available, allow you to assess quality and suitability before committing to the full 28 days. Confirm whether there is a delivery surcharge for landed or non-central addresses. See the full confinement food cost guide for Singapore →

What dietary tradition does Angel Confinement Meals follow, and is there a trial meal?

Angel Confinement Meals has not published details of its culinary tradition on this listing. Singapore confinement food providers generally follow Cantonese (the most common — warming herbal soups, ginger, sesame oil, rice wine), Hokkien, Teochew, Western-style postnatal, halal, or vegetarian traditions. It is important to confirm which tradition the kitchen uses, whether the menu rotates daily or repeats weekly, and whether dishes can be adjusted for breastfeeding mothers who may need low-spice or alcohol-free options. Most reputable caterers offer a single-day trial meal at roughly S$30–60. This is strongly recommended before paying a package deposit, as personal taste and postpartum appetite are difficult to predict in advance. Ask Angel Confinement Meals directly whether a trial meal option is available.

Is Angel Confinement Meals licensed and how is food safety handled?

No regulatory licences — including an SFA Food Shop Licence or Catering Licence — are recorded on this listing. For any food-delivery service, an SFA licence with a hygiene grade (A being highest, then B, C, D) is a basic requirement, and its absence from the listing is a concern that should be resolved before booking. Halal-certified providers additionally hold a MUIS certificate, which should appear on packaging. Confinement meals should be cooked the same day and delivered hot in microwave-safe, BPA-free containers within approximately four hours of preparation. Confirm the twice-daily delivery slots, packaging type, and the substitute or refund policy if a delivery is missed. Order a trial meal and confirm the SFA hygiene grade (and MUIS halal certificate if relevant) before paying the package deposit.
