About Assisi Hospice

About Assisi Hospice

Assisi Hospice is a nursing home and palliative care provider located at 832 Thomson Road, Singapore 574627, serving patients islandwide. It is KakiList-verified and ACRA-registered, with a Google rating of 4.5 out of 5 across 86 reviews — a moderate sample that provides a reasonable indication of service quality. Pricing is positioned in the mid-range ($$), though specific fee schedules are not publicly listed and should be confirmed directly with the admissions team.

Families considering Assisi Hospice would typically begin with a care assessment to determine the patient's mobility, medical, and palliative needs. Hospice and nursing home placements require clarity on the level of care required — whether that is pain management, end-of-life palliative care, or longer-term nursing support — as well as the hours and intensity of professional involvement. As this is a residential facility, a conversation with the care team about the admission process, available wards or rooms, and the involvement of family members in the care plan is strongly advisable before proceeding. Financial counselling on means-tested subsidies and MediShield Life coverage is typically offered as part of the intake process.

To take the next step, contact Assisi Hospice directly by phone or via the enquiry form to arrange a care consultation and discuss current admission availability.

My late dad and I were received on 3 July 2025 by the caring team at St Elizabeth Ward — Dr Low, Dr Melvin Ng, Social Worker Ms Victoria, Pastoral Care Ms Yvonne, and Nurses Catherine M and Susan. From the start, we felt supported and reassured. After transitioning from Parkway East Hospital to Assisi Hospice, my dad settled in well. As I visited him almost daily, I witnessed the compassion, patience, and kindness shown by the doctors and nurses to patients facing end-of-life care. Knowing my dad was well taken care of in his final days gave our family great comfort. Dr Chua and Nurse Manager May Aung provided regular updates on his condition (COPD), which helped us feel reassured throughout. In the early morning of 18 September 2025, when my dad’s condition became critical, the night-shift nurses — Nurse Lai Siang, Nurse Mai Aye, and Nurse Sheenae — were calm, gentle, and very supportive. My dad passed peacefully around 8am. Nurse Audrey showed great respect and sensitivity, guiding us and also allowing us time to grieve and make funeral arrangements. We are deeply grateful to Assisi Hospice and the St Elizabeth Ward team for the care, dignity, and comfort given to my dad in the final chapter of his journey. Thank you for the meaningful work you do for patients and families. Yours faithfully, Eunice (Daughter of Late Mr Goh Chor Hwa)

It's a very welcoming place at the lobby. Staff are very friendly and warm. They are very respectful to patients and their families. There is a sense of belonging the moment you enter. The place is always clean and peaceful. As a patient, it really change my perspective of daycare from very rigid into a serenity place. I enjoy every second of my days there. It has various activities for me to enjoy and forget ABT my diseases. Thank you Assisi.

I can’t begin to express the depth of my gratitude for the incredible care provided by the nurses at Assisi Hospice. From the time my father (James @ Bed 314, St Clare Ward) was admitted in March, each nurse has showed not only professionalism and skill but also genuine compassion and warmth that has made all the difference for his stay thus far. The nurses at ST CLARE WARD, Dr Caroline Lim, and Ms Sandra are attentive to every need, always ready with a reassuring word, a gentle smile & nod, or a calming presence. It is clear that nursing is more than just a job to these wonderful nurses — it’s a calling. They listen, they care, and they treat every patient with the dignity and respect they deserve. These lovely nurses are steady, kind, and unwavering. My brother and I trust them wholeheartedly. Thank you to each and every one of you at ST CLARE WARD for your dedication, patience, and heart. You are truly the unsung heroes! The world is a better place because of nurses like you. Namely in alphabetical order: ANNA & AUBREY CHERMAINE & CORDELIA ESTHER & GERALDINE JASPER, JEFFERSON & JOY KRISTINE, LEE HUA & LYNN MARYLIEN & MEI LUAN PREMA & ROSELIND SAN WIN & STEPHANIE THANDAR & VARLA YONG XIA Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!

Care staff for in-patient wards are gems - caring, go the extra mile and responsive to patients’ needs. However, the attitude of the cleaning staff at the dining hall (18/6/2025, 10.33am at Level 3) can be better/improved. I just put a patient’s breakfast tray on the counter as the patient ate his breakfast late and the ward trolley was already kept by the staff. There is no need for her to “throw” the blue plastic cup onto the sink top where I was washing my hands. Atrocious attitude and I don’t know if service training will be of any use for her 🤔

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Assisi Hospice charge?

Assisi Hospice does not publicly list a fixed fee schedule, as nursing home and palliative care fees in Singapore are means-tested and vary based on the patient's assessed income, care needs, and ward class (A, B1, B2, or C). At MOH-licensed nursing homes, daily rates for subsidised wards typically range from S$50 to S$170 per day after government subsidies, while unsubsidised rates are substantially higher. Additional costs to confirm include consumables, therapy sessions, medication, and any specialist palliative services. Families should also ask whether MediShield Life, ElderShield or CareShield Life, and MediFund (for those who qualify) can be applied to offset costs. Contact Assisi Hospice directly for a personalised fee assessment. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →

Live-in or visit-based — which does Assisi Hospice offer?

Assisi Hospice operates as a residential nursing home and hospice facility, meaning care is delivered on a live-in, inpatient basis rather than through community visit services. Patients are admitted for round-the-clock nursing and palliative care, with medical and allied health professionals present on-site. For families exploring whether inpatient admission is appropriate versus home palliative care, Assisi Hospice's care team can advise on which setting best matches the patient's clinical condition and the family's capacity to provide home support. A trial or short-term admission may be possible depending on availability — enquire directly to confirm current options and the admission process.

Is the care team trained and insured?

Nursing homes and hospice facilities in Singapore are regulated by the Ministry of Health (MOH), and clinical staff — including registered nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals such as physiotherapists and medical social workers — must hold valid registration with their respective professional boards (Singapore Nursing Board, Singapore Medical Council, Allied Health Professions Council). However, Assisi Hospice has not listed specific regulatory licences on this KakiList profile. Families should request confirmation of MOH licensing and AIC registration directly from the admissions team before proceeding. Professional indemnity and institutional insurance are standard requirements for licensed nursing home operators in Singapore, but the specific coverage scope should be clarified during the care consultation.
