I have been going to APAC Dental Centre and seeing Dr Kelvin Chye for more than a year, mostly regarding my Obstructive Sleep Apnea treatment via a nightguard. Each time I go, I am always treated well and staff are very obliging when it comes to answering questions, especially to someone as unsettled by any dental procedures as I am. Dr Chye is always ready with his 'chairside manner' and never fails to explain anything that he is working on with me. From explaining why certain areas hurt to comforting me and ensuring me that the procedure is just about done during a tough portion of it. In my most recent visit, front desk staff, Qistina, was more than happy to assuage my concerns about the upcoming wisdom tooth removal, and was open and honest about what patients go through. I appreciate her care and hospitality as I waited for my appointment. Also, a big shoutout to Dental Assistant, Zaidayu, who was right there with me during the wisdom tooth removal procedure. She was professional in carrying out her duties and also had the care to comfort and calm me down during the procedure. Overall, I appreciate the care and concern all staff of APAC Dental Centre. Whatever management is doing to hire these excellent people, keep it up!

I would like to share my feedback regarding the recent experience at your clinic. During my first visit, I was charged a consultation fee because I saw a different doctor ( Dr Michelle ) . When I asked about it, your staff explained that it is normal to charge a consultation fee when seeing a new doctor. I understood and accepted that. However, during my second visit, I requested to see the same doctor (Dr. Michelle) as before, yet I was told that because it had been a while since my last visit, I needed to pay the consultation fee again. This feels unfair and inconsistent. I also want to mention that I previously saw Dr. Chye , and I am truly grateful to have met such a wonderful doctor 💕— he helped me a lot. Unfortunately, the current level of service and unclear communication have left me quite disappointed. The issue is not the fee itself, but the lack of clear communication from your team. Different staff members give different answers each time, which shows a lack of professionalism. As someone who also works in the service industry, I truly understand the importance of clear and consistent communication. This experience has been disappointing, and I hope your clinic can review and improve the communication process with customers. ☹️

Back at my favourite dentist, Dr. Chye, who has been my dentist for many years, to get my decayed teeth fixed. He’s always professional and friendly, and even went the extra mile to prepare a night guard for me after learning that I grind my teeth while sleeping. The nurses are very friendly too, making every visit a pleasant experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Asia Pacific Dental Centre charge per session?

Dental fees in Singapore vary significantly by procedure. A standard consultation typically runs S$20–60, scaling and polishing S$80–150, fillings S$80–250 depending on material and size, tooth extractions S$80–350, and root canal treatment S$800–1,500 per tooth. Orthodontic treatment (braces or clear aligners) can range from S$3,500 to S$10,000 or more over the course of treatment. Asia Pacific Dental Centre uses a '$$' pricing indicator, suggesting mid-range positioning, but exact fees should be confirmed directly before any procedure. Most dental treatments are subject to GST. Medisave can be used for certain approved dental procedures such as surgical extractions and orthodontic treatment under specific schemes — confirm eligibility with the clinic. Corporate or insurance claims should also be verified against your policy's dental benefit cap before booking. See the full dental cost guide for Singapore →

Do I need a referral or assessment first?

No referral is required to book a first appointment at Asia Pacific Dental Centre — patients can contact the clinic directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. At the first visit you will typically complete a medical history intake form, as certain conditions (blood thinners, diabetes, heart conditions, bisphosphonate use) affect treatment planning and anaesthetic choices. For specialist dental services such as oral surgery, orthodontics, periodontics, or implantology, the general dentist may refer you to an in-house specialist or to an external specialist clinic. If you have a complex medical history or are attending for a specific concern, it is helpful to bring any recent X-rays or referral letters from your GP or specialist to avoid duplication of diagnostics.

Is the practitioner at Asia Pacific Dental Centre licensed?

All dentists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC), which sits under the Ministry of Health. You can verify any dentist's registration on the SDC public register at moh.gov.sg before your appointment. Specialist dentists — in areas such as orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, or prosthodontics — hold an additional specialist registration with the SDC. No specific licences have been provided in the current listing data for Asia Pacific Dental Centre. It is advisable to confirm the full name and SDC registration number of the dentist you will be seeing before attending, particularly if you are seeking specialist treatment. The clinic's location within Royal Square Medical Centre, a licensed medical facility, is a contextual indicator but does not substitute for individual practitioner verification.
