About B9 Dental Centre (HDB Hub Toa Payoh)

B9 Dental Centre (HDB Hub Toa Payoh) is a dental clinic located at HDB Hub in Toa Payoh, serving patients across Singapore. It has been verified by KakiList, meaning a real person has confirmed its operating details and contact channel. With 303 Google reviews, the sample is robust, though a rating of 3.1 out of 5 is below the average for dental practices in Singapore and warrants attention before booking.

Patients typically begin by calling ahead or submitting an enquiry form to confirm appointment availability, as dental clinics at shopping and commercial hubs can have variable wait times. At the first consultation, the dentist will carry out an oral examination, note any presenting concerns — such as pain, sensitivity, gum issues, or a desire for routine scaling and polishing — and outline a treatment plan with associated costs. Confirm whether the clinic accepts CHAS, MediSave for eligible procedures, or corporate dental insurance before your visit, as coverage varies by plan and procedure type.

To take the next step, call B9 Dental Centre (HDB Hub Toa Payoh) on their listed phone number or submit an enquiry through the contact form to schedule a consultation.

Dr Kim Ki Lim is the worst dentist I’ve ever had in Singapore or malaysia. I regularly go to B9 and because Dr Zhang Ruoxi was on leave I was attended to by Dr Kim. He used excessive force whilst cleaning my teeth, and even when I shirked away 4 times because it was so painful, he didn’t care and just continued trying to finish the cleaning ASAP. He caused more damage to my gums than benefits from the cleaning. Absolutely regret letting him touch my teeth. Thankfully I have experiences with so many different dentists to know that Dr Kim’s service is absolutely not acceptable and even harmful to my gums. NEVER let him touch your teeth.

Brought a friend to this dental clinic recently because she needed to extract a tooth due to pain. We made advanced appointment with the reception but when we got in there, no one at the front counter. Filled up the form and waited for the longest time. Appointment made at 12.30pm, filled in the form, told us to get seated. Other patients came and went in ahead of us even though our appointment was earlier. Waited close to 2 hours before the dentist could see us. Is there something inefficient with the appointment taking system? Or bad organisation? Let’s not talk about the dentist because what greeted us was bad service, inefficient management and no customer service. Please do not go. There are many others that are way better. If I can give a zero star rating, I will. 1-star rating is just too generous. Think twice before making the appointment.

UNWILLING TO ASSIST IN DENTAL ISSUE I went for a consult regarding a sensitive hairline crack pre-molar tooth with the filling gone & was told by Dr Magnus Kaung that he will not do the re-filling as it would cause it to crack further should pressure be applied on it. Although I requested for it & was aware of the possible consequences but he still refused to do it. He said I should seek another dentist as he was unwilling to do it. So I requested for just a cleaning which was poorly done. By the way, the subsequent dentist which I visited did re-fill my crack & noted that it might be a gum problem as the cracked tooth wasn’t sensitive!👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

The waiting time at this clinic is appalling. My appointment was scheduled for 3:30pm, yet the receptionist claimed it was at 4pm. Regardless, I was left waiting an outrageous 2.5–3 hours before being seen. This lack of respect for patients’ time is unprofessional and unethical. Because of this delay, I even had to miss an important client appointment. Every visit ends up the same—with excessive waiting A reputable clinic should never treat patients’ time so carelessly.

Terrible experience!! Almost all the gum area at the sides of each tooth were bleeding after the scaling and polishing procedure. I can't recall the dentist's name but he was Indian. Would not recommend this clinic at all. Made an appointment but had to wait 1-2 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does B9 Dental Centre (HDB Hub Toa Payoh) charge per session?

Dental fees in Singapore vary considerably by procedure. A standard consultation runs roughly S$30–60, routine scaling and polishing S$80–150, tooth extraction S$80–300 (surgical extractions higher), a basic filling S$80–200, and root canal treatment S$600–1,500 per tooth. Crowns and implants sit in the S$1,500–4,000+ range per unit. GST applies to all dental procedures. Ask whether the clinic accepts CHAS subsidies (for eligible Singapore Citizens and PRs) or MediSave for applicable procedures such as surgical extractions. Do I need a referral or assessment first?

Most dental clinics, including general practices, accept walk-in or self-referred patients without a GP referral. You can book directly by phone or through the enquiry form. For specialist dental treatment — orthodontics, oral surgery, periodontics, or prosthodontics — a referral from a general dentist to a registered specialist is standard practice and may be required by your insurer for claims. At the first visit, expect a clinical examination, dental X-rays where indicated, and a discussion of findings and options. Bring your NRIC or insurance card, and note any medications you are taking, as some affect treatment choices. If you have dental anxiety, mention this when booking so the team can allow extra appointment time.

Is the practitioner licensed?

All dentists practising in Singapore must be registered with the Singapore Dental Council (SDC) under the Dental Registration Act. You can verify any dentist's registration status on the SDC's public register at hprof.gov.sg before booking. Dental clinics must also hold an MOH clinic licence under the Healthcare Services Act. No specific licences are listed for B9 Dental Centre (HDB Hub Toa Payoh) in the KakiList record. It is advisable to confirm the consulting dentist's full name and SDC registration number directly with the clinic, and to check the MOH licensee directory to verify the clinic's premises licence is current. With a 3.1-star rating across 303 reviews, prospective patients should also read recent reviews carefully before booking. Confirm the practitioner's licence number on the relevant board's public register before treatment.
