Patients typically begin by contacting the clinic via WhatsApp, phone, or the online enquiry form to describe their presenting concern — whether a routine check-up and scaling, a specific dental issue, or a cosmetic treatment goal. At the first consultation, the dentist will carry out an examination, discuss findings, and outline a treatment plan with associated costs before any procedure proceeds. It is worth confirming the scope of the consultation fee upfront, and asking whether X-rays, treatment, or follow-up appointments are billed separately.

I have been going to APAC Dental Centre and seeing Dr Kelvin Chye for more than a year, mostly regarding my Obstructive Sleep Apnea treatment via a nightguard. Each time I go, I am always treated well and staff are very obliging when it comes to answering questions, especially to someone as unsettled by any dental procedures as I am. Dr Chye is always ready with his 'chairside manner' and never fails to explain anything that he is working on with me. From explaining why certain areas hurt to comforting me and ensuring me that the procedure is just about done during a tough portion of it. In my most recent visit, front desk staff, Qistina, was more than happy to assuage my concerns about the upcoming wisdom tooth removal, and was open and honest about what patients go through. I appreciate her care and hospitality as I waited for my appointment. Also, a big shoutout to Dental Assistant, Zaidayu, who was right there with me during the wisdom tooth removal procedure. She was professional in carrying out her duties and also had the care to comfort and calm me down during the procedure. Overall, I appreciate the care and concern all staff of APAC Dental Centre. Whatever management is doing to hire these excellent people, keep it up!
During the whole cleaning treatment Dr Michelle was friendly and professional, I also inquired about braces she was explaining it patiently ,will definitely stick to Dr Michelle if I want to visit for the next time;)
I would like to share my feedback regarding the recent experience at your clinic. During my first visit, I was charged a consultation fee because I saw a different doctor ( Dr Michelle ) . When I asked about it, your staff explained that it is normal to charge a consultation fee when seeing a new doctor. I understood and accepted that. However, during my second visit, I requested to see the same doctor (Dr. Michelle) as before, yet I was told that because it had been a while since my last visit, I needed to pay the consultation fee again. This feels unfair and inconsistent. I also want to mention that I previously saw Dr. Chye , and I am truly grateful to have met such a wonderful doctor 💕— he helped me a lot. Unfortunately, the current level of service and unclear communication have left me quite disappointed. The issue is not the fee itself, but the lack of clear communication from your team. Different staff members give different answers each time, which shows a lack of professionalism. As someone who also works in the service industry, I truly understand the importance of clear and consistent communication. This experience has been disappointing, and I hope your clinic can review and improve the communication process with customers. ☹️
Back at my favourite dentist, Dr. Chye, who has been my dentist for many years, to get my decayed teeth fixed. He’s always professional and friendly, and even went the extra mile to prepare a night guard for me after learning that I grind my teeth while sleeping. The nurses are very friendly too, making every visit a pleasant experience.
Made a last minute appointment due to wisdom tooth problems, the doctors and staff were very accommodating and provided such a wonderful experience. Very kind, gentle and friendly. Procedure was quick, efficient and pain-free! Definitely recommend coming here! Thank you Dr Michelle!

Dental fees in Singapore vary considerably by treatment type. A standard consultation typically runs S$30–80, scaling and polishing S$80–150, a single tooth extraction S$80–300 (more for surgical extractions), composite fillings S$150–300 per tooth, and root canal treatment S$800–1,500 per tooth. Cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening (S$400–900) and veneers (S$800–1,800 per tooth) sit at the higher end. GST applies to dental procedures. Asia Pacific Dental Centre (East Coast) displays a '$$' price indicator, suggesting mid-range positioning. Confirm the consultation fee, the cost of any anticipated treatment, and the payment and cancellation policy before booking. Ask whether Medisave can be used — it applies to certain surgical dental procedures such as wisdom tooth surgery and some implant components. See the full dental cost guide for Singapore →
No referral is needed for a general dental consultation — you can book directly via WhatsApp, phone, or the online form. At the first visit, the dentist will typically carry out a clinical examination and may take X-rays to assess teeth, gums, and jaw structure before recommending a treatment plan. If you have a specific concern — tooth pain, gum bleeding, a broken restoration, or a cosmetic goal — it helps to describe this when booking so the clinic can allocate sufficient appointment time. Patients with complex medical histories (blood thinners, diabetes, bisphosphonate use, heart conditions requiring antibiotic prophylaxis) should mention these when booking, as the dentist may need to liaise with your GP before proceeding with certain procedures. A GP referral is not required but can be useful if you intend to claim from an integrated shield plan or employer dental benefit — check your insurer's requirements in advance.
In Singapore, all practising dentists must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC), which is the statutory board under the Ministry of Health. You can verify any dentist's registration on the SDC's public register at hprof.gov.sg — search by name to confirm registration status and any conditions or suspensions. Asia Pacific Dental Centre (East Coast) does not currently list regulatory licences in its KakiList profile. Before your appointment, it is straightforward to ask the clinic for the name of the consulting dentist and verify their SDC registration independently. Specialist dentists — in orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, or paediatric dentistry — hold additional specialist registration, also verifiable on the SDC register. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the SDC public register before treatment.
