I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and wholehearted recommendation for Dr. Wang Lu Shun, Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mount Alvernia Hospital. I had the unfortunate experience of sustaining two significant injuries within a short span—first a wrist fracture in May, followed by a more serious heel fracture in July. On both occasions, I was treated at Mount Alvernia’s A&E department, where I was fortunate to be attended to by Dr. Wang. While the wrist fracture was relatively straightforward, the heel injury turned out to be a rare and potentially dangerous tongue-type fracture. Dr. Wang’s swift and accurate diagnosis was critical. He immediately recognized the severity of the injury and ordered urgent surgery to prevent complications such as skin necrosis, which could have led to far more serious consequences. I later learned that less experienced doctors might have opted for a simple cast, a decision that could have jeopardized my recovery. Following the surgery, I underwent months of physical therapy and regular follow-up consultations with Dr. Wang. Throughout this period, he consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, confidence, and compassion.
