Somewhat overdue review with high praise and compliments for senior consultant urologist Dr Nor Azhari and his staff at both the Mt Elizabeth and Mt Alvernia clinics. I had my surgery done with great clinical results. Dr Azhari has terrific bedside manners with his calm demeanour and thoughtfulness, which made the experience comfortable and complications free. I had originally been referred to a restructured hospital specialist clinic but the earliest appointment took two weeks, and after obtaining the lab reports, learnt from the registrar that I had to wait three months (November 2024 to February 2025) for my first consultation with the urologist, and expect surgery at the earliest to be after that due to the long waitlist. I checked online for a surgeon whose credentials met my needs, found Dr Azhari, made the appointment, walked over with the full lab results. Within a fortnight, I had my surgery done and recovered in the following two weeks. I am hugely thankful to Dr Azhari and his staff, and those who attended to me at Mt Alvernia Hospital as well. It was not so much about getting surgery done quickly but the complete lack of empathy to my situation at the restructured hospital due to their backlog situation at urology, and that nothing could be done except for me to seek private medical care at my own personal expense elsewhere. Ultimately, great clinical results with no complications is what matters and that is what patients should seek out, and not simply look for available slots only. Without any hesitation, I would recommend Dr Azhari highly based on this experience.

Staff at both Mt Alvernia and Mount Elizabeth were helpful and friendly, speaking as a person coming from a hospitality background, they were exemplary. They made the whole process of my operation from the day of consultation to the follow ups for the post-op smooth and stress free. I didn’t get her name, but kudos to the staff that assisted me with my LOG, saved me and my wallet from a world of pain. Special shoutout to Dr Azhari, I had my doubts going into the operation, but he was able to give me more insight and this subsequently provided me with the confidence to go ahead, he did a superb job too, no complications, no regrets at all. 👍🏻👍🏻

If I could leave a zero trust I definitely would. From the get go of booking an appointment, making an appointment, consulting the doctor, everything was horrible. Nurses don’t know what they are doing, doctors were condescending, made appt only to go down and realise it’s not booked.. utterly the worst
