Engaging a caregiver typically begins with a care assessment to understand the elder's mobility, medical needs, and daily living requirements. Families should clarify whether they need personal care, nursing support, or companionship, and whether a visit-based arrangement or longer-hour coverage is more appropriate. It is worth discussing the caregiver's experience with specific conditions — such as dementia, post-stroke rehabilitation, or palliative care — and confirming whether the same caregiver will attend consistently. Establishing a clear care plan, including hours, scope of duties, and escalation procedures for medical incidents, helps avoid misunderstandings.
To take the next step, reach out to Assist Care Nursing And Services via WhatsApp or phone to describe the care situation and request a care assessment, proposed care plan, and written quotation before committing to any arrangement.

Update: After speaking with Ms Ling, we have been able to settle the partial refund issue. Much appreciation to Farhan, who has taken it onto himself to help with the customer chat service and explain the situation, and for putting me in touch with Ms Ling. My only other feedback is for the agency to improve communications with the client, or provide more updated timelines if they can. This updated review and rating is now purely based on the nursing services rendered. I do highly recommend Assist Care Nursing, especially if you need urgent nursing or palliative care. I reached out to Assist Care Nursing on the 12th of April to seek urgent help with my late father's palliative stay at home, as NUH was rushing to discharge him and I was unable to arrange for additional help in time. Ms Ling was prompt in replying back, and was very in-depth in asking questions and checking what was needed to arrange for my father's care. A nurse roster and schedule was quickly arranged, and the charges are also broken down clearly. Throughout my father's care, the various nurses (Omedar, Moe, Thin, and Soorya) made his final days as comfortable as possible. Besides nursing and administrating medication, they also kept him company, spoke to him, groomed him, and Omedar (the only male nurse in the roster) was kind enough to help with showering him. A big thank you to the nurses and Ms Ling for answering the call and overseeing a patient's final journey to the end.
I was very worried no one takes care of my father when my maid suddenly return home. Through a friend recommendation, I got to know Assist Care Nursing Service. The planner Ling was very patience and listened to our problems. She immediately send over Meena who was very professional and helpful. I am so thankful that I had contacted them.
We had a great experience with Assist Care. Ling was so quick & helpful. In spite of her being on holiday, she got back to me quickly, & with a list of nurses for a week. Nurses she sent were very good, experienced, kind & caring . Ling was also quick to return money when we had to cancel the nurses when my mum passed on. Very efficient. I would definitely recommend this company if required in future, they will be the first I will call. I had other companies before I called her, non were so quick & helpful. Thank you so much for your help when my family were all so tired & desperate for help on my mum’s last days . God bless all of you Gloria Teo & family
Assist Care provided nursing services for my father in May 2023. It had been a delightful experience from the first phone I made to enquire about their services. My questions were answered clearly, and arrangements very promptly made for nurse rosters. Nurses who attended to my father took their work very professionally and were gentle and caring in attending to my bedridden father. They interacted and communicate with my mother and the family patiently and compassionately, and were punctual in reporting to work. Ling rendered assistance & professional advice promptly over the days we needed help (eg with oxygen dispenser). We are grateful for the attentive care given to my father, and Assist Care helped ease our final journey with my father.
Ling was truly a lifesaver. My grandmother required very immediate and sudden care and Assist Care Nursing was able to provide that. Thank you for your patience, understanding, responsiveness and for providing services and support. The nurses that were sent to look after my grandmother (Jennifer and Priyanka), took great care of my grandmother and supported her with her daily activities and her physio exercises. Would definitely recommend them!

In the Singapore market, hourly home care rates typically range from S$20–35/hour for personal care aides and S$35–70/hour for trained nurses. Live-in arrangements vary widely depending on whether the caregiver is a local professional or a foreign domestic worker on a separate employment structure. Ask for a written breakdown before agreeing to any arrangement. See the full eldercare cost guide for Singapore →
The listing does not specify whether Assist Care Nursing And Services provides visit-based care, full-day or extended-hour coverage, or live-in arrangements. When enquiring, describe the elder's daily routine and medical needs so the provider can recommend the most suitable care model. For visit-based care, confirm the minimum hours per visit, frequency of visits, and whether the same caregiver attends each time — consistency is important for elders with cognitive decline or dementia. Ask about the trial period and the replacement policy if the assigned caregiver is not a good fit for the household. For longer-hour or live-in arrangements, clarify the scope of duties, sleeping arrangements, and rest-day expectations before signing any agreement.
No regulatory licences were listed for Assist Care Nursing And Services at the time of publication. For peace of mind, ask the provider directly whether caregivers hold formal certifications — such as the WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or equivalent — and whether any nursing staff are registered with the Singapore Nursing Board. For providers handling clinical tasks such as wound care, tube feeding, or medication administration, AIC registration or MOH licensing is relevant and worth confirming. Also ask whether the provider carries insurance covering caregiver injury on duty and liability for incidents involving the care recipient. Insist on a trial period and put the care plan, hours, and rate in writing.
