Families typically begin by contacting Assisi Hospice to request a care assessment, during which a coordinator will discuss the patient's mobility, medical diagnoses, pain management needs, and level of daily-living support required. From there, the team can advise on the most appropriate level of care — whether inpatient palliative admission, day hospice attendance, or home palliative care visits. Family decision-makers are encouraged to join these early conversations, as care planning for end-of-life or serious illness involves medical, emotional, and logistical considerations across the household. A trial or introductory period may be arranged depending on the service pathway chosen.
To start the process, contact Assisi Hospice directly by phone or through the enquiry form on their website to arrange an initial care assessment.
Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
My late dad and I were received on 3 July 2025 by the caring team at St Elizabeth Ward — Dr Low, Dr Melvin Ng, Social Worker Ms Victoria, Pastoral Care Ms Yvonne, and Nurses Catherine M and Susan. From the start, we felt supported and reassured. After transitioning from Parkway East Hospital to Assisi Hospice, my dad settled in well. As I visited him almost daily, I witnessed the compassion, patience, and kindness shown by the doctors and nurses to patients facing end-of-life care. Knowing my dad was well taken care of in his final days gave our family great comfort. Dr Chua and Nurse Manager May Aung provided regular updates on his condition (COPD), which helped us feel reassured throughout. In the early morning of 18 September 2025, when my dad’s condition became critical, the night-shift nurses — Nurse Lai Siang, Nurse Mai Aye, and Nurse Sheenae — were calm, gentle, and very supportive. My dad passed peacefully around 8am. Nurse Audrey showed great respect and sensitivity, guiding us and also allowing us time to grieve and make funeral arrangements. We are deeply grateful to Assisi Hospice and the St Elizabeth Ward team for the care, dignity, and comfort given to my dad in the final chapter of his journey. Thank you for the meaningful work you do for patients and families. Yours faithfully, Eunice (Daughter of Late Mr Goh Chor Hwa)
It's a very welcoming place at the lobby. Staff are very friendly and warm. They are very respectful to patients and their families. There is a sense of belonging the moment you enter. The place is always clean and peaceful. As a patient, it really change my perspective of daycare from very rigid into a serenity place. I enjoy every second of my days there. It has various activities for me to enjoy and forget ABT my diseases. Thank you Assisi.
Dear Dr Daniel Lim / Dr Adrian Ng / Nurse Genevieve Yeo My family and i want to extend our deepest gratitude to each of you for the compassionate care and support you provided to our beloved mother throughout her last journey. Your kindness, patience, and professionalism brought comfort not only to her, but to our entire family during an incredibly difficult time. Though words can never fully express our appreciation, please know that your efforts made a meaningful difference. We will always remember the care and compassion you showed her. With sincere thanks, Ang Family of belated mother Tan Ngee Chiang
I can’t begin to express the depth of my gratitude for the incredible care provided by the nurses at Assisi Hospice. From the time my father (James @ Bed 314, St Clare Ward) was admitted in March, each nurse has showed not only professionalism and skill but also genuine compassion and warmth that has made all the difference for his stay thus far. The nurses at ST CLARE WARD, Dr Caroline Lim, and Ms Sandra are attentive to every need, always ready with a reassuring word, a gentle smile & nod, or a calming presence. It is clear that nursing is more than just a job to these wonderful nurses — it’s a calling. They listen, they care, and they treat every patient with the dignity and respect they deserve. These lovely nurses are steady, kind, and unwavering. My brother and I trust them wholeheartedly. Thank you to each and every one of you at ST CLARE WARD for your dedication, patience, and heart. You are truly the unsung heroes! The world is a better place because of nurses like you. Namely in alphabetical order: ANNA & AUBREY CHERMAINE & CORDELIA ESTHER & GERALDINE JASPER, JEFFERSON & JOY KRISTINE, LEE HUA & LYNN MARYLIEN & MEI LUAN PREMA & ROSELIND SAN WIN & STEPHANIE THANDAR & VARLA YONG XIA Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
Care staff for in-patient wards are gems - caring, go the extra mile and responsive to patients’ needs. However, the attitude of the cleaning staff at the dining hall (18/6/2025, 10.33am at Level 3) can be better/improved. I just put a patient’s breakfast tray on the counter as the patient ate his breakfast late and the ward trolley was already kept by the staff. There is no need for her to “throw” the blue plastic cup onto the sink top where I was washing my hands. Atrocious attitude and I don’t know if service training will be of any use for her 🤔

Assisi Hospice's fees depend on the level and type of care required — inpatient palliative admission, day hospice, or home palliative care visits each carry different cost structures. Publicly available pricing was not confirmed at the time of this listing, so families should contact the hospice directly for a detailed breakdown. For context, Singapore palliative care providers typically charge on a daily or per-visit basis, and means-tested subsidies are available to eligible patients through MOH and AIC. Confirm whether a live-in or visit-based arrangement is appropriate and get the full fee schedule, including any public holiday or after-hours surcharges, in writing before committing. Assisi Hospice provides multiple care pathways: inpatient admission (24-hour residential palliative care), day hospice (structured daytime programme for patients living at home), and home palliative care visits by a multidisciplinary team. The appropriate pathway depends on the patient's clinical condition, carer capacity at home, and family preferences. For home-based care, visits are typically scheduled at a frequency matched to medical need. Inpatient admission suits patients requiring round-the-clock symptom management or where home carer support is insufficient. Families should discuss the transition between care settings with the care coordinator, as a patient's needs may shift over the course of their illness. A formal review can be requested if the current arrangement is no longer suitable.
Assisi Hospice is a specialist palliative care provider operating with a multidisciplinary team that typically includes doctors, nurses, medical social workers, and allied health professionals. Staff providing clinical care are expected to hold the relevant nursing or allied health qualifications regulated under AHPC or SMC, depending on their role. No specific regulatory licences were listed in this provider's KakiList record at the time of publication — families are advised to confirm AIC or MOH registration directly with the hospice before entering into a care arrangement. Ask specifically about professional indemnity and liability coverage, and confirm the supervision and escalation protocols for home visits, particularly for patients with complex symptom needs.
