I approach Ban Yew for carpentry works (not ID) as I only need to rectify a damage carpentry and fabricate cabinets along with some touch-up work (cracks on false wall). After being declined by many carpenters, Shane was the only one willing to take on my small project, he is extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating. His team of carpenters are also very professional and friendly. The workmanship turned out excellent — the cabinet, laminated wall, and skirting were all beautifully done. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality work!

I was lost on which IDs to engaged cuz there are many in the market. And hearing stories of some IDs ran away with uncompleted jobs, really worries me. Luckily I remembered Shane had taken over his dad’s Reno company and he had not changed his contact since 2007. I had known Shane since his NS days. Texted him and met him at Westgate and told him about the Reno. I also told him that I need him to expedite the Reno cuz my pregnant wife and elderly mom can’t stay in rented room for more than a month. So need him to expedite the job. He listened attentively and said he will try his best. He will try to squeeze my Reno in between his ongoing 7 Reno jobs. Fast forward, Shane indeed completed our Reno in 1 month from 24 Aug 2024 to 23 Sep 2024. I guess it was achievable cuz there were no hacking and tiling works for my unit. And during the Reno, Shane updated me almost daily on the progress of the work etc. He would also come down to site once a week to check on the progress. He is really professional and knowledgeable about renovating HDB BTO unit and the current trend. Thank you my friend.
